Chapter 334 - Heart

Chapter 334: Heart

2nd January, Year 6406, the Second Arcane Era.

On this day, the construction process of the Magic Tower was finally over!

Oswald (The Holem's Crown) also completely created the Tower Core, officially named the Magic Tower, and announced it to the world as the 'Rebirth Tower'!

Not only that, but he even created a Rank-6 Defensive Spell array on the Tower's surface and strengthened the Tower's defense.

Although five years had passed, nothing changed much except for the appearance of another 800 meters tall Magic Tower.

It was a cylindrical-shaped magic tower with 5-layers!

The outer surface was pained in golden color and appeared domineering.

There was even a golden dragon symbol that appeared on the top layer!

Although Oswald hadn't activated the Tower Core, all the Rank-4 Mages sensed some strange invisible power encircled the Tower and protecting it!

They realized that the Rebirth Tower was far advanced and superior to their own Iron Tower with a simple look!

But what can they do?

They could only grit their teeth in envy and stay as where they were.

The second thing was about discrimination. In truth, it hadn't subdued at all.

Ruler Caste people always showed superiority and suppressed the subordinates with brute force.

But Rhea had already taken strict measures to reduce it and even introduced a 'Casteless Society' scheme.

Moreover, she completely abolished slavery in the Kingdom, removed many customary laws, and even recreated new rules.

As for her progression in strength, nothing much changed.

She was still a Rank-3 Mystic.

The same goes for Noel.

The only one who progressed a little was Jessie.

She already ranked up her [Blood Manipulator] class and became a Rank-3 [Scarlet Knight] Mystic.

And, her 'Silent Nightmares' organization had started to take root in all parts of the Kingdom.

She created branch offices in all the towns and cities of the Iron Kingdom and formed a huge information network.

But there was still something that troubled all three of them.

It was about Titus's future.

They even talked with their Teacher, but nothing worked.

"It was his decision." That's what he told them.

Currently, Titus and Daisy were planning on holding a marriage ceremony through official means by the end of this year.

Even Jessie gave up on persuading his younger brother and approved their relationship.

Other than this complicated problem, the other three didn't slack off a bit and focused their full attention on improving their strength.

But none dared to advance to Rank-4.

Because they already knew that they hadn't reached the bottleneck yet!

Old Mansion, Rodsley Street, Nobles' Borough.

It was around 11 P.M.

At that moment, Edith sat on a Lawson Sofa that was placed on the mansion's terrace and held a golden-covered book in her hand.

During the five years, she had seen more than one million future visions and gathered nine mysterious code letters from Charles's future self!

'Not enough clues. One more time.' She picked the golden quill from the nearby glass table, dipped the brush into the inkbottle, and started writing on the mysterious blank page.

Once she was done, she recited a short chant and activated the artifact.

The next instant, her eyes turned white, and she entered a strange half-conscious state.

Simultaneously, she tried to concentrate on a particular future but sensed a familiar mysterious force was obstructing her from seeing it.

But before the mysterious force could completely block her, an image appeared in front of her eyes.

Unlike the other times, this one was completely different.

It was an image of a Red Human!

He appeared to be around 10 to 12 years old, had crimson hair, white eyes, reddish skin, an oblong face, and looked very thin.

The image remained in Edith's mind for a moment and soon disappeared like a fog.

'Red Human... What is his connection with the other clues I gathered during the past few years?' She furrowed her brows and turned her gaze towards the blank page.

A strange set of symbols appeared on it.

'— • • .' A frown appeared on her forehead.

If it were before, she would've used the 'Morse Code' method and deciphered it.

Unfortunately, Charles erased all her memories about the 'Morse Code' before going to the Fire Elemental Plane.

'But I think these clues will be enough. If I'm not wrong, we don't have much time.' Even she felt a sense of urgency appeared in her mind.

'It's been five years since my main body come to Edhen. I wonder how he is progressing.' Although she knew that Charles hadn't ranked up yet, she still wasn't sure about his progress in strength.

She then let out a deep sigh, stored the Books of Secrets, golden quill, and inkbottle into her space ring, and stood up.

Then, she moved towards the edge of the terrace and looked at the tall Tower on the eastern side.

'Rebirth Tower, huh.' She stared at the golden Tower for a few seconds and soon retracted her gaze.

Then, she moved towards the straight staircase and went downstairs.

After a few minutes of walking, she reached the ground floor and arrived at the iron shutter.

Then, she opened the shutter and walked in.

"It's rare to see you coming here. Is it time?" An old man's voice came from the underground basement as she stepped on the stairs.

"Yes. I'm going to meet him." While speaking, she reached the rough floor and started walking towards the nearby wall.

At that moment, Oswald sat on the floor in a crossed-legged position and seemed to be meditating.

Without wasting any time, she arrived in front of the concrete wall, zeroed her focus on the emerald-green leaf, and started to chant in English.

A few moments later, her figure began to distort and soon disappeared from there!

...

Savage Forest, Twilight Land, Fire Elemental Plane.

A human sat inside a dark, gloomy underground cave and seemed to be in a meditative state.

At that moment, the space behind him started to distort and let out strange elemental fluctuations.

The next second, a black-haired woman in her late twenties appeared in the dark cave and looked around.

"You came earlier than I expected." Charles opened his eyes as he conjured four balls of fire, sent them to different areas, and lit the installed fire torches.

Then, he stood up from the rocky floor and shifted his attention towards Edith.

"Did you get the clues?" He asked.

Meanwhile, Edith nodded, linked her connection with Charles's Inner World, and sent all the information.

She also didn't forget to include the final image of a Red Human kid.

On the other hand, Charles closed his eyes and started deciphering the Morse Codes.

'• • • • → H, • → E, • — → A, • — • → R, — →  T... Heart?' He tilted his head in confusion.

He then shifted his attention towards the other clues and started deciphering them.

'— • • •→ B, • — • • → L, • • → I, — • → N, — • • → D... Blind?' He frowned.
