Hogwarts: Wizards Supreme

Chapter 55 Sorting Ceremony

"Huh? That is?"

Theodore, who had been looking at the scenery outside the window, said in surprise.

He pointed one hand out of the car window with a look of astonishment on his face.

When Brian heard this, he looked outside and saw a green car flying in the air. With sharp eyes, he could also see a red-haired boy sitting in the driver's seat.

Luna and Ginny also looked outside. Luna pointed at the car in the sky, her light eyes widening.

Ginny exclaimed and leaned against the car window. She watched the car gradually rise and disappear into the clouds, muttering to herself: "Oh, no! How could... Oh my God..." Obviously, She recognized the car.

"Obviously, this should be a conspiracy of the Ministry of Magic." Luna quickly flipped through "The Quibbler" in her hand, turned to page 45, and looked at the contents.

"How did you say that?" Brian asked curiously.

"Cornelly Fudge is trying to use magic to transform items in the Muggle world, with the ultimate goal of occupying the Tower of London." Luna looked at the text in the magazine with a confident expression.

Brian was stunned, speechless.

"The people there seem to be a Weasley and Harry Potter?" Theodore asked in a questioning tone.

"Yes, you read that right." Brian twitched the corner of his mouth.

"Ha, as expected of Harry Potter, he even looks different when he goes to school." Theodore said with a touch of sarcasm in his tone, "Is there your brother in there? You should pray that he won't be expelled."

Ginny sobbed, covering her face and trembling.

"Well, maybe you can relax. The school will not expel the famous Harry Potter anyway, and neither will his friends." Theodore looked at Ginny who seemed to be crying, and his face looked a little unhappy. Natural and authentic.

"That stupid fool, he should be driven back!" Ginny put down the palms covering her face, her cheeks were red, and her eyes were filled with tears. She said angrily: "How could he? How dare he? His single-minded mind could not imagine the consequences of this?" At this time, she looked like an angry Mrs. Weasley.

Brian and Theodore looked at each other and wisely kept their mouths shut.

Luna blinked and covered her face with the magazine again.

The only sound in the carriage was Ginny's huffing and puffing.

"The train will arrive at Hogwarts in five minutes, please be ready." Such a voice echoed on the train.

Brian put the textbook in his hand into his bag and breathed a sigh of relief.

This train journey was not very pleasant, although it was interesting.

Ginny walked ahead and got off the train, and merged into the crowd of first years as Hagrid shouted "First years, follow me". Luna waved to them and walked over lightly.

Brian and Theodore walked towards the hundred carriages next to them. The four Dracos were standing next to the carriage, waving to them.

Brian looked at the creature in front of the carriage. It looked like a skinny black horse, with a head that looked like a dragon, and huge wings like a bat.

"Thestrals..." Brian murmured. Only those who have witnessed death can see them.

He wasn't surprised that he could see. Last semester, he witnessed Quirrell's death. Of course, he himself had experienced death once, and he thought that few people could be closer to death than he was.

"You mean these horses?" Theodore looked at them and said softly.

"You can also see them?" Brian raised his eyebrows slightly.

"What are you talking about?" Draco leaned over and asked.

"These horses, are they Thestrals?" Theodore pointed at them. He had heard of this magical creature.

"Where is the horse?" Draco said blankly, "There is nothing here!"

"Crabbe, Goyle, did you see anything?"

The two big men shook their heads blankly.

Draco looked at Blaise again, and he also shook his head, raised his head and said, "Okay, it's time for us to get in the car."

"Only those who have witnessed death can see them." Brian said softly. He reached out and touched the Thestral's wings. They were very hard and covered with a layer of short black hair. It turned to look at him, empty white eyes without pupils.

Theodore looked away with an expression of disgust. He climbed straight into the carriage.

"So, are there really horses pulling the cart?" Draco blinked, "Are you really not kidding me?"

"That's right, Draco." Brian said lazily, "Only honest people can see them."

"Honest?" Draco climbed into the carriage and said slowly, "That's a bad habit, Brian."

Brian also got on the carriage. He smiled softly and said, "Sometimes, your absurd reasoning sounds quite reasonable."

"Oh, that's the truth." Draco raised his chin.

Soon, the carriage started moving and sped towards the castle at a very fast speed.

The carriage jingled to a stop beside the stone steps of the castle gate. They stepped off the carriage, joined the crowd, passed through the castle's foyer, and entered the brightly lit auditorium.

The auditorium still looked familiar, with four long academic tables and a starry ceiling overhead. The little wizards sat excitedly at the dining table, greeting each other and chattering about interesting things about the holidays. Several silver-white ghosts floated among them.

Several people sat at the long Slytherin table, responding to the greetings of their classmates.

There were already professors sitting behind the faculty desk. Dumbledore had his hands crossed, his silver beard and half-moon glasses shone in the candlelight, and his expression looked a little solemn.

Gilderoy Lockhart was wearing an aqua robe, with a familiar shining smile on his face, as if he was ready to take photos from reporters at any time.

Brian found no trace of Snape and assumed he was looking for Harry.

Soon, the door to the hall opened, and Professor McGonagall led a group of first-year students in. They looked nervous. Professor McGonagall placed her Sorting Hat on the stool.

The noise in the auditorium gradually died down. The first-year students lined up in front of the staff table, waiting anxiously for their sorting.

The old and patched Sorting Hat opened its slit as wide as its mouth and sang loudly, with the same old content.

Brian thought the hat didn't sing very well.

After the hat finished singing, Professor McGonagall read out the list in her hand and began the sorting ceremony.

Halfway through, Brian saw a somewhat embarrassed Harry and Ron sneaking in, and then they were taken out by a sullen Snape.

"Look, what happened to Potter again!" Draco grinned and gloated, "So, he can kill himself without me having to do anything."

Brian nodded and quietly watched the sorting ceremony.

He saw that the thin boy Colin Creevey was sorted into Gryffindor, with an excited smile on his face.

Luna walked over with light steps. Her messy blond hair, beer cork necklace and radish-shaped earrings were very conspicuous, causing a burst of discussion and soft ridicule from below. The Sorting Hat pondered for a while and shouted: "Ravenclaw!"

The sorting continued until near the end, when Ginny ran up. The Sorting Hat shouted "Gryffindor" almost as soon as it touched her red hair.

Daphne whispered on the side that her sister would be of school age next year, and she really hoped that everything would go smoothly by then.

Finally, when the sorting ceremony was over, Professor McGonagall put away the sorting hat and walked aside. Professor Snape hurried over and said a few words to her, and she then left with a low expression on her face.

Dumbledore stood up with a smile on his face, and said in a loud voice: "Welcome our new students! And our old students, welcome back! Maybe you are not in the mood to listen to my speech now, so let's start our banquet directly!"

Platefuls of sumptuous dinner appeared on the table. The hungry little wizards all picked up their favorite food and ate it.

Brian saw Dumbledore hurriedly leave the table and walk out of the hall.

He picked up the knife and fork, cut off a piece of steak and put it in his mouth.

[Witness the branching ceremony, witness point +0.5]

Well, there are some rewards from the sorting ceremony, which is really good.

He was thinking about things calmly, while Draco was talking to Theodore about Harry.

"Haha, Potter and Weasley drove a flying car to school and they are going to be expelled!" Draco laughed, his voice carried far away.

Brian saw Hermione biting her lip with worry on her face at the long Gryffindor table, and many people were glaring at them.

Draco returned the look with triumph.

After dinner, everyone sang the school song together, Dumbledore came back and said some precautions, and the little wizards returned to their respective lounges.

They didn't have the intention to talk anymore, so they went back to their dormitories and fell asleep soon after.
