A day at Hogwarts

Chapter 69 The Treatment Process Was Successful

It was very late at night, and St. Mungo's Hospital ushered in a rare calm.

The patients in Janus Sitch's ward also fell asleep, and the therapist on duty also slipped into sleep.

The therapist was woken up, rubbed his sleepy eyes, and saw that it was Dumbledore standing in front of him. He was a little panicked, and even more panicked when he saw the dean behind Dumbledore.

Dumbledore said to the therapist kindly: "Please help to send the Longbottoms to the treatment room."

But the dean didn't look so kind. Although he didn't speak, his expression and eyes all revealed "salary deduction".

The therapist quickly brought the two patients to the treatment room next to the ward. She wanted to stay and see how Dumbledore treated people, but she had to leave with the dean and wait in the corridor.

Dumbledore let the Longbottoms lie on the hospital bed and fell asleep again, and took out the blood-red Sorcerer's Stone and handed it to Angelina.

Angelina turned back into Veela form, and when she took the Sorcerer's Stone, she said to Dumbledore, "It's best to tie them up and not move around."

Then she held the Philosopher's Stone in her hands and chanted a strange spell. Seeing Dumbledore's serious face, Charles probably couldn't understand the language.

The Philosopher's Stone rose a little from Angelina's hand, and a red mist of light emerged, constantly circling around.

These fogs of light came to the sky above the Longbottoms, forming a circular ring with complex patterns, and then shone red light on them like a lamp.

The couple on the hospital bed slept soundly at first, but suddenly struggled violently shortly afterwards.

Outside the treatment room, the director of St. Mungo's Hospital was reprimanding the therapist, embarrassing himself in front of Dumbledore, with serious consequences.

A heart-piercing scream suddenly came from behind the door, startling the two people in the corridor.

In the treatment room, Dumbledore stood quietly by the wall with a dignified expression.

Standing next to him, Charles was a little nervous, turned his head and asked the principal in a low voice, "Professor, what do you think of this spell?"

Dumbledore replied after a few minutes: "The spell is Veela's own language. We can't use this kind of spell. If you don't look carefully, you can't see the change."

Charles was not too surprised. Although Veela and humans are not reproductively isolated, each has its own strengths.

But no matter how careful he was, he could only see the red halo shining red light on the Longbottoms, like a red light, and he couldn't see any changes in the spell.

But the Longbottom couple still had some changes. They were all struggling non-stop. The pain was enough to make people wake up, but their eyes gradually changed from dead fish to sharks.

When the sky was getting dark, Mrs. Longbottom suddenly yelled in a hoarse voice: "Take Neville away!"

Dumbledore froze for a moment, then a heartfelt smile appeared on his face, and his eyes were slightly moist.

Mr. Longbottom started cursing Bellatrix Lestrange a few minutes later in the most vicious language in the world, and then started cursing Voldemort.

The cleaners at St. Mungo's Hospital had just come to work, heard someone shouting Voldemort at the end of the corridor, and immediately scrambled and crawled to report to the Aurors.

Not long after, there was a sound of footsteps outside the treatment room. Dumbledore didn't know what was going on, so he opened the door and went out.

Soon he was coming in with an old leonine whom Charles knew by now, Rufus Scrimgeour, Chief of the Auror Office.

Scrimgeour looked at the scene, then turned to Dumbledore and asked, "What's going on here?"

Dumbledore said in a deep voice: "Rufus, you have to make an unbreakable oath with me before I can tell you."

Scrimgeour stretched out his right hand without hesitation.

After casting the spell, Dumbledore told him the ins and outs, including the use of Nico Flamel's Philosopher's Stone.

Dumbledore said again: "Although they have opened their eyes now, the memories keep popping up just like in a dream."

At this time, the Longbottoms stopped scolding Voldemort and the Death Eaters, and stopped struggling. Judging from the conversation, they seemed to be recalling the past.

Not long after, Mr. Longbottom lay there and said mysteriously: "Honey, Scrimgeour didn't give me a raise today, so I secretly put spicy MSG in his teapot..."

Scrimgeour just finished listening to the cause and effect, and was about to thank Charles, who had brought the therapist, when he obviously paused when he heard this.

Both Charles and Dumbledore began to study the ceiling, holding back their laughter.

Near noon, the Longbottoms closed their eyes and began to snore.

Angelina stopped her magic and swayed, and Charles immediately went to hold her arm.

"It's okay." Angelina said to him after turning into a human form, "I'm younger than Dumbledore."

Then she returned the dark red Philosopher's Stone to Dumbledore, and said a little tiredly: "The treatment process was very successful. According to past experience, it's up to them to see how far they can recover in the end."

Dumbledore said to her gratefully: "Thank you for everything you have done, Ma'am. If you need help in the future, just come to me."

Scrimgeour also came over to thank the Longbottoms after checking the situation of the Longbottoms. He saw Angelina's exhaustion, so he didn't say much, and immediately went out to let the director of St. Mungo's Hospital arrange a place for meals and rest. All paid for by the Auror Office.

There is a single ward in the hospital for local tyrants, the dean immediately arranged for Angelina to rest in one, and the Longbottoms moved to the opposite side.

But Angelina declined everyone's arrangement, saying that she could just go home and rest.

Today was Christmas Eve, and Dumbledore and the others were hard to keep. Scrimgeour personally sent her to the Ministry of Magic to transfer to the fireplace of the French Ministry of Magic.

Charles also took the opportunity to see off Angelina and slipped away, not to mention that he was also a little sleepy all night, but the fact that the old man was found by Veela was enough to make him rush back to listen to gossip.

After Angelina left, Scrimgeour said to Charles: "Mr. Smith, if there is a need for help, as long as it is within my power, I will do my best."

Scrimgeour was very grateful to Charles for inviting Angelina to treat the Longbottoms, but he was a little worried that Charles would make some excessive demands at a young age.

Charles didn't have anything to ask him for help, so he couldn't ask the current Auror office director to help him with his vacation homework, that was the job of the future Auror office director.

But one thing immediately occurred to him, and he asked Scrimgeour, "Is it okay to connect my fireplace to the Floo network?"

Charles has long wanted to run around through the Floo network, but the last time Professor McGonagall took him home through the network temporarily opened by Hogwarts. To use it normally, he must be connected to the Floo network of the Ministry of Magic. .

Scrimgeour asked about his family's situation, and then took him to the Floo Network Management Bureau on the sixth floor of the Ministry of Magic. There were on-duty personnel monitoring the Floo Network, and it was only a matter of a word.

Charles asked him to help give Eleanor a Christmas gift with the owl of the Ministry of Magic, and then borrowed the Floo powder here to return to No. 3 Privet Drive.

Jack was sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper, and he didn't look surprised to see Charles come out of the fireplace, which had already seen a burst of green flames when he connected to the Floo network just now.

Charles just said, "Grandpa, I want to ask you something..."

As a result, Jack pretended to be calm and said to him: "Don't ask, if you ask, I will beat you!"

Charles scratched his head. It seemed that the Veela matter was serious, so he changed the subject: "Is the fireplace matter... so serious?"

When Jack heard it was a fireplace, he asked, "What's wrong with the fireplace?"

Charles said: "Now the fireplace at home is connected to the Floo network, which is convenient, but I want to modify it and strengthen the protection measures."

Jack said whatever, anyway, there is no fireplace at home.
