Hogwarts: Wizards Supreme

Chapter 20 Mr. Foley’s Friend

"Good evening, Professor Snape." Brian greeted with flawless etiquette.

"What did you do?" Snape looked at him with cold and empty eyes, rarely softening a little.

"Ah, I went to Professor Quirrell's office." Brian said truthfully, "You know, Professor Quirrell's lectures always make me vaguely understand something."

Snape nodded, unable to tell what he was thinking. He said with a smooth voice and a mocking tone: "Don't always go to him. I think it is difficult for Quirrell to explain some questions to you clearly at Quirrell's level. You can ask me."

"Okay, thank you, Professor Snape." Brian gave his best smile.

Looking at Snape's back floating away like a big black bat, Brian thought thoughtfully: "So he is caring about me and keeping me away from the dangerous Quirrell?"

"It's really awkward. People who don't know better think that he is still thinking about his position in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class and wants to have fun."

But this is good news for him. At least Snape's Defense Against the Dark Arts level is absolutely excellent and he can learn a lot.

Brian spent a day sorting out all the Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions knowledge he wanted to understand, and also added some of the issues Hermione discussed with him in her letter.

On the afternoon of the third day, Brian knocked on Snape's office door directly after finishing Potions class.

This office is a dark room, and the lights make the place a little green. There are bottles of colorful magic potions, weird animal and plant specimens, and various medicinal materials on the shelves.

Brian was a little lucky that he didn't find a few specimens of the silver snake inside.

Snape was sitting behind his desk, flipping through a roll of parchment. He said in a low and smooth tone: "Sit down over here, Brian."

"Okay, Professor." Brian sat down obediently and watched Snape roll up the parchment in his hand and put it aside.

Snape turned his gaze to him, and Brian knew he could ask questions.

"Professor, I would like to ask you some questions about Defense Against the Dark Arts..." Brian said with his pure and studious eyes widened.

Brian told his problems one by one, and Snape could always use concise and concise language to pinpoint the problem, which made Brian suddenly realize.

Compared with Snape's teaching level, Quirrell's teaching is simply shit!

"Your level of knowledge astounds me, Brian," Snape said at the end.

"Your knowledge reserve amazes me even more, Professor." Brian said gently, "You are the best Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions professor."

Snape's expression softened significantly.

"I know your father, Brian," he said. "In fact, he prepares a gift for me every Christmas."

"Dad always took his friends seriously." Brian smiled. It seemed that Snape was one of his father's countless friends.

"Yes, he is always very enthusiastic." Snape sighed.

In fact, that's for you, Mr. Albert Foley has always said what others say, and what devils tell devils. Brian complained silently in his mind.

Mr. Foley can make people feel happy, or they can make people hate him. There was no doubt that he had found the best way to deal with Professor Snape, who was probably not good at dealing with enthusiastic friends.

Brian walked out of Snape's office and closed the door quietly.

He took a few steps and saw the Harry trio passing by not far ahead. They were turning to look at him. He nodded to them - mainly Hermione.

"Did you see that? Foley just came out of Snape's office." Ron whispered after Brian had walked away.

"He probably went to ask a question or something." Hermione frowned slightly.

"However, I just saw Snape threatening Professor Quirrell not long ago. He definitely wanted to find out how to break the spell that Professor Quirrell placed under the trap door," Harry said.

"Remember before? Foley deliberately took us to the trap door. Later, he brought down the troll in advance and attracted the attention of the professors. That night Snape tried to go through the trap door. But he was bitten on the leg by a big dog." Harry said with joy, "Plus he was very close to Snape..."

"The facts are obvious. He and Snape are in the same group. He has always wanted to help Snape get the Sorcerer's Stone!" Harry concluded.

"That's right, Hermione, don't always speak for him." Ron agreed.

Hermione frowned in confusion, feeling a little headache.

Hermione was a little at a loss. The two of them were so determined that she also doubted whether it was true.

But she still decided to give this special friend a little more trust, so in her letter to Brian that night, she asked in a subtle way why.

"You know, Hermione, Professor Quirrell always makes the knowledge in the textbooks vague. I have been asking Professor Quirrell about the issues we have been arguing about."

"But that day outside Professor Quirrell's office, Professor Snape asked me to stay away from Professor Quirrell. He said I could ask him any questions."

"Professor Quirrell seems very uncomfortable recently, so I didn't bother him anymore. He really should get more rest."

"To be honest, I may have some disrespect for Professor Quirrell, but Professor Snape's teaching level is really much better. I feel like I have been saved."

"For example, this issue we have been arguing about is actually not that complicated at all. It should be..."

Hermione's mood improved after seeing Brian's letter.

But she obviously couldn't change the views of her friends. Harry just mused: "He saw Snape outside Professor Quirrell's office? It seems that he pushed Quirrell very hard. Professor Quirrell has become haggard recently."

"I really hope Professor Quirrell can persist." Ron said, "I think maybe Foley and Snape are taking turns trying to ask something from Professor Quirrell."

"You always think bad things about people. You think he is bad, so you always think he is doing bad things." Hermione said in a dissatisfied tone, "This is too arbitrary."

"Why didn't you say that Professor Quirrell was trying to get the Philosopher's Stone, and the two of them were trying to stop him?" Hermione gave an example, "That makes sense, doesn't it?"

"Oh, how is this possible, Hermione." Ron hugged his shoulders and said, "Look how pitiful Professor Quirrell is."

"I'm just giving you an example." Hermione glared at him.

In the Slytherin lounge, Brian looked at Hermione's letter and smiled softly.

It seems that the little witch still has considerable trust in him.

He had no intention of breaking her heart, but the path he chose was full of surprises, and he didn't know what the future would hold.

At least judging from the ending, he is definitely on Harry Potter's side, but maybe the process will make them less fond of it.

Brian put his chin on his hand and fell into deep thought.

Daphne came over and sat next to him, taking out her Defense Against the Dark Arts homework and writing it.

"Brian, can you lend me your Defense Against the Dark Arts notes?" She said a little embarrassedly, "Pansy always talked to me in the last class..."

"Ah, of course, here." Brian came back from his thoughts, pulled out the notes and handed them to her.

"Thank you." Daphne grinned.

"By the way, your friend Goyle, has he completed the ritual?" Daphne asked curiously.

"No, I pulled him over before and completed a ritual in front of him, trying to tell him that I was joking." Brian shrugged helplessly, "But he stubbornly believed that I had already completed it once So it doesn’t work.”

"Then what should we do?" Daphne lowered her head and suppressed a smile.

"I tried to ask Draco to do it once to help me prove the authenticity." Brian continued, "But Draco thought it was funny and refused to help me. And he thought the ceremony was stupid, and he didn't want to be stupid. thing."

"So I recently gave up on proving it to Gower and started thinking about how to make it up to him."

"I think this shouldn't be difficult. All I need to do is prepare some of Goyle's favorite candies." Brian put his chin in his hand and said, "But I probably have to supply him with candies for a whole year."

Daphne turned her head and laughed.
