Bizarre Detective Agency

Chapter 666: Two hundred and forty-three. Hasty farewell

   Chapter 666

【The situation is getting worse day by day. 】

【I'm looking for a hiding place, but unfortunately the detective agency is empty, you and Mr. Lu Li are not here. 】

【There are not many supplies left, I plan to go to the back of the mountain, I hope there is more left in Watch Town. 】

【I will leave a mark on the window, if you come to me, there should be my second letter there. 】

The scribbled handwriting means that Aunt Mary was not calm when writing, and the surface of the envelope was stained with a lot of dust, which seemed to have been left for a while.

"She should be in the Lennon Islands." Lu Li frowned.

The Avitannis they were on had successfully arrived in the Lennon Islands a long time ago. There is no reason why Aunt Mary would still be on the Ellen Peninsula and leave a letter.

"Maybe something happened." Anna said, her red eyes fell to Lu Li: "Lu Li...I'm worried about Aunt Mary..."

"Let's go to Watch Town." Lu Li said.

Aunt Mary is either in Watchtown, or she leaves a mark there, it won't be too hard to find.

"Could it be a trap?" Remy asked thoughtfully.

An ordinary person walking around in the streets of a weird old city? This sounds a little weird.

"Perhaps this letter was in the mailbox before Belfast fell into ruins?"

   "Perhaps, but still going."

Whether it was a trap or not, Lu Li and Anna couldn't ignore it.

"When are you leaving?" Remy asked Lu Li who was wearing a coat.

Luli pulled out the drawer and brought the torch and the "lighthouse".

"Now."

  …

A gloomy sky is like smearing with a pencil, casting shadows.

South Belfast's twisting vortex still exists, making it even more deformed and vivid from above.

Looking at it for a long time, even if it has no weird power itself, will make the sanity value drop.

Anna brought Lu Li to the shore of Onyx Lake and stopped briefly at the Baron Manor.

The expanded cave and safe house can hold almost all the books in the library. They are still here, and Anna plans to take them to the sea cliffs when she returns.

But when Lu Li was about to leave the library, an empty jar rolled out from the corner behind the bookshelf.

"Who's there?" Anna drank coldly, while Lu Li stared with black eyes.

In the dark corner, a cringing figure slowly walked out.

   "Human?" Anna whispered.

It was a dirty woman with a hunched back and a blanket. A large piece of her lower lip was missing, and her sunken jaw looked like a monster.

"You...you are..." The air leaking question sounded, the woman lowered her head, not daring to look at Lu Li and the cloaked Anna.

"Same as you." Lu Li said.

The appearance of the same kind seemed to rekindle hope for the poor man, and he didn't even suspect that Lu Li was lying, so he moved forward and hugged Lu Li excitedly.

Lu Li thought that Anna would stop her, but the strange thing was that Anna did nothing and let the woman rush into his arms.

Her body and shoulders kept shaking, as if she was excited, or because of Anna's sudden cold breath.

Lu Li stepped back and left the woman's embrace, ignoring the stained and bloodstained clothes, pointing to his lower lip: "Your wound is open."

The wound on the mouth is destined to be difficult to heal. In fact, the woman's face is only pale because of ischemia, and she is lucky not to be infected.

She didn't care about the open wound, Lu Li frowned, opened the book at hand, tore off a few pages, and covered his lower lip at will.

"Follow me to the second floor." Lu Li said.

The incident of   The Shadow of Lifting the Line added an infirmary on the second floor of the manor, where there should be clean gauze and alcohol.

Irene does still keep the infirmary. There is enough gauze, and there is a small half bottle of alcohol left.

Lu Li first disinfected the woman's wound, and then wrapped the gauze.

Although the wound will collapse if you move too much or eat, but at least you don’t have to worry about bacterial infection.

After the    dressing, the woman talked about her experience.

Her name is Celica Dallaire, a Belfast survivor. Encountered several waves of survivors but was forced to leave due to many accidents, the lost lower lip was caused by a survivor.

She hid in the manor a few days ago until Lu Li appeared.

"Why don't you leave Belfast." Lu Li looked around the medical room, there are many things here that can be taken back to Wang Hai Cliff.

Celica Dallaire's voice trembled: "I heard that other places are even worse, Shymfast is full of monsters, and broadcasts are released to deceive the survivors that it is safe there, to lure people to go there..."

"I don't know where you got the news." Lu Li replied to her. "But there are no monsters in Shymfast, it's a place where people gather."

"Really……"

"Um."

Lu Li retracted his gaze and landed on Celica Dallaire: "We're going to Watch Town, and we may pass through Simfast. You can go alone, or follow us."

"...Thank you, I won't hold you back."

Next, Lu Li introduced Anna's identity to Celica Dallaire. After learning that Anna was a wraith, she just shivered and didn't show any more fear.

   She is surprisingly tough.

Bringing Celica Dallaire and a roll of gauze, Lu Li and Anna left the manor and arrived at Watching Town before dark.

  …

   squeak - squeak -

The rusty plaque at the entrance of the tavern was swayed by the wind.

Shouwang Town is desolate and dilapidated. There have been many survivors who have raided here, leaving a mess.

Fortunately they are not interested in destruction, only some wooden doors and windows are broken open.

The cold wind was blowing, and the three of Lu Li were walking on the empty street, and soon found the mark made by the oil pen on the window of the second floor of a hotel.

This symbol Lu Li has seen in Mrs. An Lei Art Gallery.

"That was the symbol of our family once..." Anna said.

Lu Li came to the front of the hotel and pushed open the hidden door.

The dust rustled down, the floating dust wandered around under the light of the oil lamp, and the creaking sound of the wooden floor disturbed the silence of the hall. But when the remnants of the footsteps dissipated, they came again.

"Your heartbeat is fast." Lu Li tilted his head slightly.

In the silent hall, Celica Dallaire's heartbeat was like the dull sound of drums in the distance.

   "Sorry, I'm still excited..."

Celica Dallaire lowered her head, her eyes hidden by the dirty hair tangled like braids.

Lu Li removed his black eyes, stepped on the wooden ladder to the second floor, and found a room with a marked window.

The    Inn, like most of the town's houses, was looted by the survivors with little to no value left. If it weren't for the wood being everywhere and too heavy, they would have taken down the bed planks and cabinets.

But Aunt Mary's letter was unexpectedly not lost - it was placed on the window sill, and you could see it at a glance when you walked into the guest room without searching.

The    letter was covered with dust, the invisible hand picked it up, shook off the dust and floated towards Lu Li.

Anna took the oil lamp in Lu Li's hand and silently watched the envelope being opened.
