Hogwarts Outsider

Chapter 9: 13 and 11

Matthew Wickfield always thought he would go crazy.

Because of that strange book of unknown origin.

But this is not the case. Until three days later, he was still alive and well, in Room 13 of the Broken Cauldron Bar.

And that book has been lying quietly in the abandoned toad glass box; Matthew has not taken the initiative to touch it; it has not had any impact on Matthew's life.

so much so that he once thought that he could say goodbye to the book when he left the cauldron bar.

But on the night of August 31, the book once again disappeared from Matthew’s sight and "leaved" from the glass box; later, when he packed his luggage for Hogwarts, he found it The book lies quietly at the bottom of the suitcase.

   just moved a position.

Several times in the past few days, Matthew almost couldn't control his inner temptation and tried to open the book.

Take a look at what is written on it and find out what secret it hides...

But in the end, reason still prevailed.

Matthew's intuition has been warning him that if this mysterious magic side item is rashly touched without knowing it, the consequences will be disastrous.

The tragic death of that black-eyed toad had already left a deep impression in his mind.

Even if he saw the book lying quietly at the bottom of the suitcase, Matthew still locked the suitcase calmly as if nothing happened.

Then lay down on the bed and fell asleep peacefully.

  ……

Early the next morning, Matthew woke up at six o'clock.

For Hogwarts, he was a little curious, a little nervous, a little excited, and a little scared.

After getting up from the bed, he put on a black wizard robe bought in Diagon Alley a few days ago; although the weather is still very hot, this seemingly thick robe is quite comfortable to wear... Is there any kind of cool magic?

Then, he found out the letter Penello Krivart had handed him before leaving.

In the envelope, there is only one train ticket... Let Matthew take the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 of King’s Cross Station at 11 am on September 1.

There is no hint or explanation other than that.

But Miss Crevat also told him before leaving that Tom, the owner of the Broken Cauldron Bar, would send him over, so Matthew just waited quietly in the room.

Until ten thirty in the morning, the door of room thirteen was knocked gently.

walked over and opened the door. The barkeeper Tom, who was thin and shriveled and with all teeth out, was outside, holding a small flowerpot with shiny green powder in his hand.

"Have been waiting, Mr. Wickfield!" He grinned and said with a smile.

"Please come in, sir!" Matthew said quickly.

Tom walked into room 13 and walked slowly to the fireplace. He snapped his fingers, and the dark green flame in the fireplace rose instantly.

"We will go to King's Cross Station via Floo powder, Mr. Wickfield." Tom explained: "Just get in from one fireplace and emerge from the other...very simple, and very easy... You only need to clarify the words'Kings Cross Station'... as long as you speak correctly, you won't go to the wrong fireplace..."

The process of how he will use Floo powder is described in great detail, and Matthew is also listening quietly.

After repeatedly confirming that Matthew has fully understood all the steps, Tom put the flowerpot on the mantelpiece.

"I'll be a demonstration first, by the way, help you bring your luggage first." He snatched Matthew's suitcase.

Then Tom picked up a pinch of shining powder from the flowerpot, walked to the stove, and threw the powder into the flame.

whistle, the fire turned greenish green, rising higher than the old man. He walked straight into the fire, shouted "Kings Cross Station" in his mouth, and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Matthew took a deep breath, reached out his hand to take a handful of Floo powder, and walked to the flame:

   "King's Cross Station!"

He seemed to be sucked into a huge washing machine, his whole body was spinning fast, the whistling in his ears was deafening, and the green flames in front of him were dazzling...

I looked around, I could see a series of fireplace doors faintly flashing past, and I could even glimpse the room outside the fireplace...

After some time, Matthew suddenly realized that he had arrived at his destination.

He is now located in a fairly wide space...The walls on all sides are lined with black and shiny dark wooden boards, and many fireplaces with emerald flames are embedded in the wooden boards. Every few seconds, with a soft pop, a wizard suddenly emerged from a fireplace on the left. On the right, there are one or two people in line waiting to leave in front of each fireplace.

"Mr. Wickfield!" Tom handed Matthew's suitcase back to him: "I wish you a pleasant stay at Hogwarts."

"Thank you, Mr. Tom." Matthew bowed slightly, and UU read www.uukánshu.com in reply.

The owner of Po Keke Bar just smiled, and then began to line up in front of the fireplace on the right to leave.

  ……

Out of the room with all fireplaces, King's Cross station arrived.

A crimson steam locomotive parked on a platform crowded with passengers. The sign on the train said: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock.

And the sign on the side platform reads: 9? Platform.

The smoke of the steam locomotive filled the sky over the chirping crowd. All kinds of cats are walking around under people's feet, and a few toads can be vaguely seen jumping around. The screams of the owls, mixed with the voices of the crowd and the sound of heavy luggage dragging, seemed very harsh.

Matthew squeezed past the crowd. The plot like this on the platform is somewhat similar to the situation in memory.

Just when he was about to get in the car to find a box——

"Hey hey hey!" Someone seemed to call him behind him.

Matthew turned around a little puzzled, and saw a girl with very thick tousled brown hair, holding a big **** cat in her arms, running towards him.

"Hello?" Matthew frowned. He didn't seem to know him in memory.

"You are the thirteenth, right?" the girl asked with some interest.

"Thirteenth..." It took a while for Matthew to realize that this was his room number in the Broken Cauldron Bar. He nodded, "Yes, that's right."

"At the Broken Cauldron Bar, I saw you several times; I have always wanted to say hello to you, but I haven't had a chance these days... By the way, I am the 11th!"

The girl grinned, showing two obvious little rabbit teeth.
