728 Déjà vu

Chapter 728: Déjà vu

"It's good to see you, Senior." A royal elf suddenly flew out of the mouth and soon stopped as he reached a few feet from Udnir.

The corner of Udnir's lips twitched as he unsheathed his sword.

"Why are you still hiding in your Divine Kingdom? Instead of sending out your avatar, you should come here by yourself." Udnir said coldly.

Meanwhile, Abium made a light bow and said apologetically.

"It isn't the right time for us to battle, senior. I know you are angry over me snatching Itera. But in reality, she is the one chose me."

"You sure spout such nonsense after stealing three of my sacred relics." Udnir didn't even say a word as he suddenly disappeared from where he stood and appeared before Abium.

But before his sword's edge could touch Abium's neck, a strange invisible power descended out of nowhere and enveloped him.

Udnir instantly realized it was also 'Time' Divine Power and widened his eyes.

"Itera!! You already manage to take control of her?" He asked and soon noticed that Abium had already moved more than 2 meters away from him.

'His understanding of time is far exceeded than I thought. Moreover, it's only an avatar. Where is his main body? If I don't find his main body, it's almost impossible to get the Core of Itera back.' Udnir furrowed and soon noticed Abium was not even ready to battle.

"Although I love to battle you, now is not the right time, senior. Until we meet again, stay here and wait for me." Abium said with a smirk and soon added as he looked at the Edhen World.

"Ah I forgot to mention, it seems Edhen world has also awakened fully and also seemed to have regained most of her strength. I suggest you not enter her domain."

"So, that was your true motive to come here, huh? But was it you who put those void pillars all over the world? What are you planning?" Udnir asked with a frown.

He hadn't seen that many void pillars before and became curious about how Abium obtained it.

'If we had this much void pillars, we could've achieved our goal without much sacrifice. After all, all those ancient monsters were much stronger than me too.'

"I'm not the one who put these void pillars. It has to be either the 'Nine Beings' or someone else." Just as Abium spoke, a portal opened behind him and pulled him inside.

Although Udnir wanted to follow him, he refrained himself from doing so.

"That guy sure is planning to lure me into his Divine Kingdom." Udnir shook his head and slowly turned his attention towards Edhen World.

"Nine Beings, huh? I'm also wondering about their scheme too. But I feel there is more to it." As he spoke, he turned his gaze towards the direction of Adrillon Planet.

"Edhen's Children, huh? This whole Planet is going to its doomsday soon."

He soon shook his head, retracted his 'Time Divine Power,' and disappeared.

...

Rebirth Tower, Iron Kingdom.

Charles slowly retracted his gaze from the sky and soon looked at the quest reward iron that appeared before his eyes.

...

Charles's lips twitched as he looked at the question reward icon.

"Well, I no longer have to worry about facing the Time God." He breathed a sigh of relief and soon enveloped his body in a crimson flame before disappearing.

A second later, Charles reappeared at the Tower's entrance, startling the guards and the students.

Charles quietly walked towards the entrance gate without minding others and patiently waited.

More than an hour passed, and soon, a luxurious red-curtained carriage came from the city's interior before stopping at the entrance.

Soon, three people stepped out of the carriage one by one and greeted Charles.

But what caught Charles's attention was the two people behind Rhea.

One was a blonde-haired young woman in a black sheath dress, while the other was a muscular man with silvery eyes and short blonde hair.

'Is that Noel? He looks completely different person with his unique eyes.'

His chubby face was nowhere to be seen, and he emitted so much bloodlust.

Charles instantly scanned him and soon widened his eyes.

'He already became a Rank-5 [True Blade] and also became a Rank-5 [Dream Creator], huh?' But what caught Charles's attention was the title.

'Successor of the Star Emperor?'

"Greetings, Mr. Charles! It's nice to see you again." Jessie bowed and greeted him, causing him to turn his attention to her.

'Oh? She already became a Rank-5 [Siren] Class Mystic? With her Rank-5 Sub Class, she is almost as powerful as a beginner Legend Rank mystic. But her life pathway seems to have changed to 'Divine Pathway."

"Good to see you again. So, how did you get the 'Siren Class Gem', Jessie?" Charles asked.

"I didn't, Mister." She paused for a moment and soon added.

"Miracle City's owner took a liking to me and helped me break the shackle. After that, she took 'Sylvia' to the Tower of Sun and went into isolation."

"Oh? Did you discover her motive for controlling the Miracle City?" Charles asked as he knew Jessie didn't stay there to hide from Udnir but to gather more information.

A smile crept on her face.

"Yes. From what I've learned so far, she seems to be a little fond of the Destiny Conquerors organization leader and chose to help me as her successor. After that, she made me the Tower Master and asked me to take control of the security before disappearing. Thanks to the authority, I managed to gather enough information about her origin too. After some deep analysis, I learned that Anangu took control of the Miracle City to get her hand on two things. One: Sylvia. Two: It has something to do with Demigod Rafael. Also, she seems to be planning to go to an island in the Endless Sea. If I'm not wrong, it's an island called 'Last Island.'"

A solemn look appeared on Charles's face.

"Last Island? Isn't that place my clone stayed for a long time before my soul shattered? Why is she going there?" She had the most mysterious origin among the beings he had encountered so far and even scared Time God Udnir to retreat.

'Her schemes are well planned and thorough too. If I had been not careful, I might have become one of her pawn and got killed in the battle to obtain the ownership of the Miracle City.'

"Investigate more about it. But don't make it too obvious and get caught." Charles warned her.

"I already did a little research on this matter, Mister." Jessie nodded and gave him a little explanation.

"I went to the Tower of Mirror's 52nd Layer a few months ago and learned much about that Island. There is a legend says that anyone who goes to that Island will have a big change in their life. Some says that Island gives miracles, while some says it leaves the people with endless sorrow. Also, that Island was starting place of Chaos during the First Arcane Era. It's more like a story of love triangle."

"Love triangle?" A strange sense of déjà vu appeared in his mind.

"Yes. From the looks of it, Asher was the queen of Syreni Race and fell in love with an Elven Emperor. They started dating openly, resulting in opposition from humans and elves due to Asher being a chaos being. But things changed due to the scheme of a human woman out of jealous. In the end, humans and elves invaded the Blood Palace and killed Asher resulting in her becoming an eternal servant for a forgotten Ancient Goddess named Anangu. Broken by the heartbreak, Elven Emperor left the plane and went to Abyss to look for her soul. On the other hand, Humans and elves formed alliance and started hunting the Syreni in masses. By the time a savior arrived, the Syreni race had gone extinct in Edhen World."

"Savior? You mean Asher came back from the dead?" Charles was puzzled by this story and asked.

"No. To save the Syreni race, a powerful being seemed to have come to this Planet first and confronted the 'Will' of the world out of anger. Not only that, but she also resurrected 'Asher.'" Jessie suddenly recalled something and soon added.

"The Syreni race seems to have worshipped her for countless years and the people of that time revered her as 'Chaos Goddess.' But what was the result of the battle between the Will of the World and the mysterious being is still unknown. But one thing I'm sure is that the mysterious being is none other than the Anangu herself."
