Harry Potter: The Path of Destiny

Chapter 49: Things hidden in the basement

Mrs. Zabini and her group did not leave until after dinner, and Nidia waited until they were gone before she had time to write to Hermione and Ron about Harry's situation. Nidia expected them to reply to her. What good news is coming.

"Don't worry too much. George and Fred have so many evil ideas. I think the two of them will be able to come up with some method. We also have Hermione who is smart. Her parents are both Muggles. Maybe It's not certain what Muggle means they can use to rescue Harry," Michelle comforted the worried Nydia.

"I hope so!" Nidia kept looking at the direction in which the owls were flying away, as if she thought they would fly back with a reply immediately.

Draco dragged his tired body back to Malfoy Manor. He was exhausted. He basically practiced flying broomsticks this afternoon. The speed and lift of Nimbus 2001 were so good. He was so excited that he practiced selflessly. Then, when Nitya finally called him back to the ground, he felt that his legs could hardly be straightened because they had been kept in a bent position.

"I heard that you followed Mrs. Zabini to Field Manor?" Lucius Malfoy suddenly appeared and stopped Draco who was about to go back to his room to rest.

"Well, yes, father." Draco was a little nervous, probably because he lost to Granger in the final grade. He felt that his father had become more and more strict with him recently.

Lucius Malfoy glanced at the broomstick held in Draco's hand and said, "I have equipped you with the best equipment. I hope you won't let me down again this time."

"I will work hard, father." Draco lowered his head and tightened his grip on the broomstick unconsciously.

Lucius Malfoy wanted to say a few more words, but his wife quickly walked out and interrupted him.

"The child is too tired, let him go back to his room to rest!" Narcissa turned to Draco and said, "Look at your whole body, you are smelling like this. It is really rude to visit someone else's house like this. Hurry up. Go wash up!"

Draco raised his arm and put it under the tip of his nose and smelled it. There was indeed some smell. Thinking that he had been eating with Nydia and the others with this smell all the time, his face turned red unconsciously.

"I'm going to wash up right away, mother." After saying that, Draco left quickly and walked to his room.

Narcissa couldn't help but sigh as she watched Draco's figure disappear around the corner of the stairs.

"Are you being a little too strict with him? He is still just a child after all."

"If possible, I don't want it to be like this." Lucius Malfoy pressed his temple with a headache. "The Dark Lord has already taken action on the Sorcerer's Stone. Although it was unsuccessful, it also shows that he has recovered to possess the magic stone." It must be threatening. When he fully recovers, we will be living on a knife's edge again. I am worried that if something happens to us, and Draco is not strong enough, how will he take care of himself? !”

"Do you have any plans?" Narcissa felt a little helpless.

"There are no concrete plans yet, but I think it's time to take out the things hidden in the basement." Lucius Malfoy said.

"Now? You know the danger of that thing. What are you going to do?"

"We already discussed it when Ward came here last time. The Dark Lord has already started taking action, so we must do something to avoid being suspected. And it's time to let the old fox know about the existence of this thing."

"But most of Hogwarts is filled with students, and this is too dangerous for them." Narcissa said worriedly, "Draco and Nydia are also in Hogwarts, and they are also very dangerous. may be in danger.”

"If you don't take risks now, more people will be in danger later, and his main target will be Harry Potter..." Lucius Malfoy wanted to say something more, but a plate fell. A voice interrupted him.

A house elf with big green eyes was standing behind them with a frightened expression.

"Dobby?" Narcissa called in surprise. She had no idea when Dobby appeared behind them.

"Hug...I'm sorry Master, Dobby...Dobby just wanted to come to give you...a little snack." Dobby nervously looked at the cakes and biscuits that had fallen to the ground.

"When did you stand here?" Lucius Malfoy stared closely at Dobby, who was shaking nervously.

"Just... just here, Master." Dobby was so nervous that he didn't even dare to raise his head.

"Really?" Lucius Malfoy was skeptical.

"That's enough, Lucius, a house elf will never lie to its master." Narcissa reminded Lucius Malfoy. She could see that her husband had murderous intentions for this house elf. After all, what they just talked about was too important.

Lucius Malfoy did not speak immediately, he just looked at the poor house elf again.

"Clean up quickly and get out of here!" Lucius Malfoy yelled at Dobby angrily.

"Yes, yes, Dobby will clean up and leave immediately."

After saying that, Dobby immediately began to clean up the debris and broken cakes on the ground, and then disappeared from the spot with a snap.

It took Dobby a long time to calm down his nervous mood after apparating back to the kitchen, and he began to mutter quietly to himself.

"Harry Potter's life will be in danger if he returns to Hogwarts. Dobby cannot let Harry Potter be in danger. He is locked up now and can no longer return to Hogwarts. But this is not enough. Dobby must do something to ensure that he cannot return to Hogwarts. Yes, he must do something else."

Hermione's reply was sent back the next afternoon, but she did not give any particularly constructive solutions. She used a large section of the letter to lament how the Dursleys could do such a thing. Ron's reply letter didn't arrive until the evening of the third day. The letter was delivered by an old owl that could hardly fly. It failed to land smoothly at the window of Nitia's room, but rolled directly onto the carpet beside Nitia's bed. Its sudden appearance really scared Nitia and Michelle, but the content of the letter cheered them up. The letter was short. It started with some complaints like Hermione's, and the key point was that he wrote at the end, "Leave it to us to handle it!"

"Leave it to him? Did Ron think of any solution?" The letter didn't specify what solution he had come up with, and Nitia couldn't help but worry whether Ron could really rescue Harry.

"Notice that he said we, not me. This must be some trick that George and Fred came up with." Michelle said.

"I hope he can really handle it!" Nitia was still a little worried.

Nitia did not let the weak owl fly back quickly. She left it in the owl house to rest. She asked an owl from her home to take her reply letter and asked Ron to keep the owl temporarily because she hoped that Ron would reply to her immediately as soon as he had news.

The waiting time was not as long as Nitia thought. On the morning of the second day after Ron's last reply, she received another letter from Ron.

"Oh my God! They did it. Harry is now taken to Ron's house!" Nitia excitedly showed the letter to Michelle.

"I knew they could do it." Michelle looked proud, as if she had done it herself.

"I really don't know what method they used. Ron's letter writing skills really need to be improved. Every time he writes, it's so short, but they have rescued Harry." Nitia was relieved to get this news.

"When I go back to school, I must let George and Fred tell me how they rescued Harry. I guess it must be very exciting." Michelle said excitedly.

"I hope it's not too extreme!" Nitia always felt that what George and Fred did was definitely not something that ordinary people could come up with.
