Chapter 377: 292. Safe Lennon Islands?

Chapter 377 Two hundred and ninety-two. Safe Lennon Islands?

  dadadadada——

The towering hat-tops of Shymfast's characteristic buildings block the storm, and the sound of horses' hooves can be faintly heard in the torrential rain.

The Champs-Elysees block, the white buildings are dull under the heavy rain.

The carriage stopped in front of a restaurant that was still open. Lu Li handed the poncho to Qiao Qiao, along with 300 shillings: "Go buy dinner tonight and tomorrow morning, and buy some food that is easy to carry."

Needless to say, Jojo knows what to do.

"I brought the money, my entire net worth." Jojo took the poncho, ignoring the shillings, patted her pocket and said, "What do you want to eat?"

   "Meat."

"learn."

Jojo put on a poncho and pushed open the door of the carriage. The cold and humid air rushed toward her face. She rubbed her arms and jumped out of the carriage, splashing a piece of water.

"Find us at No. 66 when you're done buying."

Lu Li's calm voice came from behind him.

The    restaurant is No. 12, only more than 200 meters away.

Jojo waved her hand without turning her head, and pushed open the dining room door, which shone brightly in the window. Behind her, the carriage slowly drove away from the restaurant door.

The carriage stopped in front of Gate 66 of the Champs-Elysée.

The light on the first floor was off, and only the dim light of the electric light in the bedroom on the second floor was on.

Lu Li reached for the poncho, thought of something, retracted his hand, picked up the suitcase and backpack, and got out of the carriage. The torrential rain that hit him and caused pain was separated by an invisible existence above Lu Li's head, and slipped from both sides, as if there was an invisible umbrella on top of his head to protect him from the wind and rain.

Lu Li walked up the steps and rang the doorbell, and soon, the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs came from the house.

"Who is it?" Aunt Mary asked in a gentle voice.

"Anna and Lu Li." Lu Li replied.

The footsteps behind the door became rapid, and the door was quickly opened.

Aunt Mary, who was behind the door, was wearing a creamy white silk nightgown with surprise on her face. She stood on tiptoe and hugged Lu Li gently. She asked in surprise, "Oh my god, why are you here?"

   "Passing by here."

"Come in quickly." Aunt Mary glanced outside and quickly stepped aside.

Close the door, Aunt Mary entered the living room, turned on the light, and the soft light poured out.

"Where is Anna?" Mary asked, looking around.

Under the stun of the electric light, Anna appeared in an illusory soul and said softly, "Aunt Mary."

Aunt Mary's eyes became gentle. She noticed something in Anna's eyes and said softly, "You have grown up too..."

She turned around and said to Lu Li, "You guys came directly from Belfast? Have you eaten dinner?"

   "Jojo went to buy it."

Aunt Mary nodded, remembered something and asked, "Where are you going?"

   "Shadow Town."

"Shadowtown..." Aunt Mary frowned. "The town next to Shadowswamp? Isn't it missing..."

   "So we're going."

Aunt Mary nodded thoughtfully: "Be safe, is there anything I can help you with?"

"No."

"Always drink something to warm up." Aunt Mary smiled, gently pulled Anna into the sofa, and then went into the kitchen to prepare coffee.

Lu Li sat down beside Anna, the sofa sunk, and Anna leaned lightly on her shoulders.

Anna had the illusion that she had a body, otherwise, where would the beating in her chest come from, and she controlled herself not to snicker.

Looking around the room, Aunt Mary's house has changed a lot from the last time she came. Those personal belongings were gone, and the house was as clean as the one it had just moved into.

"Are you going to leave here?" Lu Li asked.

Aunt Mary returned to the living room with two cups of coffee, one of which was handed to Lu Li.

"I'm going to the Lennon Islands." Aunt Mary smiled knowingly at Anna who was leaning against Lu Li.

"My exorcist friend told me that the refuge is only for nobles, exorcists and their families. I'm not eligible to go in, but the Lennon Islands are very strange and safe there."

"She told you about the safety of the Lennon Islands?"

"Well, she said a lot of people think about moving there after the storm passes." Aunt Mary sighed. "Who would want to leave their home if the surroundings were not getting worse day by day."

It takes at least one to two weeks to reach the Lennon Islands from Rodester Harbor. Even if the current large cruise ships are relatively comfortable, life on board for nearly half a month will be very difficult.

It seems that the news of the safety of the Lennon Islands is likely to be spread by the three major organizations.

They think other places are no longer suitable for human existence?

Unfortunately, the phone line was cut off because of the storm, otherwise Lu Li could call Tesla and ask.

"What about you? Do you want to stay in the Ellen Peninsula?" Aunt Mary suddenly asked, her tone was hopeful: "We can take a boat to settle there together."

  Lu Li thought quietly.

As the world slowly reveals the truth, the refuge point on the top of the cliff seems to be no longer safe, and now an archipelago far away from the whirlpool has suddenly appeared to lure Lu Li.

But Lu Li had to find out if it was true or not.

After thinking about it, he replied to Aunt Mary: "I'll confirm the news when I come back. If it's true...you can go to the Lennon Islands. If we don't come back, you can decide for yourself."

Aunt Mary frowned: "Is Shadow Town so dangerous..."

"Everything has to be prepared for the worst."

The atmosphere became a little dignified, but then Aunt Mary asked Lu Li and Anna some questions like an elder, and the atmosphere returned to ease.

At a certain moment, when Aunt Mary was asking about Annie's situation, Lu Li suddenly said, "Jojo hasn't come back yet."

"That friend of yours?" Aunt Mary looked out the window, but there were no pedestrians under the dim street lights. "Where did he buy the food?"

"She went to number 12 on this block."

"Huntley's delicious pan-fried steak?" Aunt Mary asked, and when she was affirmed, she murmured, "It usually takes half an hour at Little Huntley's, and now it's past...forty-five minutes."

"Is there anything weird about Shymfast recently?" Lu Li stood up and asked, and Anna, who was next to him, almost fell on the sofa.

"Weird...there are indeed some rumors." Aunt Mary remembered something. "Recently, it has been rumored that there is a ghost that died in vain in a dark alley. She will beg people passing by to save him, but whether it is to escape or help, she will drag people into the alley."

"It's that resentful spirit." Anna looked at Lu Li.

Lu Li walked to the suitcase placed in the entrance, put it on the dining table and unbuttoned it.

Three flintlock guns, neatly arranged, lay quietly in the box.

Lu Li took them out one by one, put them in the holster, and hung them on his waist and thighs.

"I'll go find her with you." Aunt Mary is going to get the women's coat from the hanger.

   "You stay."

  .

The suitcase is closed, revealing a pair of calm black eyes.
