Hogwarts: I'm a model wizard

Chapter 600 The secret of cutting-edge black magic

As one of the oldest families in the magical world, the Black family does have a large collection of books, which have been accumulated from generation to generation.

Moreover, there are rumors that when Phineas Black was the principal of Hogwarts, many rare books in the school library were lost. It is very likely that he took them away and placed them in the Black family.

But Phineas himself did not admit that he had done such a thing, and he often had wars of words with other portraits about it.

Of course, this was all hundreds of years ago, and there is no way to check whether it is true or false.

Led by the house elf Kreacher, the two walked through the hall and kitchen towards the basement behind the storage cabinets.

On the way, they also met the trio and Lupine who were discussing their holiday homework. They were also interested in the Black family's library and wanted to come and take a look.

Sirius naturally agreed. Although Kreacher was very reluctant to have Hermione, a Muggle-born wizard, set foot in the most important place of the Black family, Sirius and Kyle both nodded, and he could only mutter with reluctance. The ground continues to lead the way.

The group arrived at the dark and damp basement, and Kreacher fiddled with the fireplace for a while. The moldy cupboard in the corner immediately popped open to both sides, revealing a spacious passage behind it.

As they walked in, the torches on both sides of the passage lit up at the same time.

"It's incredible. I didn't expect there to be such a hidden place here." Harry couldn't help but said, "It feels like an adventure."

"This is normal." Ron said, "After all, the Black family has been around for hundreds of years."

The corridor was not long, and soon they came to a large room.

Unlike the basement, there is not only no smell of mold here, but there is not even dust.

Bright sunlight poured in through the enchanted window, illuminating the room brightly. They could clearly see the nearly a hundred bookshelves inside, which were filled with various books.

Although it is not as spectacular as the school library, this is a person's home after all, and this number is already remarkable.

"Oh! My God!" Hermione exclaimed subconsciously, "You actually built a library at home!"

"This place is simply wonderful." Lupine couldn't help but said: "Sirius, why have you never told me that there is a library here before."

He had lived here for a long time before, but he had never heard Sirius mention it.

Sirius's face turned slightly red, because he didn't know there was such a place at home.

He had moved out of this home since he was sixteen years old and didn't come back until not long ago.

As for before the age of sixteen.

Who would read a book when they go home on vacation... Maybe someone does, but that person is definitely not him.

However, when facing Lupine and Harry, he couldn't say this kind of thing, so he could only say hesitantly:

"Well, I forgot, you know, after being in Azkaban for twelve years, I can't remember a lot of things."

"No wonder," said Lupine.

He had no doubts, because staying with Dementors for a long time could indeed make people forget a lot of things.

Hermione couldn't help but take a step forward.

When Kreacher saw this scene, he almost jumped up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

"Get your feet off the floor and look at this..."

"Kreacher, can you do me a favor?" Before he could finish his words, Kyle's voice came from beside him.

Kreacher's attitude suddenly changed, and he said respectfully: "I am happy to serve you, Master Kyle."

"How about you help me find some books." Kyle asked, "I think you should be familiar with this place."

"Kreacher knows where every book here is." the elf assured, patting his chest.

"That's good." Kyle looked back and found that no one else was paying attention, then he bent down and said something in the house elf's ear.

Then he asked: "Do you have these books?"

"Yes." Kreacher nodded and immediately ran towards the farthest bookshelf.

As soon as he left, Hermione, who had been shocked before, bravely walked into the library accompanied by Lupine.

She came to the nearest bookshelf and looked at the books on it with interest.

Unlike the school library, the books here have obviously not been screened in any way.

Some books that were in the restricted book section of the school and had to be signed by the professor before they could be borrowed were clearly placed on the bookshelves here, and she could take them down easily.

For a moment, Hermione's face turned red with excitement, looking like a Niffler who had strayed into the Gringotts vault.

After a while, Kreacher came back.

After seeing the library being broken into by a werewolf and a Muggle wizard, he was immediately ready to have a fit and drive them out.

But he was stopped by Sirius in the next second.

"This is my permission, Kreacher." He said, "Don't disturb them, this is an order!"

Helpless, Kreacher could only bow reluctantly and then agree.

He did not look at Lupine and Hermione anymore, but came to Kyle and handed over the thick stack of books in his hand like a treasure.

"Thanks, Kreacher." Kyle said as he took the book.

"It's Kreacher's honor," the elf said. "If Master Kyle needs anything else, you can tell Kreacher."

"It's not needed for now," Kyle said.

Kreacher brought him five books in total, and Kyle placed them on a table next to him and read through them.

The one on top has a wand with distinct joints drawn on it.

"The Secret of the Wand"

Further down,

"Breaking the Wand: A Restraint or a Help"

The next two books are also related to magic wands.

This surprise interrogation by the Ministry of Magic was a wake-up call for Kyle. To be cautious, he wanted to know what kind of magic Diana had used before that could eliminate the pre-flashback curse.

But since Diana returned to the Department of Mysteries, she would definitely not be able to teach him in a short time, so Kyle wanted to look for it in the book.

He just told Kreacher that he needed books related to wands, and Kreacher brought them to him.

But there was no rush, and the Ministry of Magic would not trouble him again in a short period of time. After looking through it for a while, Kyle put them aside, and then picked up the bottom and last book.

It was a book with a brown cover, with a purple streak around it, but it had faded. Its name is written in the middle.

"The Secret of Cutting-Edge Black Magic"

Kyle just glanced at it and immediately covered it with another book while taking a few deep breaths.

He had thought before that this book, which was originally in the library and was later taken away by Dumbledore, might be available elsewhere.

Nico might have some in his library in Paris, but there were also magic restrictions there, and he couldn't get some books on dark magic.

Originally, Kyle planned to wait for some time before asking Nico, but when Mr. Weasley invited him to No. 12 Grimmauld Place, he suddenly thought of a question.

As a pure-blood family that has been passed down for hundreds of years, the family must have collected a few books related to black magic no matter what.

So he just asked with the mentality of giving it a try, but he didn't expect that it actually existed here.
