592 First Disaster

Chapter 592: First Disaster

As the golden rays of light descended upon the city, an eerie silence fell over the once-bustling streets. People stopped in their tracks; their gazes fixated on the ominous glow. Anxiety and fear filled the air as they sensed the impending disaster drawing nearer.

The mighty Mystics who flew up in the sky and battled their opponents were the first to disintegrate into ashes. But it was just the start.

Following that, flashes of black and purplish lightning randomly descended from the sky, attacking mystics and even mortals.

Even Charles and Udnir got attacked by multiple Legend Rank spells in two seconds and were utterly dumbfounded.

Although Charles managed to avoid getting killed in an instant due to his [Eye of Faceless] skill, he was still poorly hurt and looked burnt.

On the other hand, Udnir was the one who faced most of the Legend Rank spells.

But even with all these Legend Rank spells, he wasn't injured. No, the invisible forcefield around his body didn't even have a crack!

Meanwhile, Jessie didn't face any attack and looked confused.

"What happened?" She asked in a stiff tone.

"I think the defensive array became malfunction." Charles spoke gloomily and evaded another flash of lightning.

The sudden disastrous attack lasted over 15 seconds, killing over 100,000 people!

As the rain of spells ended, more than 10,000 Rank 4 Mystics, 200 Rank-5 Mystics, and 11 Legend Rank Mystics lost their lives, giving a heavy blow to the Miracle City's strength.

"Tsk, here comes the big one." Udnir said coldly and looked at the sky.

A second later, a soulless voice suddenly echoed from the sky, followed by a holographic appearance of a single vertical pupil eye.

"Detected a foreign power interfering with the City Core!"

The voice came from this mysterious eye, which appeared to be the size of two meters tall!

Within the eye, countless minuscule shimmering motes swirled and danced, resembling distant stars in a night sky. These specks of light move in a chaotic yet coordinated manner, creating an ethereal and mesmerizing spectacle. It gave the impression that the eye was alive, brimming with an otherworldly power that could pierce through illusions and see beyond the mundane.

As the eye manifested, a faint, eerie glow radiated from its depths, casting an ominous illumination on its surroundings. This eerie glow bathed the area in an unsettling, bluish hue, evoking a sense of unease and apprehension.

A second later, a mysterious wave of spiritual power spread throughout the city and scanned everyone.

"Defensive array system has been... Error! Error! Error!"

"Forcefully resisting!..... Resistance failed!"

"Core Access Card has been detected along with an anomaly."

"Due to the anomaly, the city core will forcibly restart."

"A new user named 'Anangu' has been registered as the 'Lord of the Miracle City.'"

While saying, the eerie eye blinked and looked down at the city.

In the meantime, all the mortals and Rank-1 Mystics in the Miracle City had already fallen unconscious. No, almost one-third of them couldn't withstand the spiritual pressure of this eye incarnation and died due to the explosion of their bodies!

A total of 8 million people died in a moment, painting the whole miracle city in blood and flesh!

Just as everyone wondered what had happened, a loud sigh came out of nowhere and echoed deep in everyone's souls.

A moment later, a strange black owl flew up towards the vertical pupil eye while flapping its tiny wings and slowly formed into an illusionary appearance of an ebony-skinned young woman.

"A mere mistake caused the core to kill one third of the population of Miracle City. Although the damage is large, it can't be helped."

She stood before the vertical illusionary eye, using her 'wisdom power' to communicate. Her rich ebony skin exuded a natural radiance, complementing the striking features that adorned her face. The contours of her Nubian nose lent an air of elegance and strength while her straight, lustrous locks cascaded down her back, reaching past her waist. Her face, adorned with a delicate balance of grace and determination, bore a lean yet captivating allure.

Beneath her low-arched eyebrows, her eyes shimmered like precious gems, reflecting a mesmerizing shade of deep cerulean blue. They held an enigmatic depth as if carrying the secrets of countless worlds within their gaze.

She draped herself in a splendid saree at that moment, the fabric flowing gracefully around her form. Its intricate patterns weaved tales of a rich heritage and vibrant culture, enhancing her innate beauty. Adorning her head, a silver crown illustrated with intricate engravings sat perfectly in place. Around her neck, she wore a unique necklace that caught the light and captivated the beholder's attention. A bluish gem embedded within the pendant emanated a gentle luminosity.

"Another person with Miracle Gold coin?" Udnir raised his eyebrows and soon turned solemn.

'Didn't the artificial spirit mention her name as 'Anangu' earlier? Could it be her? Impossible! Legends say that she had disappeared long ago. If this person is really 'her,' the whole universe might surely go through another cataclysm.'

Abium may not have known this ancient being, but not Udnir.

He had heard many tales about this ancient deity from many powerful existences and realized he had stepped into something more terrifying.

'I'm actually standing in front of one of the most powerful taboo existences in the universe!'

At that moment, Anangu also gracefully turned around in mid-air and locked her gaze on the Time God.

"So, you are the child that caused the downfall of Itera, huh?" She nodded her head and added.

"I will give you ten seconds to make a decision. Escape from this city or you will die."

A look of hesitation appeared on Udnir's face, followed by a deep frown.

'This city appears to be made of countless array formations and could be considered a dangerous spot in this world. Anyone who enters this city will be under the mercy of the City Owner. Even I'm unsure whether I can escape this city without a heavy injury.' Although he planned on capturing Charles and using him to find more information about Abium, he decided it wasn't worth taking the risk.

'Moreover, the appearance of this person flipped my whole plan. Uff, ancient beings are ancient beings after all.' He let out a deep breath and spoke.

"I'll leave," He said, looking down at the auditorium entrance.

At that moment, Charles and Jessie had long descended to the ground and stared back at Udnir warily.

"I'll remember your face, kid. If we ever happen to again, that will be your end." He let out a cold laugh and disappeared from there.

In the meantime, Anangu slightly waved her hand and shifted her gaze towards the north.

"It's time to kick out the unnecessary pests." Saying so, she waved her hand and forcefully teleported two people from the Underground District. One was a brown-haired man in his 60s, while the other was an 80-year-old man with a long beard and wrinkled face.

They were Demigod Rafael and Demigod Miguel.

Although both of them had teleported here forcefully, they showed no sign of anxiety and stared coldly at Anangu.

After a short pause, Rafael noticed his connection with the City Core was wholly cut off and frowned.

"Who are you?" He asked.

Meanwhile, Anangu showed an amused look and shook her head.

"You are not eligible to know my name." She paused for a moment and then added.

"Both of you must leave this city within two hours. Otherwise, you'll die."

A rage flashed on Miguel's face as he heard her words.

"A mere incarnation dares to mock us?"

He didn't hesitate as he released his 'Madness' Divine Power and tried to suppress Anangu.

But before he could even blink, his surroundings distorted and formed into an eerie blackish portal.

A powerful suction force came from behind a second later, pulling him deep into the void.

On the other hand, Rafael hurriedly teleported more than 200 meters away from the eerie portal and stared vigilantly at Anangu.

Rafael organized his thoughts and asked solemnly as the portal began to shrink.

"Why are you doing this?"

Although he didn't know who she was, he realized that this being could make him disappear like Demigod Miguel in a fraction of a second.

In the meantime, Anangu made a soft smile and soon turned into an appearance of a black owl.

"Time will tell you the answer." While saying that, she made a strange hoot and flew towards the auditorium entrance.

'This owl... Isn't it always tagging along with Albert? Is it also knew my true identity? Impossible.' He instantly shook his head and decided to leave the city for now.

'Once I gather more information about this being, I will seek the gods' help and recapture this city. But before that, I need to transfer all the important stuff from the Sun Tower and escape.' While muttering, he closed his eyes, cast a 'divine' skill called 'Divine Guidance', and searched for his son.

A moment later, he received a divine revelation that Emerson was still alive in a separate dimension and breathed a sigh of relief.

'Although he appears heavily injured, it's not a life threatening situation.' He nodded his head and vanished from there.
