Chapter 687: 264. The young exorcist stopped by frustration

   Chapter 687

   A wooden boat ran aground.

  Wowla-wowla-

The tide washed the pebble beach with the sound of a beast licking water.

Behind the hill not far away, several figures emerged.

"There is someone in the boat!" exclaimed.

Abi Lodge scolded in a low voice, "Fool, how could anyone be alive. That's a monster, we should turn our heads back now."

"You're an idiot." Giles reluctantly retorted: "That's where the water is drawn, and you want everyone in the town to die of thirst? That monster doesn't move, we should take the opportunity to destroy it."

Abi Lodge did not quarrel with Giles, who was like a child, and looked at the woman who had never spoken: "Elder sister, shall we go back and ask the townspeople to come and help?"

   "Maybe it's too late."

The brown ponytail was tied up, and a centipede-like scar slanted from the corner of her brow to the corner of her mouth. The strong woman grabbed her spear and turned over the hill. She approached the pebble beach as swiftly and silently as a cheetah, until the wooden boat came into the range of her spear throwing.

Abi Lodge and Giles followed, raising their spears, ready to follow the eldest sister to throw.

But after waiting for a few seconds, the eldest sister dropped her arm instead: "Put down the spear, it seems to be a person."

   "Possibly a human-like monster."

Giles reminded the eldest sister and winked at Abi Lodge.

They bicker every day, but never diminish their tacit understanding. Abi Lodge nodded lightly and took a few steps forward to block the eldest sister.

"Gills, have you forgotten that you were still bedwetting at the age of eight?" The eldest sister sneered: "I'm not confused by the weirdness, get out of the way."

"Do you remember that incident three years ago?" Giles asked, watching her.

"How dare you mention it?" The elder sister's tone became cold, and her bronze arm holding the spear showed blue veins.

Giles breathed a sigh of relief, and in front of him was their eldest sister.

"We're just worried about you being affected by the weirdness." Abiluoqi sneered and pushed away, afraid that the eldest sister could not control her emotions and beat them.

"You can all stay awake, can I?" The centipede on her face became hideous, and the eldest sister showed a not-so-friendly smile.

"Of course..." Giles also smiled and pushed away.

The three of them approached the stranded wooden boat. As the elder sister said, there was a figure curled up at the bottom of the boat, wearing a trench coat and shirt that only people in big cities have.

"His hair is black..." Giles clenched his spear subconsciously.

Sister    was looking at the calm and handsome face and said, "He may be a survivor. It's getting dark, we have to take him back."

Abi Lodge had no objection, Giles felt that something was wrong, but the outline of the chest under the man's shirt was rising and falling, and he was indeed a human being.

Worried that the First Death Demon would linger on the shore, the three dragged the wooden boat away from Guangjing Lake, and then the eldest sister put the unconscious man on her shoulders like carrying cargo.

"What's this?" Abi Lodge picked up the holster that slipped from the man's waist and fell into the cobblestone.

"I know it! The people in the big towns call it a musket. It's more powerful than a bow," Giles cried, teaching Abilorch to open the holster and reach for the psychic gun.

Snapped--

Big sister patted his wrist and took the holster: "Don't mess with other people's things."

   "More powerful than a bow?"

Abi Lodge touched the longbow on his back.

Helen Town is a town with no news, and most of the young people here have never left the town.

"That's what those who came back said anyway." Giles was also hesitant.

He thought the musket would be a weapon about the size of a longbow, but it looked so small...

"Okay, the old man is still in town waiting for us to go back." The elder sister interrupted their discussion. "Pick up my spear."

   "You pick it up."

   "Don't you pick it up."

"I picked it up last time."

Abi Lodge and Giles defended a few more words, and finally Abi Lodge took the eldest sister's spear and walked out of the pebble beach back to the town a few miles away.

  Helen Town.

Like most villages and towns in the Badlands, remote and poor.

But because of Guangjing Lake, Helen Town and the surrounding villages and towns are slightly better than many inland villages and towns. Although there are not as many fish in the lake as in the sea, it is enough to feed a small town with a population of only a few hundred.

Until the first death demons occupied the lake.

Helen Township began to face the plight of most inland villages and towns: lack of food.

They've been lingering on: the first dead are rarely seen during the day, and as long as they don't enter the middle of the Lake of Light, they usually won't be attacked.

But what happened a few hours ago made nearby residents start to panic, worried that the rioting first-dead demons would cut off their last source of food.

They had no choice but to leave their hometown for the coast.

So when the three men who went to explore the lake came back carrying the unconscious man and said he was a survivor found on the boat, the old town mayor thought he might know something.

"Wait until he wakes up. Elena, take the survivor to Aunt Susan's house. She used to live in a big city and knew how to approach Gentiles."

Elena nodded, and brought Abilene and Giles to Aunt Susan's second-story wooden house.

"Little Elena, and little Rocky and little Giles, why are you here - put him down... What is a survivor? There's an empty bedroom on the second floor."

After a while of busyness, the unconscious man was put on the single bed, took off his shoes, socks and coat, and covered with a clean quilt.

   "Is he hurt?"

Before covering up the quilt, Abi Lodge saw the blood on the man's shirt.

"It's someone else's, didn't you see a lot of blood on that boat." Giles said contemptuously.

"Of course I did! I'm just worried that he's injured too." Abbey Roach loudly defended.

Elena frowned and bluntly drove the two who were bickering: "You two shut up and get out."

Abi Lodge and Giles shrank their necks, and obediently went downstairs to the crowded but warm living room.

Aunt Susan is lighting the fireplace.

The two of them huddled together and whispered.

"Will the eldest sister like that guy?"

   "Which one?"

   "We rescued it."

"Don't think about it, he's not big at all, big sister only likes men who are like beasts."

"But it's not like you didn't see his face...Compared to him, that guy named Mike is like a broken wine bottle glass in a pile of shit."

"I agree with the second half of the sentence, but isn't the eldest sister so superficial that she likes that man just because of her looks?"

"What does it mean to be superficial... Forget it. Didn't you see how... gentle the eldest sister was when she took off his clothes and shoes?" "And I dare say this is the first time she has served someone."

After a brief silence, Abiluoqi asked again, "You said if they were together, would the child take the eldest sister's surname or the man's surname?"

"Shouldn't it be better to imagine their children's hair color than this?"

"It should be black... The eldest sister has brown hair."

   at this moment.

In the bedroom on the second floor, Lu Li woke up slowly.
