Hogwarts Outsider

Chapter 58: Real principal

   Another peaceful night.

Matthew and the friends in the dormitory ate some cold quail from the house elf sent by Horace Slughorn.

Then he fell asleep peacefully in the soft sound of waves outside the window.

  ……

The next day is Halloween, and the students at Hogwarts ushered in a one-day holiday.

Matthew Wickfield went to the auditorium to eat some breakfast, and then habitually came to the library.

Since it was too early, there were no people in the library.

He wandered between the rows of bookshelves, seeming to be looking for something.

didn't spend too much time, he found a book, a book that was a bit old and looked ripped.

just picked up the book, and suddenly a small hand grabbed his arm.

"Matthew!" A familiar voice sounded in his ear: "I want to talk to you!"

Matthew squinted at her and cleared his throat: "Good morning, Miss Granger!"

"Good morning!" Hermione Granger nodded coldly, and then suddenly questioned: "I finally caught you, have you been hiding from me lately?"

"Of course not!" Matthew shook his head without hesitation, looking innocent: "How could it be possible!"

"Do you have time now to chat with me?" Hermione looked at Matthew solemnly.

"Okay!" Matthew could only shrug and nod.

  ……

If you want to chat, you must not be in the library.

Otherwise, Mrs. Pince’s anger would not be enough for them.

Matthew first went to Mrs. Pins and went through the procedures for borrowing the book he had just found.

And Hermione Granger was waiting for him at the library door.

"Where shall we go to talk?" Matthew asked while holding a book in one hand.

"I know a secret place!" A triumphant expression appeared on Hermione's face.

"Where?" Matthew glanced at her suspiciously.

"Near the potions classroom, there is a girl's bathroom between the castle and the basement." Hermione replied, "Of course, it's already deserted. So don't worry, except for a ghost crying all day. Nothing. It's hidden and safe!"

Matthew couldn't help blinking. The girl's bathroom that Hermione was talking about... seemed to be the location of the entrance to the secret room.

He shook his head without hesitation, his face resolute: "No, I can't enter the girls' bathroom, that goes against my principles of life!"

"But..." Hermione hesitated for a moment.

"Just find an unmanned classroom, if you really have something you can't let others hear." As Matthew said, he scanned the passers-by at the entrance of the library.

"Okay!" Hermione Granger had to give in.

  ……

They chose the nearest magic history classroom.

The classroom is empty and completely dark.

Matthew opened the curtain of a window, then sat nearby, and began to flip through the tattered old book in his hand.

"If you have anything, just say it!" At the same time, he said slowly.

"Matthew!" Hermione Granger's voice sounded a little earnest and earnest: "Don't you have any sense of crisis for the recent frequent attacks?"

"No!" Matthew raised his head and shook his head.

"You really..." Hermione stared at him with a bit of hatred for iron and steel.

She had to continue: "Four students have been attacked... Except for Malfoy, everyone else is still alive or dead..."

"Professor Grindelwald has said that the castle is now safe and there will be no more attacks!" Matthew responded calmly.

"Do you really believe what he said?" Hermione's voice was full of doubts.

"No doubt!" Matthew spread his hands.

"Are you really sure that Principal Grindelwald is at Hogwarts?" Hermione gritted her teeth and screamed.

   Matthew's face turned slightly strange.

"It seems that you realize it too!" Hermione showed a triumphant expression.

"No." However, Matthew shook his head: "I saw him in the main guest table just before breakfast."

Hermione looked around like a thief.

Then, her voice became very small: "But, Professor Rozier is not there, right?"

"I don't understand, what exactly do you mean." Matthew looked expressionless.

"President Grindelwald and Professor Rozier, almost never appeared in front of us at the same time!" Hermione insisted.

"I think it's obvious, because Professor Rozier was injured..." Matthew retorted plainly: "And, at the dinner last night, didn't they attend at the same time!"

"Last night was the Halloween dinner!" Hermione Granger's expression looked very serious: "The principal Gellert Grindelwald in previous years has never been absent from such a formal banquet... but apart from these important things Outside of time, he has rarely been at Hogwarts!"

"Because Professor Grindelwald is very busy!"

Matthew answered without hesitation~www.ltnovel.com~ learn and use.

"This is not a persuasive reason." Hermione looked a little dismissive:

"I can be sure... Principal Gellert Greenward who appeared at Hogwarts during this period was all pretended by Professor Rozier, through the use of'complex decoction'... Professor Slughorn In the first class, I described the effect of that medicine..."

"Of course I know the compound decoction." Matthew interrupted her quickly: "However, this is a very severe accusation!"

"wait--"

Hermione opened her heavy schoolbag and quickly took out a book from it.

turned the book to one of the pages, and then she said firmly:

"And... because Gellert Greenward has never been the real Hogwarts principal!"

This time, Matthew Wickfield was really taken aback for a moment.

"This is a harsher accusation!" His voice became a little serious.

"Hogwarts: A History of the School" has a clear description. Every principal of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry chooses independently by the castle..." Hermione's speech speed became very fast: "Because Hogwarts Castle was originally an extremely powerful magical creation..."

"...Grindelwald is not the principal of Hogwarts at all. He has not been recognized by Hogwarts Castle at all. So when he appears in Hogwarts, the castle will naturally reject him and treat him Is suppressed by the power of, so he cannot stay at Hogwarts for too long..."

"So, who is the real principal?" Matthew asked flatly.

"I don't know, but the only certainty is that he is still alive!" Hermione replied firmly.
