590 Blood Throne

Chapter 590: Blood Throne

Herman Mansion house, 34C White Street, Fourth District, Miracle City.

A few minutes ago,

When Jessie saw the appearance of three ominous red moons, she knew that this whole matter must have something to do with her Syreni Class and felt a strange sense of attraction towards the northern direction.

'That's where the Northern Graveyard is located. Moreover, I feel something is calling me.' After hesitating, she quietly jumped from the balcony and soon landed in the front yard.

After that, she looked up at the reddish sky and frowned.

Unlike a while ago, multiple figures used flight spells and moved here and there. Also, Jessie sensed many people in black cloaks were causing chaos in various places.

'What's surprising is that even the movement array system seems blocked already.'

"Isabella, come out."

Just as she spoke, her own shadow started to twist and form into an appearance of a shadowy hooded figure.

A second later, the shadowy figure removed the hood and looked at Jessie.

The shadowy figure's lean face was shrouded in darkness, lending an air of mystery to her appearance. Her short black hair framed her face, falling just above her shoulders, with an almost ethereal quality as if it absorbs light rather than reflecting it. The strands of hair had an inky darkness that seamlessly blended with the shadows surrounding her.

Her deep-set brown eyes were captivating, radiating an intensity that pierced through the darkness. They hold profound wisdom as if they have witnessed ages beyond measure. Her skin appeared to absorb light rather than reflect it, imbued with velvety darkness that seemed to merge effortlessly with the surrounding shadows. It was like she was an extension of the essence of darkness itself, effortlessly traversing the boundaries between realms.

"The outside appears more chaotic today. What is happening?" She asked in a rough voice.

"I have a feeling something big is going to happen. So, I want you to infiltrate the Airport and control an airship. This city is not safe anymore."

"We are leaving the city?" If it were before, Isabella wouldn't have even dreamed of leaving using forceful means.

But as she looked up at the crimson sky and all the mystics, she knew everything had changed already.

A second later, she nodded and slowly merged with Jessie's shadow.

On the other hand, Jessie also touched her bracelet and activated a spell called [Frost Wings].

A moment later, two snowy wings appeared behind her and flapped independently.

With a swift motion, she took flight, soaring through the sky with remarkable speed towards the northern graveyard.

Within minutes, she reached her destination and descended gracefully.

Contrary to before, the vicinity was now drenched in blood and littered with lifeless bodies. Though a few aerial battles still raged at many places, Jessie paid them no heed as she silently walked toward the bone throne.

An uncanny sense of familiarity and reverence washed over Jessie's mind when her gaze settled upon the blood throne.

At that moment, she felt this throne was made for her!

But before being captivated by that strange feeling, she cast [Conscious Control] skill on her consciousness and became clear-headed.

'That was dangerous. This strange throne actually managed to control my inner emotions. Now that I think about it, this throne looks similar to the throne in my Inner World. No doubt about it. I didn't get my first class gem due to mere coincidence.' Her expression turned grim as she slowly stepped foot on the ground.

Although a few people noticed her arrival, no one paid any attention to her.

In the meantime, Jessie quietly walked towards the blood throne and looked at it with a hint of wariness.

'Although I don't know who created this throne, I'm sure this thing is the main reason for the appearance of blood moons.'

As she was lost in thought, her attention was abruptly drawn to the appearance of three new entities above, causing her to cast her eyes upward toward the crimson sky.

'Oh no! Someone is falling!' Although she didn't know who it was, she instinctively knew that person was the one who made this throne.

Without delay, she cast her the [Frost Wings] spell and leaped into the sky.

Yet, in an instant, an unseen force enveloped her body, rendering her motionless as it froze her ascent.

...

A while ago,

Amidst a desolate land where darkness reigned and bones littered the ground, two shadowy figures engaged in a fierce battle in the sky that shook the very foundations of their bleak surroundings. High above them, the crimson sky looms ominously as if eager to witness the outcome of the conflict below.

A relentless downpour of blood rain pours from the sky, drenching everything in a gruesome red hue and adding to the sense of foreboding. Every blow exchanged between the two powerhouses created a shockwave rippled through the landscape, unsettling the already disturbed bones beneath their feet.

It was a place of terror, the domain of blood. At that moment, Asher's presence loomed over the battleground like a vengeful deity, driving Demigod Rafael to fight with a ferocity that suggested his very life was at stake.

"Cease this recklessness, Asher! We need not continue this battle," Rafael uttered between breaths, his voice heavy with gloom. His formal white attire was now drenched in the blood-red rain, and a deep wound appeared in his left abdomen.

Meanwhile, Asher hovered ten meters away from Rafael and looked conflicted.

What was truly astonishing, however, was that not a single scratch or wound marred her body.

Noticing her doubtful gaze, Rafael let out a deep breath and continued.

"I know you are angry at me for abandoning our people, but I don't have any other choice."

While speaking, Asher sensed a sudden vibration coming from the sky and backed away instinctively.

'Someone is trying to enter my domain forcefully? Impossible.' Asher glared at the sky and activated her active skill.

'Siren Eyes.'

Her eyes turned a deep crimson moment later, showing her a sense of premonition.

Simultaneously, she used her wisdom power and started looking for a foreign power in her domain.

The next instant, she sensed a strange dark shadow manifesting behind Rafael and squinted her eyes.

In the meantime, a grey-haired old man appeared behind Rafael and locked the surrounding space first.

The man appeared 80 years old, with deeply lined wrinkles etched into every inch of his face. A long beard, similarly aged and grizzled, hung down from his chin in a wild tangle of grey and white hair. His eyes were dark and pebble-like and, despite their age, seemed to possess deep wisdom and otherworldly quality.

The man wore a simple, flowing white robe reminiscent of the attire worn by ancient wizards in stories and legends. The fabric was soft and light but looked sturdy enough to have been worn on many adventures. At his side, he held a mage's staff adorned with a large, glittering purple crystal. The crystal seemed to glow with soft, pulsing light, giving off an eerie aura of destruction and power.

Rafael also used his [wisdom eyes] skill and soon recognized the figure.

"Miguel! Where is Emerson?" He asked in a rough voice.

Upon hearing those words, Demigod Miguel snorted coldly and laughed.

"Haha, you thought that brat would be a match for me?"

Simultaneously, he raised his wooden mage staff and muttered.

"Void Strike."

A moment later, the unique purplish crystal crumbled into tiny particles and formed a ray of dark light.

Even though it was only a mere light ray, Rafael and even Asher felt threatened deeply.

Strangely, Demigod Rafael's eyes shone in bluish light, releasing a unique, mysterious power in all directions.

When the ray touched Rafael's chest, his figure suddenly turned blurry and was replaced with Asher's!

Miguel was startled by the sudden change and backed away while clicking his tongue.

"Tsk, I didn't expect my sneak attack to be failed. But why did you sacrifice yourself for that selfish man?" Miguel asked with a frown.

But at that moment, a look of shock and disbelief appeared on Asher's face.

Only then did Miguel realize that Rafael used her as a meat shield!

A fist-sized hole appeared in her heart, and a strange black cloud started devouring her flesh, blood, and soul!

Although Asher tried her best to stop the strange power's invasion, it was futile.

Instantly, she knew it would be impossible to save herself from this situation and felt an uncontrollable sense of loss and emptiness.

Slowly, she turned her gaze towards Rafael and asked in a pained voice.

"W-Why?" Although she hated him to the core, she never really used any deadly skill on Rafael and battled him indecisively all this time.

In terms of battle power, she had the upper hand all this time but failed to kill or even subdue him due to her weak mind.

Meanwhile, Demigod Rafael heaved a deep sigh and shook his head.

"You are still living in the past, Asher. It's better for you to die now." His voice appeared cold and emotionless, causing a stabbing pain in Asher's heart.

"F*ck!" She couldn't help but curse at herself for being too naive and slowly descended from the sky.

At the same time, her blood domain started to disappear, slowly allowing them to return to Miracle City.

As Rafael and Miguel were about to engage in battle, a strange invisible force suddenly enveloped them and stopped their movements.

Although they could think clearly, both felt a strong invisible force that stopped their bodies from moving even an inch.
