94 Diagon Alley

Chapter 176: Festival

The big, blond Death Eater who caused the most chaos cast a spell, hit him in the face, he let out a roar of pain, turned and shook twice, struggling to follow Death Eater The disciples and sisters fled behind.

Gwen and Hermione cast the Leglock Charm on the fleeing Death Eaters, but there were still a few people running downstairs quickly.

Harry got up from the ground and ran down the corridor. I was running into Fred and George, whom Kankan had found. They worked together to stop the blond Death Eater, Dolphine Rolle, and put a whole box of sarcoid powder on his head, and the dark wizard's face immediately froze. An ugly hard shell. But he seemed to have made up his mind not to make it easier for others, and he actually used a few Death-slaying spells on the twins.

Gwen picked up a brick next to him and threw it at his arm, and the two green lights shot off against the wall.

"What is Harry talking about? Muggle shot putter?" George was still thinking about joking.

"Be careful, gentlemen." Gwen's hands were shaking with fear, and he hurriedly cast a disarming spell on Rolle, "Remove your weapons!"

The blond Death Eater, who lost his wand, stopped fighting, shoving the crowd away and following in his companion's footsteps.

"I warned you not to get involved," George said to Gwen. "The professor and the Aurors have their plans."

"It looks like their arrangement didn't work." Gwen held down his shaking hand.

"Stop bickering, kids." Fred glanced at Lupin and McGonagall who were still fighting, and said to his brother, "Since there's no big problem upstairs, let's go down, Don't let the Death Eaters run to the door or they can Apparate."

The three nodded and rushed out of the castle together.

Leaving the castle gate of Hogwarts, Gwen saw Snape and Malfoy running about fifty meters away, Harry was a little distance from them, but he was biting behind . Then there was the Death Eater who had just run away, got someone else's wand from somewhere, and was casting a spell on Hagrid's hut not far away. With a loud explosion, a flying orange fireball four Run away. Hagrid's cabin was on fire.

Fred cursed loudly and ran to the forbidden forest grounds, intending to save his big friend's house.

Gwen stopped and asked George in a trembling voice, "What is that? Did you see it, George?"

"Where?" George also stood there, watching where Gwen pointed. Just below the Dark Mark and the Astronomy Tower, there was a vague figure lying on the ground, with Moody standing beside him.

Gwen covered her mouth, "That's a...? Oh no..." She strode forward with difficulty, "I have to see, George."

"Okay," George turned to look at Fred in the distance, who had just extinguished the raging fire in Hagrid's cabin with a clear spring like water. "I'll watch it with you, and you can't leave my sight for a moment now."

Moody had his back to them both, but the magic eye might have noticed them long ago.

"Stand there and don't move!" he said in a hoarse voice.

"We're students." George responded, "Weasley and Ollivander, is anyone hurt?"

Hearing these two names, Moody, who looked at him with his magic eyes again, slowly turned around and raised his wand.

A dazzling white light bloomed in front of the Hogwarts castle, Gwen couldn't see anything for a moment, she opened her eyes and ran forward. But because of the blankness in front of her, she was stabbed in tears. After half a minute, Gwen, who stumbled and fell several times, finally regained his sight.

In front of her was a familiar corpse.

Gwen lunged at Dumbledore with the last ray of hope under Moody's watch.

    Not breathing.

    Cold and deadly.

There lies the body of their greatest headmaster.

      .

The taut threads in Gwen's brain snapped off too, and the headache that had plagued her tonight suddenly disappeared.

"No—" Gwen couldn't believe it, shaking Dumbledore's body vigorously, "Save him, save him."

George was also stunned, but he still managed to maintain his composure, touching Dumbledore's wrist with one hand and hugging Gwen with the other.

    "Merlin...he's...let him go, Gwen."

This is not as promised, Gwen thought he would see Dumbledore stunned, and members of the Order of the Phoenix should have been nearby to meet him. Gwen could claim that Dumbledore had been killed in battle, and even claim that Snape killed the Headmaster, as they wished.

"What have I done!" Gwen cried desperately, her fake wand ultimately failing to help them. The principal died at his own school in such a state of embarrassment and humiliation. All calculations, all preparations fell short.

Slowly, the crowd in pajamas walked out of the castle suspiciously, looking around nervously, looking for the traces left by the Death Eaters who escaped in the night. They gathered at the foot of the astronomical tower, exclaiming and sobbing from time to time.

"What are they looking at?" asked Hagrid, who approached the castle from a distance, with Fang at their feet. "What's that, lying on the grass?" asked Hagrid eagerly again, heading straight for the foot of the Astronomy Tower. "See, Harry? Right under the tower, under the sign... ugh... don't you think anyone's been caught? fall-?"

Hagrid stopped talking, the thought was obviously too scary to say it out loud. Harry walked side by side with him.

Dream through the whispering crowd to the front, where the stunned teachers and students made a gap.

Hagrid let out a moan/groan of pain and shock, but he didn't stop and continued to move forward slowly until he came to where Dumbledore lay, crouching on his beside .

They are still not mentally prepared to see the scene in front of them: the best wizard they have met in this life, and maybe they will never meet again, with their limbs spread out, limbs broken, lying in front of them.

Dumbledore's eyes were closed, and from his outstretched angle he looked like he was asleep. Harry reached to straighten the half-moon glasses on the hooked nose, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with his sleeve, and stared down at the wise old face, struggling to face the unacceptable fact. : Dumbledore will never say anything to him again, never help him...

"Who did it?" Gwen asked Harry in a trembling voice, "You see, who is it?"

"Snape killed him." Harry knelt on the ground, gritted his teeth and said viciously, tears running down his dirty face, leaving two marks.

"How is it possible, he—" Gwen couldn't go on, she didn't even notice that the gold thread was still tightly bound to her tongue, and thought she was speechless because she was choked up.

No shock can compare to this moment. Because Dumbledore was literally turned into a cold corpse, and it was Snape who cast the spell on him—the trusted Snape who was supposed to use a fake wand in the plan. Dumbledore is dead, like the tallest tower at Hogwarts has fallen, Gwen thought. What about her grandfather, what about the students, what about the great cause against Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

More and more teachers and students gathered around the lawn, and their silence made the calm water at Hogwarts even more desolate.

Professor McGonagall raised her wand high, and the silver-white light flew from her wand to the cloudy night sky. Everyone raised their wands together, and hundreds of dazzling points of light slowly rose into the air like starlight, dispersing the black demon mark on the astronomical tower.

    Good night, Principal.

    Last hope

Harry didn't want to leave Dumbledore, he didn't want to go anywhere. Hagrid's hand on Harry's shoulder was shaking. Then another voice said, "Harry, let's go."

A much smaller, warmer hand took Harry's and pulled him up. Harry got to his feet in a daze, until he was dazed through the crowd, and the scent of flowers wafted from the air before realizing that it was Ginny who had been dragging him into the castle. Inaudible words came from all sides, sobbing, shouting and wailing piercing the night sky, but Harry and Ginny continued on, up the steps and into the foyer. Faces flickered at the edge of Harry's vision, and people stared at him, whispering, stunned and confused. As they walked up the marble staircase, Gryffindor's rubies were scattered on the floor, glowing red like drops of blood.

“Let’s go to the school hospital.” Ginny said.

    "I'm not hurt," Harry said.

"It was McGonagall's orders," said Ginny. "Everyone was there, Fred, Ron, Hermione, Lupin and all—"

Fear rose again in Harry's heart. He had almost forgotten the motionless bodies just now.

    "Ginny, who else is dead?"

"Don't be afraid, none of us die."

"But the Dark Mark—Malfoy says he stepped on a corpse—"

"He stepped on Bill, but he's fine, he's alive."

However, her voice is a little different.

    "Are you sure?"

"I'm sure...he's just—badly wounded. Fenrir Greyback attacked him. Madame Pomfrey said he wouldn't—won't be the same again... Ginny's voice trembled a little. "We don't know what the aftermath would be—I mean, Fenrir Greyback was a werewolf, but he wasn't a wolf at the time."

George and Gwen were not far from them, and George stood up almost immediately when he heard Ginny's words
