Chapter 80 Arakkoa and Silence

"What's your name?"

William looked at the man kneeling in front of him and asked.

"As a member of the Crow Flock, I have no name and can only call myself the Prophet of Crow Feather."

William frowned slightly and continued to ask:

"How did you know I would be here?"

"My Lord prophesied your return and ordered me to welcome and congratulate you here."

The other party respectfully continued to answer.

This is the first person William met who knew his identity after crossing.

   Or...not human?

   "Are you an arakkoa?"

William asked while looking at his crow-like round and deep amber pupils.

   "Yes, Lord Judge."

The other party replied in the same posture as before.

"But I remember the arakkoa were killed in that purification a thousand years ago."

Arakkoa are not like humans or elves, they are intelligent creatures that exist in this world.

They are the product of a curse.

Arakkoa is said to have first appeared in the 20th year of the platinum calendar, shortly after the creation of the Seven Spirits model was proposed.

At that time, there was a group of scholars who set the grand goal of understanding the essence of the Bright Moon Realm. They were convinced that the Moon Realm was not a direct product of the creation of the Seven Holy Spirits, but had a more complex formation principle, and believed that this path could bring them True immortality. To this end, they have started a lot of research on the moon realm, and they have gone far enough on this road.

was far enough to anger the three kings of nothingness.

Whispering Queen, Lord of the Dark Tide, Pale Poet.

These three kings of nothingness gave them immortality directly.

   also gave them a curse.

The Whispering Queen ordered the thread of conspiracy to be connected to their eyes forever, and they would deduce countless cruel future fragments, and those countless tragic possibilities would torture them forever.

The Lord of the Dark Tide tore apart their original souls, and sewed blood and shadows on them, so that their emotions would only switch between the extremes of bloodthirsty rage and depressive burnout.

The pale poets gave them the constitution that as long as they exist in the world, they will continue to bring bad luck to themselves and their surroundings, and from then on, misfortune and disaster will always accompany them.

These three curses complement each other, and their extreme emotions make them eager to change the terrible future they see in their eyes, but the bad luck entangled in them will always make them push the future into a more tragic situation.

   And so on.

While gaining immortality, he has to endure eternal torture.

Most of them collapsed and degenerated into monsters and were killed. A few learned how to control their minds and not be tortured and crazy. They survived and even learned how to guide the power of the curse for their own use.

These people are the arakkoa of the later generations, a reclusive group who can see the future uncontrollably, can use shadows, blood and their own rage as weapons, and bring bad luck to the surrounding people.

They were regarded as strange and ominous symbols on the mainland, and were even classified as moon monsters for a time.

On the eve of the first full-scale invasion of the Moon Realm a thousand years ago, in order to eliminate the hidden dangers of the Moon Realm in the present world, with the support of the Holy Spirit Church, the Seven Kingdoms launched a great purge campaign against the Moon Realm curse across the continent.

Arakkoa were declared extinct in this purge.

   Except for one person…

"Yes, Lord Inquisitor, but you also know that one arakkoa escaped that purge."

   Crowfeather Prophet replied.

Of course   William knew.

Coles Jackdaw, last of the Tribunal, the last arakkoa.

William has no doubt that Coles is the last arakkoa in the true sense. After all, there is the label [Last Arakkoa] on his character attribute column.

"Yes, but that person is not you, what is your relationship with him?"

  William asked solemnly.

Arakkoa are infertile, and their only inheritance is to transfer their curse to another who willingly bears it before death.

But the arakkoa in front of him is obviously impossible, because after suffering the strong curse of Coles, if he can survive and catch his breath, then his strength can never be limited to the current strength.

"The lord scatters his curse and leaves behind an inheritance. We are the new arakkoa who inherited his power."

   The arakkoa replied.

   William went on to ask:

"So is that the one who predicted my arrival? Coles Jackdaws?"

The man did not reply, but continued to maintain his previous respectful attitude.

And the look on his face was like saying - I can't say.

William noticed that the other party mentioned the name "Crows".

This secret organization, William, had known about it before.

Previously, he moved a large cabinet from the archives of the Star Lighthouse in the City of Thorns, and the self-destruction prohibition was inscribed on the cabinet. After William was free from dealing with the Holy Tomb, he returned to the Dusk Fortress to use the underground enchantment. The tools in the room were broken.

Most of the documents contained within    are about multiple Lunar cults in northern Blackwater Province—including secret societies that secretly preached inside the Rose Palace Mage Hall and the underground of Offa University. The details of its information gave William a new understanding of the intelligence gathering capabilities of the Star Council.

According to Vincent, there was a secret agreement between Duke Simon and the tower keepers at that time, and all evidence of moon worship in the Mage Hall of the Rose Palace must be destroyed. However, it seems that the old guy didn't keep his promise, but kept it for himself, and I don't know if it was for the future.

It's a pity that he didn't expect that Simon was not a good stubborn, or he expected it, but he didn't expect the other party to turn his face faster and to be more ruthless, so these materials did not wait until the day he could use it.

In those materials, there was a report on the "Crow Flock" moon worship organization that attracted William's special attention.

Because in that report, the word that appeared the most was the word "unknown".

The specific worship object is unknown, the purpose of the activity is unknown, the organizational structure is unknown, the size of the group is unknown…

In addition to being sure that the object of worship of the other party is not any vain king, and that every member who joins must make an oath called "silence", there is no other valuable information in this document.

   And that oath called "Silence"...

According to the records of the Star Lighthouse, they once captured a member of the outer circle of the crow, and tortured him to reveal the identity of the object of his worship. But the other party said that he had made an oath of "silence" and could not say anything about his master.

In the end, there was really no other way. The tower guard personally used the [Law of the Dead], trying to dig out some information from the undead of the other party. As a result, the other party just said the name "Father of Crows". It was torn to pieces by an unknown force.

It's the same situation as William interrogating the traitor David Orbis of Offa University.

Saying the name will be completely silent.

So William looked at the arakkoa who had been silent all this time, and did not continue to question.

After thinking for a few seconds, he continued to ask:

   "So you can't say anything?"

   The man nodded.

"Let me ask, can you just nod or shake your head?"

"Neither, this is the limitation of our ability to move in this world. Any information about our Lord must be kept silent."

   The man shook his head.

  William felt a little headache.

Finally got the clues of the members of the Tribunal, why is this the current situation?

   What kind of riddleman?
