Chapter 93: 9. Brian, or Hall

Chapter 93 Nine. Brian, or Hall

Conversation came from the kitchen adjacent to the living room, and a woman came out quietly, looked at Lu Li a few times, and retreated behind the door.

After a while, Brian walked out, the apron around his waist was gone, he said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I just asked my wife to take care of him."

"It's fine." Lu Li answered briefly.

"Is there anything wrong with this police officer?"

"About your disappearance before." Lu Li walked into the living room and sat down at the dining table without any notice. "Do you remember any details?"

According to Lu Li's request, Anna left Lu Li's side and floated into the kitchen.

Brian took some water with a wooden bowl, handed it to the dining table in front of Lu Li, and said, "This... I have already told you everything I remembered when you came last time, but I really can't remember what else."

His black eyes glanced at the shaking water glass, and Lu Li continued to ask, "Have you paid attention to other details, such as the date and time of that day."

Anna floated back from the kitchen and went into the bedroom again.

Brian picked up the empty wooden bowl again, poured himself a glass of water, drank it all and said with a smile, "No, but my memory is absolutely fine. Thank you for your concern, I'm really fine."

Lu Li asked a few questions without a trace, and after Anna came out and whispered in his ear that nothing was found, he got up and prepared to leave.

Brian brought him to the door. The moment he stepped out of the door, Lu Li suddenly turned his head and said a name.

   "O'Connor."

Brian was obviously taken aback for a moment, and his face became suspicious: "What did you say?"

"nothing."

Lu Li's expression was calm and could not see anything else, he turned and walked out of the house.

   The door closed behind him.

Sitting in the carriage on Foreign Minister Street, Anna couldn't hold back her curiosity. She emerged and asked, "Isn't this guy O'Connor?"

The carriage was empty, and Jojo, who brought Anna over, was caught by another carriage and sent back to Belfast by Lu Li.

"Yeah." Lu Li drove the carriage and slowly left Brian's residence.

Anna was a little discouraged, and snuggled into the car listlessly: "We still got the wrong one..."

"No mistake." Lu Li said without turning his head.

"What? You didn't say he wasn't..."

The    carriage stopped again, keeping a distance of several dozen meters from Brian's residence.

From here you can see the entrance of the house.

   "He's Hall."

  Anna was stunned: "Eh...?"

"Remember when you went to the kitchen and bedroom?" The rain became a little heavy, and Lu Li got into the carriage to ensure that he would not be noticed by nearby residents. "He's been switching directions to avoid exposing himself behind you in front of you. Wherever you go, he keeps his side or front angle towards you."

Ana was somewhat enlightened and asked tentatively, "You mean he..."

   "Well, he can see you."

"Is this kind of reason far-fetched?" Anna felt that this could not be used as evidence.

"If I put it another way, you wouldn't think so." Lu Li tilted his head to look at the hazy street with few pedestrians, and said indifferently: "You are the murderer. One day the police came to ask you something, and one of the police officers came to ask you something. Go search the house. And in order to avoid being overwhelmed suddenly, you use some small gestures to keep your back to the police officer unobtrusively. For example, get a glass of water for the police officer, then get yourself a glass and drink it... You will be giving Did the guest take another sip after pouring the water?"

"There is indeed a problem with that..." Anna realized the problem later. "Then what you meant by calling him last..."

Although Ana's reaction became slower after being dead for a while, she wasn't stupid. What she understood: "Are you trying to make sure he's O'Connor or Hall?!"

   "Yeah." Lu Li nodded lightly.

When he called out his name, he was paying attention to Brian's eyes. Those eyes contracted subconsciously after the questioning, and then gradually relaxed with a sense of relief.

"Is this the world of adults..."

Anna muttered to herself, sinking into the guilt of being too low-IQ.

But she is similar to Oliver, her emotions come and go quickly, and she asked curiously after a while: "Then why don't we do it when we're inside?"

"The victim's wife is inside. She is already miserable, and we have no reason to exacerbate her misery."

   "So we now..."

"Wait for him to come out, my appearance will let him find Richard." Lu Li leaned into the carriage and closed his eyes. "You help me pay attention."

Anna nodded with some understanding and some not understanding.

One person and one ghost started a long wait.

The rain was still dripping, not increasing or decreasing.

Time passed, and at three o'clock in the afternoon, there was finally some movement in front of Brian's house.

   "He came out!"

Anna, who was watching the target while enjoying the street view, exclaimed.

Lu Li opened his black eyes, sat up and looked out the window.

The sky was bleak, and a figure walked out of Brian's house in a cloudy and rainy time.

The    figure was wearing a woolen coat and a gray top hat covered half of his face, turned and walked towards the street opposite the carriage.

Lu Li recognized that the figure was Brian from the figure.

Lu Li got out of the carriage, drove the carriage, turned around and followed behind Brian.

The light rain brought some advantages to Lu Li. The sound of falling rain drowned out the sound of the carriage driving dozens of paces away.

But Brian still seemed to notice something, he tilted his head slightly, then pressed the brim of his hat, and stepped into a dark and narrow alley beside the street.

The carriage stopped in front of the alley, and the wide body covered the exit of the alley.

It's a dead end, and at the end of the alley is a wall, and Brian is stuck in the box.

Lu Li opened his umbrella, stepped out of the carriage, stood at the entrance of the alley, and looked at Brian who slowly turned around.

Bryan, or rather, the smile on Hall's face faded. He took off all the disguise, and the honest and honest picture became a bit sinister.

He curled his lips and said lightly: "No matter who you are, why is there a ghost following you, and what do you know from Richard... I am alive now. Whether you admit it or not, I'm Brian, and I have all his memories. What do you want to do to a commoner?"

People who can't wait to tell all the secrets as soon as they meet are generally not too smart.

Of course, it may also be fearless.

Hall spread his arms and slowly walked towards Lu Li: "We don't need to have a conflict. I mean, you see, I just want to be a normal person, I'm just a normal person, you can let me go."

Lu Li put his palm behind his waist, and Hall, who noticed his movements, stopped and continued to maintain that uncomfortable cold smile.

"You're not a police officer, are you? Let me guess... Richard was forced to escape from the hut the other day, and Ulysses didn't get a new body either. Did you do it?"

It seems he is the latter.
