Chapter 14: 14. Sudden attack

   Chapter 14 Fourteen. Sudden Attack

  噔噔噔—

A pair of thick legs with dark red plush slippers stepped on the wooden steps and walked downstairs.

Oliver, who was holding the microphone, looked up quietly and saw the Slavic lady in the floral nightdress walking to her side, her slippers knocking on the floor impatiently.

The gasping sound of a savage beast resounded above his head.

Oliver squeezed out a smile, not daring to look directly at the figure and hugged it in front of his chest, with arms as thick as his thighs: "Lady Slav, the boss said to come over in an hour."

The sound of the strong wind rang in the ears, the door-like palm fell, and a urn sounded.

"You did very well."

At this moment, Oliver thought that his head would be smashed to pieces, everything slowed down before his eyes, and past memories flashed before his eyes.

The big hand gently landed on Oliver's chicken coop-like brown hair.

The huge silhouette turned around and stepped on the stairs with heavy footsteps. The wooden ladder trembled back upstairs.

Oliver's tense body slumped, leaning against the table to keep himself from falling.

   "I'm sorry boss..."

Oliver felt guilty and uneasy, and tried to convince himself. For example, if the boss is succeeded by the Slavs, there is no need to risk exorcism to make money.

I hope the boss doesn't hate himself.

   thought Oliver.

  …

Black Gold Street, a slightly "upscale" place than Sailor Street.

The people here have a stable and non-hazardous job, and the residents of the Sailors Block are, like their names, generally sailors and sailors.

Therefore, the sense of the Black Gold neighborhood is better, without the lingering fishy smell in the air, nor the ragged poor and the yellow-faced and skinny children playing in the street.

Occasionally, nobles dressed in luxurious service passed by—this scene was rarely seen in Sailors Street.

In front of the apartment of the Slavs is a three-storey house that covers an area about the size of a basketball court. The height of nearly 10 meters makes it stand out on this street.

When Lu Li came to the door, Oliver was waiting under the front steps, pacing back and forth with his hands in his hands, not noticing the approaching Lu Li for a while.

   "What's on your mind?"

A familiar voice sounded beside him, Oliver raised his head in surprise and saw a slender figure: "Old, boss!"

His panicked appearance made Lu Li a little strange: "Is something wrong?"

"No no! Come in with me."

Oliver didn't dare to look at Lu Li, turned his head down and walked into the apartment. He tripped over the steps because he was too nervous, and almost knocked on the door.

Standing behind him, Lu Li quietly watched all this and followed into the apartment without saying a word.

The light in the hall is a little dim. Most buildings in Belfast don't have many windows, which are fine on sunny days, but can get very dark inside when the weather is overcast.

"I'll take you to see the Slavs." Oliver walked up the stairs, afraid to look back for fear of being seen.

"Um."

Lu Li followed behind, looking around.

The apartment is on the second floor. There are closed doors on both sides of the corridor that extends forward, but there is only one window at each end of the two sides, which makes the corridor dim and can barely see. A hazy beam of light was cast into the hallway, and fine dust drifted above the faded planks.

followed Oliver, and just took a few steps, Oliver suddenly seemed to have just remembered something: "Ah boss, you go to the Slavic lady first, the room on the right at the end of the corridor is, I will go back to my room to get you other commissions."

said Oliver opened the door beside him.

"I can wait for you here." Lu Li said.

Oliver stiffened, turned back and smiled dryly: "Not so good..."

Lu Li stared at Oliver for a few seconds, then nodded vaguely: "Then I'll go first."

"Okay, I'll get my things and go right away!" Oliver hurriedly assured.

Lu Li turned around and continued forward, the sound of the door being opened and closed was heard behind him.

Oliver's abnormal demeanor was so obvious that Lu Li didn't need to think about it to find out his problem.

Although Oliver has no reason to harm him, putting his own safety on the kindness that others may have is not something Lu Li would do. He reached into his arms and grasped the **** of the flintlock.

After more than ten seconds, Lu Li came to the end of the corridor, the door was half-closed, and a faint aroma came out from the crack of the door.

   "Are the Slavs there?"

Lu Li raised his hand and knocked with light force, but the door opened slowly with a creak.

   Everything in the room follows.

The room is bright, perhaps because of the four windows. The light penetrated into the room through the thin veil in front of the window, mixing with the pink-based room to create a hazy girly style.

Lu Li approached the room, the fragrance of the perfume suddenly became strong, making his heart beat faster. Lu Li looked at a photo frame on the bedside table. In the photo was a girl with two ponytails with a bright smile. The girl is delicate, with a few freckles on her cheeks that make her look alive, holding a bear doll much larger than herself.

This bear doll is sitting against the wall at this time, and its faded and worn appearance seems to indicate that the photo has been separated by many years.

After a quick glance, Lu Li retracted his gaze, turned around and prepared to retreat to the door to wait.

It is impolite to break into a bedroom without the owner's permission.

However, at the moment of turning around, a pale face full of flesh and blood appeared behind the door.

Lu Li's black eyes suddenly shrank into needle glow, he stepped back quickly, picked up the gun holster and shouted coldly: "The evil spirits are gone!"

"Mr. Lu Li, you are finally here!"

   Surprise shouted.

Lu Li stopped when he wanted to pull out the flintlock gun, and frowned slightly: "Lady Slav?"

The figure behind the door had a backseat, a blond hair neatly tied into a ponytail, a floral nightdress that stretched his body tightly, and a pair of sturdy calves sticking out from the bottom of the skirt.

A woman who is full of shock in every sense, especially her pale face and fiery red lips.

"My name is Nova Slav, Mr. Lu Li, you can call me Nova." Mrs. Slav blinked quickly, staring greedily at Lu Li's face.

That look is like a brown bear who found honey.

Lu Li retracted his palm and lowered it naturally: "Good Slavic lady."

Mrs. Slav reached out and pushed the door: "I heard Oliver talk about you, you are more handsome and... special than he described."

She approached Lu Li unconsciously, immersed in those abyss-like eyes.

Realizing that something was wrong, Lu Li frowned and said, "Lady Slav, please respect yourself, I—"

The sound stopped abruptly. Lu Li dodged to one side, avoiding the bear hug from the Slavic lady.

Before Lu Li could stand still, the huge silhouette rushed towards him again. Lu Li had to jump on the bed and roll to one side when the Slavic lady rushed towards him.

  !

There was a muffled sound behind him, and the floor trembled.

Lu Li took advantage of this time to open the door and rushed out of the room.

ran through the ten-meter-long corridor and quickly rushed back to the lobby on the first floor, but the door was tightly closed waiting for Lu Li.

  The apartment door was locked.
