Back For My Daughter

993 Could Little Qiqi Really Have Behaved Like That?

In the living room, Grandpa Xiao sighed while shaking his head thinking how much their daughter-in-law had suffered while working all these years and even taking care of their granddaughter.

"Dad, you are wrong and right as well."

A loving and gentle smile appeared on Yuan Meng's lips as she held Ye Qian's arm as he walked to her and shook her head at Grandpa Xiao's sigh.

She placed her head onto Ye Qian's shoulder.

"Hmm, as long as you don't work too hard, we will not be worried."

A smile appeared on Grandpa Xiao's face as he nodded and waved his hand towards them indicating them to leave and finish their work quickly.

Ye Qian and Yuan Meng nodded as they walked towards the kitchen while still not letting go of eachothers hands.

"All that matters to us is that our children live a good life and with what you have gone through that's the most we can hope for you both."

Behind them, Grandpa Xiao muttered.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, as Yuan Meng walked in she turned her head to Ye Qian and pondered.

"Was there something important that the guy from before was telling you?"

Ye Qian shook his head.

Although it was indeed serious and the fact that there was even the slightest chance that this was going to come true, Ye Qian didn't want to give leeway to this.

Even if there was a possibility that there was nothing like such which might happen, but being cautious was still better to be found completely shocked and not being able to think of anything at the interval when something suddenly happened.

And with the fact that Ye Qian had been feeling vague that there was something that had been following them this might be even related.

No matter how much he tried to look at it.

The baleful aura that he had noticed the day before in Yuan Meng's Highschool was filled with highly evil energy and the deaths of so many dogs had made it clear to him that there was something that was not humanly possible in the city and it was near to Yuan Meng and Ning Wei's perimeter of work.

No matter if he was powerful enough or not, if he was not able to protect his family at the right time then what kind of use his powers would be?

And even if he had given the protective ornaments to Yuan Meng and Ning Wei, there was still some level of restrainment to them.

Although the chances of the thing having strength more than that of a Nascent Soul Cultivator were even less, but Ye Qian could not be at rest knowing that there might be something around his family which was probably a threat to them.

Seeing that his words didn't match with his facial expressions, Yuan Meng pursed her lips but still didn't peer further, she knew that if there was something that he didn't want to tell her about then it must be because of some reason.

"You know that I will always be there to listen to what you want to say."

Yuan Meng said as she sat at the table and sipped on a glass of water after which she muttered with a deep gaze.

"Do you think that Qiqi would really scold Xiao Ya in such a way?"

"Huh umm?"

Ye Qian was still thinking about the words that Le Zheng had heard from the Old Beggar when he heard Yuan Meng's mutter.

Ye Qian sat beside her and shook his head as he placed his hand on hers which rested on the table.

A gentle look appeared on his face as he continued.

"You know better than me that how our daughter is, do you think that she would really want to scold her little sister in such a manner?'

Instead of answering her question, Ye Qian asked this.

It was indeed true, all this long, if there was someone who knew Little Qiqi the most then it would be her, Yuan Meng.

Of course, not because she was her mother, but because the person whom she had stayed along with the most was also her.

"Hmm, but you just saw how Qiqi was regretting all that had happened..."

Yuan Meng's brows furrowed.

Indeed she knew that her daughter would not do something like this.

In fact, it was even more impossible for her to do so even if the little girl had gotten angry.

That was because if Little Qiqi did get angry then she would only cry and scolding was something that she had never done.

How could a little girl scold someone whom she had always wanted to be with and have?

But no matter what, the crying face of her daughter would not leave her mind.

This can be said the second time the little girl had cried so much, but this was not because of someone else, but because she blamed herself.

"She will think that her scolding Xiao Ya was bad and in fact it is, but next time she will not be like that."

"And I know what happened, Xiao Ya although didn't say anything, but the little girl excitedly had said that mom also knew magic like me, although mom would not be able to understand what it really means, but this concerns the safety of her father whom she had recently met, so our daughter is a bit possessive towards me."

As Ye Qian said these words, a prod look appeared on his face.

What would be better for a father than to have his daughter be so concerned about him.

"Hey, don't be a smug."

Seeing the proud look on Ye Qian's face, Yuan Meng giggled and flinched her finger on his nose.

"Hey hey, I can see, you are clearly envious of me for our daughter being more possessive towards me."

With a sneer hung on his lips, Ye Qian rebuked.

Just now the flinch on the tip of his nose hurt him a bit.
