Bizarre Detective Agency

Chapter 54: Fifty-four. [Abandoned Madhouse] Incident resolved

  Chapter 54

"I'm a detective, and I was commissioned to investigate something."

Although the line of   exorcists is already in a semi-public state, it is not yet the mainstream that everyone knows. Most people don't know much about exorcists. They only know that if they encounter a supernatural incident, they can go to the detective agency to find a professional.

As for whether the police knew about this, it was beyond Lu Li's consideration.

The light of the torches dispels the darkness in the dull midnight.

From time to time a flash of lightning flashed through the gloomy clouds.

Two police carriages, one from the hospital parked in front of the mental hospital. The fence gate of the hospital was open, and the police officers were busy going back and forth. Medical staff in white clothes carried a body covered with white cloth from the hospital from time to time.

The situation is more serious than Lu Li and the police expected. There were not one, but four corpses, and they were only the results of the current preliminary search.

The four corpses had different degrees of death. The most recent one was the corpse on the hospital bed that Lu Li had seen. The oldest one had only a shriveled layer of skin attached to the bones. It was preliminarily judged to have been dead for more than three months.

The identity of the body is still being confirmed, and the police are matching the missing persons database. If the victim is a Belfast resident, it will not take long to find out the identity.

   Or not.

A police officer hurried out of the sick manor and brought the latest information: the face of the corpse was severely damaged, and there was no clothing or identification on the body. At the same time because the storage time is too long. Except for the most recent corpse, the chances of the remaining three being identified are slim. Only the time of death can be compared with the time of disappearance.

"You just said that the murderer named Richard has accomplices, are you sure?"

"Yes."

At the rear of the police station's carriage, Lu Li said to the two police officers who were recording the statement in front of him.

Lu Li leaned against the wall of the carriage, covered with a blanket. A senior police officer on the opposite side frowned.

Anna slipped back into the carriage because she was afraid of life, laying in front of the car window and looked pitifully here.

"Did the gang commit crimes... It's troublesome. It seems that we can only start with the suspect's family."

It has been forty minutes since the Luli alarm. At the 20th minute, the police car came, and Lu Li, who had already climbed back to the ground through the underground window, was waiting at the gate, telling the police all his experiences except the Fat Ghost.

The police officer put his hands on his hips and sighed as if he was getting old: "It's really been getting more and more restless recently. That incident just passed, and this kind of thing happened again... Don't remember this sentence."

The last sentence was to the little police officer who was recording.

Lu Li, who didn't know what "that matter" meant, was silent.

The sky began to fall and drizzle, and the torches and oil lamps were coated with a layer of mist.

The rest of the police officers were still searching the hospital. The medical staff from the hospital had nothing to do for the time being. A nurse walked over and asked, "Is anyone injured?"

The officer    pointed to Lu Li when he heard the words: "He's injured in the back of his head, please take care of it."

"Small problem, just go back and apply it." Lu Li waved his hand to refuse, the blood on the back of the brain had dried up, and the pain had eased.

Although with the beating of the heart, there will be a bulging feeling from time to time at the back of the head.

The nurse didn't say anything, looked at Lu Li a few more times and turned back to the carriage.

he is injured?

Hiding in the carriage not far away and peeking at Anna who was listening, she realized that, her big eyes turned to Lu Li.

The police officer shrugged and looked towards the hospital dormant in the night: "You are very lucky, you can escape under this circumstance and drive the murderer away. What do you want to investigate, we may be able to help."

The relationship between the police and the detective is a bit tangled. The detective is free in the gray area, doing illegal but legal activities. And they are well versed in the police's law of action, even if they touch the law, it is difficult to be found - but they can help the police in some cases and provide key clues.

So the two have always been in a detached relationship. Cooperate with each other and conflict with each other.

The Night's Watch and the Exorcist are to some extent similar to them.

   "No, I've found it."

Lu Li took out the patient's information found before the police arrived from his arms and displayed it so that the other party could read the writing on it clearly.

"Head! This guy has a gun!"

A nervous shout suddenly streaked across the night sky, attracting the attention of those around him.

The officer behind the officer who was in charge of recording pointed at Lu Li and yelled at Lu Li's waist, and at the same time he quickly raised his hand to release the baton from his waist. But because of nervousness, I couldn't get it down for a few seconds.

The police officer's eyes fell on it, his pupils shrank when he saw the silver rose reflecting in the firelight, and he hurriedly reached out to stop his subordinate: "Idiot, this is a psychic gun!"

He politely apologized to Lu Li: "I'm sorry, Your Excellency Exorcist, my subordinates have just joined and I don't know some rules."

"Don't be so polite." Lu Li nodded, put away the patient information, and covered the holster around his waist with a windbreaker.

He was indeed worried that the flintlock gun would be exposed and hide his identity, but it seemed that he didn't need it now.

Seeing that Lu Li did not have a seizure, the police officer breathed a sigh of relief and asked tentatively, "But since you are an exorcist, does that mean the situation is not what you said before?"

"Not all of them." Lu Li replied calmly, not panicking after being exposed.

He told the plot of the fat ghost again.

After listening to the police officer silently, he exhaled a turbid breath: "Is that so... Do you need us to contact the night watchman?"

"Frankly, I haven't had contact with the night watchman." Lu Li replied, recalling what Richard was doing, and reminded: "But I suggest that you better inform them."

"Understood."

It was determined that Lu Li was an exorcist and that the madhouse case was a supernatural incident, so the police officer knew that this matter was not something he could interfere with.

signaled to Lu Li that he was going to contact his superiors, and that Lu Li was ready to leave. The two parties returned to their respective carriages.

"Are you injured?" Anna leaned over, nervous.

"Um."

"Wait, I seem to have some medicine..."

Anna took this entrustment as a trip, and before she came out, she brought a backpack that Lu Li didn't know what was in it. She opened her backpack, rummaged through a small box of medical boxes, unfolded it, and pulled out a band-aid.

   "Where are the Band-Aid?"

Lu Li didn't want to refute her kindness, and replied calmly, "Put it where it won't get in the way."

"Oh!" Closing the medical case, putting it back in the backpack and pulling up the zipper, Anna stood up and approached Lu Li, putting the band-aid on... his forehead.

This band-aid in the drawer was painted with colors and patterns by Anna, who had nothing to do the other day: pink bow style.

Lu Li didn't say a word, got out of the carriage with a pink Band-Aid on his forehead, sat outside the curtain to drive the carriage, and slowly left in front of the gate.

At this moment, a carriage with the Belfast newspaper logo slowly approached from the end of the road and passed Lu Li's carriage.

However, the scene was almost over, and they didn't even eat hot shit.
