Back For My Daughter

1224 The Secret To Having Ennumber Of Customers!

Ye Qian nodded hearing their words.

It was indeed true, the prices for food enriched with medicinal herbs were not cheap enough.

And although there was also a simple menu since the couple didn't just want to open a food court just for the upper class of society and also common people, when making the food they still added some medicinal ingredients.

That was the reason why many of the young people and even the elders would enjoy the food given there.

One had to know that even normal food here is about the same price as any normal restaurant and this food court was all jam-packed most of the time.

And it was not because the prices were the same, but because of the food itself which was completely healthy and also at a reasonable price.

"So why would one not want to eat if they are given both health and taste?"

Uncle Fu's words made Ye Qian agree.

But after a moment, Aunt Qin seemed to have thought of something as she looked at Ye Qian and asked.

"Tell me, how did you notice that we were using medicinal herbs?"

She was sure that no one other than her and her husband was aware that they were using medicinal herbs in the food that they made.

Even the chefs didn't know of this since they were only asked to add them as some spices which are needed in a very subtle quantity.

So she could not help but wonder just how was Ye Qian even able to think that they added various medicinal herbs and roots to the food.

She was sure that neither she nor her husband had said this to him.

"Ahh yes, how did you find out about it?"

Uncle Fu also nodded and stared at Ye Qian.

Scratching the back of his head with a wry smile, Ye Qian somehow said.

"Eh, that, it's because I have a bit of knowledge about medicines plants and herbs."

How could he tell them that just by the smell of the herbs he was able to come to this thought?

Even if they did use medicinal ingredients, it was not to an amount where one could be able to know of its presence just by a mere sniff.

Uncle Fu looked at Aunt Qin and then nodded before turning back to Ye Qian and saying.

"Hmm, you should have quiet knowledge to be able to find out about them from just the taste."

Although the customers would also find that the taste of the food here was a bit different but they would always think that it was a special spice or ingredient that they used and not a medicinal herb.

So for Ye Qian to be able to find out about it even with the trace amount that they use and even with the presence of numerous spices and flavours, Uncle Fu was quite fascinated by Ye Qian's knowledge.

"Haha, not much not much."

Ye Qian shook his head, but that only made the couple nod in agreement.

They had a basic idea of Ye Qian's character and also how he never liked to put on airs of how good he was.

But this still caused the two of them to look up to Ye Qian even more.

"So tell me what is the herb used in this dumpling?"

Aunt Qin thought of something and then asked.

A smile appeared on the corner of Ye Qian's lips as he shook his head.

"There is nothing special in the dumpling itself."

Ye Qian's words caused her brows to be raised.

It was not like what she had intended to do, but in a hurry, she had forgotten to add the herb mix while packing the dumplings with her own hands.

Ye Qian then pointed his chopsticks to the bowl of soup and then continued.

"But there are herbs in the soup."

Ye Qian then pursed his lips before saying.

"And if I am not wrong then they are purple spotted mushrooms."

"It's extremely rich in umami flavour and also good for bone growth and also in joint pain."

The old couple turned to each other before staring at Ye Qian in shock.

They had been using the soup for more than 2 decades and they had indeed started to use it since keeping in mind that it would help people with joint pain.

But never had it come to their mind that there could also be another good benefit of using it.

In fact, there were many people who would say that their joins or muscles didn't hurt much after drinking the soup served by the food court.

But never had there been anyone who would say that their bones grew all this long.

Seeing the somewhat baffled and also confused faces, Ye Qian understood what they were unable to understand.

"It's natural that people will not notice it since bone growth is very slow and it will only be possible till one reaches 25 years or so."

Ye Qian's words made them agree as to why they had never heard anyone say that.

"If there are some children who have this soup then I am sure that they would be comparatively taller than their parents."

Hearing Ye Qian's words, Aunt Qin''s brows raised as she thought of something before turning to her husband.

"Do you remember the kid from about 10 years ago who used to come here every week along with his parents?"

"Umm?"

"I don't really."

Uncle Fu smiled wryly shaking his head.

"Ahh, the one who used to say that he could even finish tens of litres of soup if we game him."

Aunt Qin pursed her lips before trying to make him remember.

"Ohh that kid, he was one weird."

After a moment, Uncle Fu seemed to have remembered the kid and nodded and couldn't help but chuckle.

Aunt Qin nodded.

"Yes that one, I saw him a few days ago, he is like even more than 6 feet already."

"I didn't recognize him, but it was him who called me by the name Soup aunty."

Aunt Qin smiled wryly remembering that.
