Bizarre Detective Agency

Chapter 477: 54. Lost of the Port of Rodster

Chapter 477 Fifty-four. The Fall of Rodster Harbor

The door opened and Finn fell into the cabin, hugging Emily with the joy of the rest of her life.

His soaked clothes were stained with a patch of sand from the beach.

Old Hand hurriedly went to close the door and hang the latch, and Lu Li asked Finn, "Where did you come from?"

"Mr. Exorcist agreed to let you in." Emily whispered to her husband.

Finn didn't hear it, his mind was completely imprisoned by the place where Lu Li's words were directed, and he whispered, "The port...is the port...the port..."

   "What happened to the port?"

Finn's fearful ravings made Lu Li realize that there might be something wrong with Port Rodster.

   "Mr. Exorcist... Finn."

The landlord said in a low voice at this time, and pointed at the wooden door: "Let's go to the room and talk..."

He was worried that something in the fog would break through the wooden door and rush in.

  …

The living room of the detective agency.

Finn and Emily are sitting on the sofa cuddling each other.

The other occupants were driven back by the landlord. For some reason, he chose to stay and leaned against the door furthest from the window.

Finn was much calmer than at the beginning, only his body was shaking slightly, whether it was because of the cold or fear.

In a chill, he slowly recounted what happened in the port.

Finn was the sailor of the "Conch Point," an ordinary small three-masted sailing ship.

She was lucky because the "Conch Point" sailing early in the morning avoided the port blocked by the epidemic. Unfortunately for her, the port was blocked due to the epidemic and she was unable to dock.

According to the arrangement of the Exorcist United Organization, the "Conch Point" can dock the ship at the port, or spend the night at anchor on the sea.

Either option is a little bad - the former may be in contact with a dreadful blight, the latter who knows what will happen to them when the weird fog hits.

So the captain of the "Conch Point" chose the ambiguous decision: to be close to the port, but not to call at the port.

After praying for a safe return home tomorrow morning, Finn joined the rest of the crew in a warehouse full of oil lamps and torches. Although the strong fishy smell made them almost lose their sense of smell, it was better than being on a dark deck.

After   , a strange fog came and enveloped Rodster Harbor and Belfast.

Then no one could have imagined that the disaster would come so quickly.

Simon, who was hiding by the porthole to spy on the port, ran to the crowd and said nervously that he saw a light in the port dimmed.

"We are at least 300 yards away from the port. It's still foggy. Can you see that far?"

A crew member said. Neither the captain nor the sailors believed it, or they didn't want to believe it, because the fog had just arrived.

  Everything happened too fast.

Simon was certain that he could not have read it wrong, and dragged the dubious first mate to the port location and told him: "I absolutely did not read wrong! You know...you know there is a workers' dormitory there, and we fought with Paul and the others there. The card, the lights went out just now!"

The chief mate stared out the porthole, and the fear that made everyone uneasy appeared on his face.

They understood that something really happened at the port.

The captain kept saying that we should be fine if we were some distance from the port, but it was more like convincing himself.

More sailors came to the porthole, the misty harbour, they could barely make out the outlines of the docked ships and the harbour, and the dim light.

The scene that made them terrified happened again. In less than a minute, it was like an infectious disease spreading. Next to the workers' wooden house that had been plunged into darkness before, another spot of light suddenly disappeared.

At this moment, the star-like harbour shrouded in a strange fog seemed to be missing a corner.

The cabin was surrounded by panic.

"We can't stay here any longer...have to find a way to get to shore."

The chief mate murmured and left the porthole, walked over to the captain and whispered something.

The sailors looked up at them. After more than ten seconds, the captain picked up the torch inserted in the gap of the plank and shouted to them: "Everyone go to the deck, lift anchor and leave the port!"

Although they knew that the deck was equally dangerous, if the danger spread on the port, they would all be buried in the dark.

Sailors flooded the deck with torches and oil lamps.

Finn followed and rushed out of the cabin. The scattered light spots on the deck gave him a sense of security that he was not alone, and ran under the mast to raise the sail.

He grabbed the rope and raised his sails, looking at the distant harbor from time to time, the darkness was faster than before, and Finn could vaguely hear the screams coming from the harbor, but it was only his own illusion. Because of the noise, it was impossible for a deck with people to run back and forth to hear the faint sound from so far away.

But it is an indisputable fact that the darkness of the port is spreading.

Halfway up the sails, a sailor on the deck passed Finn and shouted at him, "It's too late! We've got to find a way to get off the boat."

What?

The unresponsive Finn looked blankly and found that the small wooden boat on the fishing boat was being lifted by the sailors and hoisted into the sea-they wanted to leave in the small boat.

He turned to look at the bow again, the heavy anchor was still slowly being pulled up section by section.

It will take at least a few minutes or more to fully raise the anchor!

At that time, I didn’t know what horror the port would turn into.

The captain didn't want to leave "Conch Point", but "Conch Point" is not owned by sailors. They are just workers, there is no need to die for a fishing boat.

More and more sailors left their belongings and ran to the middle of the Conch Horn to take a boat. The captain naturally discovered this scene, but he was lifting anchor with the first and second mates and some loyal sailors, and had no time to leave.

After a brief hesitation, Finn gritted his teeth and dropped the rope, ignoring the falling sails and running towards the boat.

There were two    wooden boats, and a dozen sailors crowded on it, and then an accident happened, and the sailors fell into the sea with the wooden boat. A poor sailor fell right on the edge of the wooden boat on the waist, and Finn saw him sinking to the bottom motionless, bent like a shrimp. Several sailors with torches fell into the water and never surfaced again, as if they had melted into the dark waters that devoured everything.

What happened after    Finn was reluctant to express and vaguely mentioned it.

Finally, Finn with an oil lamp and two sailors rowed to the shore. When he stepped on the beach and couldn't help but look back, the Conch Point and the harbour became indistinguishable.

   It was dark and silent.

Finn was exhausted and terrified. After he finished speaking, he was helped by his wife Emily to leave the detective agency.

The landlord said good night flatteringly, and asked Lu Li to go to him if he needed help, then retreated to the corridor and closed the door.

The    detective agency returned to silence.

Anna emerged and stared at Lu Li who was thinking.

The bad news isn’t just Rodster Harbor itself.

The port of Rodster has suffered a change, which is likely to spread the controlled epidemic to Belfast.

and the destruction of the port—

"How do we get to the Lennon Islands." Anna asked.
