Chapter 22 Sending away the fire dragon

"Oh my God, Malfoy really told this!"

Hermione opened the letter in her hand and said eagerly.

"But Charlie told me he can come and take the dragon away this Saturday." Ron grabbed his red hair.

"No, we have to tell Hagrid right away and take care of Norbert tonight." Harry stood up with a thud.

"But what can we do?" Hermione scratched her hair into a mess. "Put it in the Forbidden Forest? It will burn the Forbidden Forest. If so, Hagrid will be dead."

"Let's go to Hagrid's place to discuss it first." The three of them waited until get out of class was over at noon and then ran towards Hagrid's hut together.

"No, they can't take Norbert away." Hagrid blew his nose and made a sound like thunder.

"But you will be sent to Azkaban!" Harry was anxious, "Maybe you can knock him out and hide him in the lake or something."

"No, Norbert is still a child." Hagrid shouted, "You can't do this to him!"

"If there's nothing we can do, maybe we can ask him for help." Hermione shook Brian's letter.

"Hermione, this may be a trap. We can't pin Hagrid's safety on a Slytherin!" Ron retorted.

Harry agreed.

"But we have no other way, right?" Hermione hugged her shoulders and said, "Or you can come up with a way right away?"

"No matter what, it's ridiculous to ask Foley for help." Ron shook his head.

"Okay, so what are we going to do?" Hermione asked.

"Perhaps you can knock it out and hide it in the Forbidden Forest." Harry suggested.

"We don't know how many days the investigators will come to investigate. The fire dragon may starve to death." Hermione said, "Or it may wake up in the middle and burn the Forbidden Forest."

Hagrid sobbed and shook his head. He touched Noble's head lovingly and let it bite his hand.

"Norbert is such a lovely child, healthy and energetic. I am his mother, and the only one he can rely on is me. I will never treat him like this."

"Perhaps, I can write another letter and ask Charlie." Ron said in a difficult voice.

Hermione leaned against the door and exhaled heavily.

Brian couldn't help but smile when he saw Hermione's letter asking for help. He didn't expect the two little brats Harry and Ron to surrender to him.

Brian actually had no other choice. He could only ask one of his father's friends to come over and take away the fire dragon to take care of it temporarily, and then send it to Charlie Weasley.

Brian felt that he should be able to obtain witness points in this way, and it was a "participation" witness point.

"At midnight today, take the fire dragon to the top of the tallest tower. I asked my father to find someone to pick it up and take care of it temporarily. Brian."

He watched the owl Beca fly away with the letter in her mouth.

That night, just before midnight, Brian quietly made his way to the tallest tower.

Standing at the top of the tower, the stars in the sky seemed to be within reach, giving Brian the illusion of being isolated from the world, which deeply intoxicated Brian.

The three of them packed Norbert the Fire Dragon in a crate and said goodbye to Hagrid, who had tears in his eyes. His expression was very much like a mother watching her child go away.

"Hermione, my God, you must be crazy. How could you possibly think of secretly writing a letter for help to Foley behind our backs." Ron covered his right hand and exclaimed softly as he walked. His finger was bitten by Norbert and was wrapped in gauze.

"I feel like tonight might be a trap." Harry said pessimistically, "We're going to mess everything up."

"But we have no other way, right?" Hermione whispered, "But we have an invisibility cloak. We can explore the situation first and then decide whether to reveal ourselves."

They walked up the long spiral staircase. Norbert in the crate was not very honest, so they were very tired.

Finally, they reached the top of the tower. They observed the surroundings calmly. Fortunately, Norbert became more honest at this time and made no more strange noises.

Brian stood quietly on the top of the tower, looking at the stars in the night sky. They seemed like sculptures that had existed here since ancient times. They were not obtrusive and blended perfectly with the environment.

Hermione looked at his figure and couldn't help but think that she might have never really understood him.

He was so close to her, yet so far away. Just like the mysterious and vast starry sky, people can't help but be attracted by its magic and explore its hidden secrets, but they can't help but feel their own insignificance and are afraid of uncovering the truth hidden under the loneliness and tenderness.

"What a strange man." Hermione thought to herself, but couldn't help but want to know more about him. She couldn't see through him.

Brian seemed to hear some movement. He turned his head and looked over with a slight smile on his lips.

The three people looked at each other under the invisibility cloak, and Harry took off the invisibility cloak.

"You guys came a little early, he hasn't come here yet." Brian smiled slightly, his voice was extremely soft, as if he was afraid of disturbing the tranquility of the night sky.

"Oh, okay." Harry was a little embarrassed, "Thank you, Foley."

"It doesn't matter. In fact, my father's friend also wants to study the fire dragon." Brian's smile became more obvious. "He has always wanted to find a fire dragon sample, but unfortunately he has never been able to get it."

"You mean, he will make Norbert into a specimen?" Hermione's eyes widened. Although she hated Norbert, she didn't want Hagrid to be sad either.

"No, I'll probably only collect some blood, scales and other samples." Brian put his hand on his chin and said, "But this process obviously won't make Norbert very happy."

Hermione and the three of them breathed a sigh of relief. That's totally fine.

"But he can't keep the fire dragon for long. After all, raising a fire dragon privately is illegal and very dangerous." Brian continued, "You'd better think of a more reliable way to deal with it, otherwise I believe he doesn't care about keeping the fire dragon." Make it into a specimen or something.”

"No, my brother Charlie is studying fire dragons in Romania. He can take it away. He will come over this Saturday." Ron said quickly.

"Very good, I'll give you an address. Just tell him to pick up the fire dragon there." Brian nodded.

They waited in the cold wind for a long time. Norbert knocked the box loudly and then saw a small black dot slowly flying over from the horizon.

The person who came was a tall and thin man, wearing a black wizard robe, with a bronze complexion and short black curly hair. He had a mustache and a weathered face.

"Uncle Wright, long time no see." Brian smiled.

"Ah, Brian, you have grown so tall." Wright straightened his robes that were ruffled by the wind and said, "The last time I saw you, you were still a little kid."

"Oh, what's in here is... the fire dragon?" He walked straight towards the crate and said in a low voice. His eyes were full of excitement and urgency.

"Yes, I have to trouble you to keep it for a few days. Someone will go to your place to take it away this Saturday." Brian said, "Please don't make it too miserable, okay?"

"Of course, of course, I will treat him well." Wright's eyes were full of greed.

"Brian, your life is really exciting." Wright patted the crate and said in an exaggerated tone, "Why didn't I meet a fire dragon in school when I was in school!"

He drew his wand and cast a spell on the box, making it light and airy. Then with another wave of the wand, a bundle of rope tied the box up.

"Okay, it's time for me to go. You guys have to go back early. It won't be fun if you are caught by the administrator." Wright tied the rope to his broomstick and said, "Excuse my eagerness, I can't wait." Go back and get close to this little guy."

"Of course, bye, Uncle Wright." Brian smiled and waved to him.

The three Harrys looked at the shadows that were gradually disappearing. They breathed a sigh of relief and silently wished Norbert good luck in their hearts. They finally got rid of the fire dragon that had tortured them for so long. Who cares what it would suffer?

"Okay, we should go back." Hermione smiled and tugged on Harry and Ron's robes and said, "Thank you this time. You have helped us a lot, Brian."

"It doesn't matter, friends should help each other, right?" Brian smiled gently and restrainedly.

Then he looked at Ron's right hand, which was wrapped in gauze, and there was a faint green glow there. He sincerely suggested: "Weasley, you'd better go to the school hospital. The dragon's teeth are poisonous."

"Okay, you go back first, I'll leave later." Brian continued, "Of course, please don't tell Draco about this, okay? I don't want him to know that I ruined his business again."

"Of course." Hermione nodded.

Watching the three people slowly walking away, Brian read the prompts in his mind and breathed a sigh of relief.

[Participate in the fire dragon event, witness points +0.3×2]

Well, now he has 0.9 witness points, which is really uncomfortable for OCD.

Brian planned to go back, but he saw something on the ground shimmering under the moonlight, like a puddle of water.

Harry and the others forgot their invisibility cloak here.
