Chapter 711: 2. Conversation by the fire

Chapter 711 II. Conversation by the fire

   Dreams are chaotic and disordered.

The towering World Ridge Mountains are in front of the road, and at the foot of the cold mountains, Lu Li silently moves forward.

He is getting closer and closer to the snow mountain, but the temperature is getting warmer.

There were figures on both sides of the road, those who had been killed by Anna. They angrily accused Lu Li who passed by.

"You made her become like this!"

   "You are a sinner!"

   "You killed us!"

   "Why not kill her!"

Every figure was accusing Lu Li, and Lu Li passed them silently without saying a word.

He was getting closer and closer to the World Ridgeback Mountains, but the snow-like fog made the mountains hazy and no longer clear. In front of the road, Anna, holding a straw cat, quietly waited for Lu Li. After approaching, her silhouette changed into a figure in a black robe.

"Remember what I said?" Friday's reminder came from the black robe. "Don't, pry, what's in the black robe."

"Please do not."

   Lu Li slowly woke up.

The fire in front of him was burning and crackling.

The fire brings warmth and fully exposes the narrowness of the holes in the rock formations.

Friday across from the fire holding a kraft paper bag and eating something.

The kraft paper bag contains strange objects that Lu Li cannot understand: inside it are many unborn embryos, which have been transformed by an unimaginable force, faded from their original appearance, and presented a twisted shape wrapped in uneven black matter.

The ominous black solid, once it feels the warmth of life, will turn into pitch-black slime, wrapping it layer by layer and absorbing every power. But in the five senses and even the mysterious six senses, it has a very beautiful atmosphere, which lures countless human beings who are not determined to be one with it.

Each embryo is blasphemously seducing Lu Li, but is resisted by reason to disgusting blasphemy.

Friday, he soon found that Lu Li woke up and finished his meal as fast as he was afraid of being snatched away.

Lu Li was indifferent, even if he ate a wailing soul on Friday, he wouldn't say anything.

"Where did the fire come from?"

Lu Li's black eyes reflected the burning fire.

The ashes had accumulated several centimeters thick, indicating that it was ignited shortly after Lu Li fell asleep.

The warmth in sleep comes from this. Without it, Luli would be as cold as a rock, or would be seriously ill.

"Anything may be brought over by the dark river."

said, Friday reached out and stirred in the dark river, grabbed a branch and threw it to the fire to dry it.

Like I said before, I wouldn't be surprised even if I fished out the evil spirit body Lu Li in the dark river on Friday.

Although the content of the dream is bad and chaotic, Lu Li's state after rest is much better than when he woke up for the first time.

   "How long have I slept."

Rubbing wet hands on dry rocks by the fire on Friday: "You can ask me this question when I get the alarm clock."

   "About how long."

"Maybe six months or a year," said Friday casually.

In the underground rock formations that are tens of meters or hundreds of meters deep, the more the words spoken by the mysterious Friday deviate from common sense, the more likely they are true——

It wasn't until Lu Li reached out and touched his chest, and the wound didn't change from the last time he woke up, that it was revealed that this was another Friday's perfunctory.

After the sleepiness subsided, Lu Li began to check what was left on his body.

Straw dolls and Doomsday pawns are still in the trouser pockets.

The former protects him from dying in silence when he is in a coma, and the latter strengthens his physique from dying from wounds and cold.

All four psychic guns were lost, the short knife was still there, and the evil spirit broadcast was kept in the inner pocket of the coat, but it might not be able to be used after being soaked in water, and was placed by Lu Li by the fire to dry.

The only surviving stone badge was lying in the debris of his companions. When Lu Li took it out, he looked over on Friday and said that there is no businessman here.

Lu Li didn't check whether Friday was right or wrong, and put away the stone badge.

Interestingly, the currency for payment in the fog is still there - it became part of the bandage in the shirt pocket and was wrapped around Lu Li's chest.

Lu Li took it out and put it in his trouser pocket, then unwrapped the bandage in circles, but was stopped by Friday when there was only one last circle left.

"If I were you, I wouldn't look at the wound after being mortally wounded." Friday's words were incomprehensible and shattered common sense. "You will die when you see the wound."

Lu Li stopped and wrapped the bandage again.

He was thinking about what Friday really meant.

Is it a simple "the exposed wound will make you infected and die" or the ideal "you should have died but you didn't die because you didn't see the wound".

"Don't want to die?" Friday's tone was teasing.

Lu Li didn't answer because his stomach made a "gurgling" sound.

"hungry?"

"fine."

   Hunger is not strong.

The increase in the Doomsday book is clearly not about science. It can double Lu Li's humanity and sanity, as well as double Lu Li's endurance.

The    stomach growl is more like a reminder to Lu Li that he hasn't eaten for a long time.

"Food should be prepared in advance."

Friday said, he sat on the shore, stretched his arms into the rushing water, and asked Lu Li, "Is there anything you don't like to eat?"

Her tone was as if she was sitting in a restaurant, holding a menu and asking Lu Li across the table.

"No." Lu Li replied, remembering something and adding, "Normal human food."

Friday continued to fish, as if groping from a long river called time.

At some point, a palm-length cod was caught on Friday and thrown ashore. It was dead, fish eyes staring blankly at the rock face.

"A sea fish." Lu Li said.

"So it drowned," said Friday nonchalantly.

One fish is obviously not enough for the two of them, not even enough for one person. On Friday, he continued to fish in the dark river, while Lu Li used a knife to open the belly of the fish to take out the internal organs. He picked out the right ones from the small pile of twigs by the fire, skewered them on a cod rack, and baked them on the fire.

The black-spotted fish skin is gradually ripening.

   "Give you this."

A small glass bottle of modern creation was thrown at Lu Li. Lu Li took it, and it contained crystal grains of salt.

"This is what I took with me."

  Friday answered Lu Li's gaze.

Anyway, Lu Li didn't see whether Friday was the salt shaker he took out of his arms or from the dark river.

Soon, another sea fish was thrown over on Friday, this time a palm-sized tuna.

"Do you like sea fish?" Lu Li asked.

"Marine fish don't have that many annoying bones," said Friday. "And I said it doesn't count. Anything can be brought over by the dark river, right?"

In the face of the lies that could be pierced at any time, they kept tacit understanding of each other in the hollow of the rock formations.

Luli grilled fish and caught fish on Friday. Time flows in this calm.

When the    fish was half cooked, Lu Li asked, "How do we get out of here."

"Isn't it bad to stay here?"

   Friday rhetorically.

"Maybe we can outlive the people above."
