Back For My Daughter

1001 Something Eerie Around The House

Although the Shenya Hospital was quite big, it was located not very deep in the city at all.

And those who would usually come to the hospital would be people who had quite some ability.

It would not be wrong to say that only rich people could afford to be treated by the best hospital in the province.

And there was rarely a need for anyone to wait for a taxi since most people who would come here would have their own cars.

It could be also said as luck that the young women were able to find a taxi even when it was the weekend.

If not then it would have not been shocking for them to walk back to the dorm walking on their legs.

Meanwhile, sitting in the front seat beside the driver, Xiao Ya was looking at her necklace with a worried look as the four young women at the back giggled and snickered at each other.

She held the basket-shaped necklace that hung around her neck which also held a thumb-sized stone which was engraved with articulate golden lines on it.

But if one were to look at it carefully then they would notice that the stone was buzzing ever so slightly as if it was alive.

And right now they had just turned to enter the street that would lead to Ye Qian's house.

By the time the women in the back stopped giggling they had already reached their destination.

"Ahh, finally I am here."

Lin stretched her back revealing her slim waist which was could not be any fairer.

Meanwhile, without waiting for others, she quickly rushed to the house as the gate was still open and pressed on the doorbell.

Yanran paid for the taxi while shaking her head as they turned, but noticing that Xiao Ya was still standing while the others had left, she felt that something was not right.

"Are you not feeling good?"

She asked in worry.

They had brought her right from the hospital and it would not be wrong to say that she had not rested even a bit after waking up from her unconscious state for more than a day.

Although Xiao Ya could be said as sleeping all this long, her body had not been provided with any kind of nutrition that one would take at an interval of some time. So it was rather imminent that she could be tired and feeling lightheaded.

"Umm, no I am fine, I am just feeling a little weird."

Xiao Ya looked around, it was not known to her just what this kind of feeling was, but she also felt that this feeling was not something that was sensing, but was something that the Serpent God Egg was trying to tell her about something.

"Hmm, it should be because you have not eaten anything for more than 2 days by now."

Yanran pursed her lips.

They should have given her something to eat and had indeed given her some chicken soup after she woke up, but that was defiantly not enough since she had only drank a few spoons of it before they got Ye Qian's call after which everyone was busy packing the stuff in hurry.

"Umm, don't you feel that there is something eerie here?"

Xiao Ya looked around feeling a bit weird.

She was sure that the day she left this house she didn't feel something like this, but right now it felt as if there was something staring at the house.

"Huh?"

Yanran took a look around and then shook her head.

"And it's a bit cold as well?"

She had just turned when Yanran heard Xiao Ya's mumble once again.

"Hmm, it is indeed a bit cold here, but that should be because of the construction is going on and it is letting all the air to flow at ease and there is also a big park close by."

Although she also felt a bit cold here, but Yanran thought that the reason for Xiao Ya to feel cold would be because of what she had come out of just a while ago.

Meanwhile, Yu Lan and Mei waved their hands at them while Lin and already rushed inside the house.

"Ahhh, it's Aunt Linnn."

Little Jia called out as she saw the first person whom they recognized as one of their Aunt Lan'er friends.

"Hey, Jia."

Being called Aunt in such a sweet way, Lin's heart was filled with delight as she hugged Little Jia.

"Hehe, Aunt Lin, don't break Big Sister's hair bun, Aunt Wei made it with a lot of effort."

Seeing Little Jia getting picked up and pecked on her cheek, Little Qiqi and Xiao Ya giggled.

"Ohh, alright, alright, I won't disturb your mom's hard work."

Lin nodded as she looked at the bun of hair which was present on Little Jia's head.

"Wow, you look just like a princess from the stories."

She exclaimed with the very first picturesque that appeared in her mind seeing Little Jia's hair bun.

"Hehe, Papa also said the same."

Little Jia grinned as she looked at Ye Qian who stood a few feet away from them.

It was he who had opened the door while the little girls eagerly waited to welcome the guests.

"Haha, that's because that is indeed the truth."

Lin laughed as she took a few steps and called out.

"Hey you what are you waiting for, the little girls are so eagerly waiting to welcome you and you are making them wait in such cold conditions."

Lin's scolding could easily let anyone know that she was worried that the little girls would feel cold standing so close to the door while it was still open.

Little Qiqi shook her head and smiled.

"Aunt Lin doesn't have to worry about Qiqi and Big Sister, we don't feel cold at all."

Little Qiqi's words made Lin a bit amazed for a moment before she laughed and pinched her cheek.

"Alright, don't try to act strong, I will be worried if you get cold because of standing in cold."

Lin said with a smile, she just thought that Little Qiqi was giving her assurance to her worry, but that only made her feel even warmer at heart.
