"I don't have any concrete information, Hermione. Of course, there may be some news worth noting, and that's what I need to pay attention to next."

Brian looked at the little witch in front of him quietly and said in a soft voice. There was no way he could really tell anything, it would only expose himself or get Draco's father into trouble.

"Are you trying to deal with me, Brian!" Hermione's lips trembled slightly, "Or do you mean you don't care at all? People like us can't affect you anyway? In your eyes, we are just What, huh? Mudblood?"

"Don't say that word, Hermione, you know I don't think so." Brian frowned.

He couldn't tell Hermione that she would be fine and that the basilisk wouldn't attack her.

"Okay, Brian." Hermione calmed down and said with a sullen face, "Sorry, I was a little excited just now and made it difficult for you...I, I'm leaving first."

She wiped her eyes, picked up the books on the desk and hurried out of the classroom.

Brian stood in the empty classroom, as numb as a statue.

Hermione ran back to the Gryffindor common room with her book in her arms, her eyes slightly red.

"What's wrong, Hermione?" Harry asked worriedly.

"Did Foley bully you?" Ron said angrily, "I'm going to teach him a lesson!"

"It's nothing," Hermione took a deep breath and said calmly, "Let's continue preparing the Polyjuice Potion. In tomorrow's Potions class, we have to take the opportunity to steal the potion ingredients."

"Didn't you say that Foley prepared a bottle of polyjuice potion?" Ron said.

"If it was stolen, any idiot would think of what it would be used for!" Hermione's eyes seemed to be looking at some kind of single-celled organism.

Brian walked out of the classroom and sighed softly.

The little witch decided that he knew something, and there was nothing she could do about it. Perhaps, some things will eventually drift away.

He walked aimlessly in the castle and somehow came to the corridor where Luna often stayed, and as expected saw her there.

Luna was fidgeting with a strange-looking pair of glasses and raised her head and smiled at him.

"Harassing flies, you are really favored by them." Her tone was like a dream.

"You said, if you have something very important to do, but you may lose a friendship, what would you do?" Brian said softly, looking at the sunset outside the window.

"Don't do it, or do it differently." Luna's tone was light, and her silver eyes looked at Brian dimly. "I always think friends are the most precious."

"What if this is really important?"

"Since it's very important, why not tell your friends? Your friends will understand you after all." Luna said.

"Really?" Brian sighed softly and stopped thinking about it.

"If there was something called 'death' in the castle, where do you think it would be?" he asked. He also tried to look for the so-called "death" these days, but didn't find it anywhere.

He even tried to find one in the Room of Requirement, but it was clear that the Room of Requirement wasn't really the one that provided the answer.

"Ghost?" Luna said lightly.

"No, it shouldn't be a ghost."

"Is that why you asked the ghost because you were looking for this?"

"Yes."

"Trying to let something guide you?" Luna tilted her head.

"Maybe I can try." Brian pondered. "I can look for the Thestrals and see if they can lead me to it."

"Are there any Thestrals in the school?" Luna's voice sounded like she was singing.

"There is a group in the Forbidden Forest." Brian nodded, "They will help pull the carriage."

"Do you want to see them?" Brian said.

"Okay, that will definitely be interesting." The little witch's smile was pure.

The number of young wizards coming and going in the corridor gradually became less and less. The two of them went to the kitchen first, then walked out of the castle quietly and walked through the grounds. Under the afterglow of the setting sun, the Forbidden Forest looked dark and gloomy.

The two of them didn't talk much. In fact, they didn't have much in common. Brian would have felt awkward in the past, but now he kind of likes this atmosphere.

"It's still very dangerous in the Forbidden Forest." Brian warned.

"Of course, I know." Luna said softly.

"Then you dare to come here with me?"

"I think since you invited me to come with you, you must be well prepared." Luna's voice blended into the light evening wind, making it seem even more erratic.

"Do you just believe me that much?" Brian said helplessly, "I am also a little wizard."

"Because you are my friend." Luna's shallow eyes opened wide, scanning the dark forest, "So I trust you."

Brian exhaled softly. He took out several bloody pieces of meat from the bag that they had just taken from the kitchen.

He waved his wand and a gust of breeze blew by, causing the smell of blood to spread further.

The smell of blood did not necessarily attract the Thestrals. Brian drove away a big bat and knocked out several silver wolves, and then he waited for two Thestrals.

Their huge bat-like wings were folded on both sides of their bodies, and on their dragon-like heads, their white eyes shone mysteriously.

Brian walked over with the piece of meat, gently patted the wings of one of the Thestrals, and handed the piece of meat to it. Watch it take the piece of meat into its mouth in one bite.

"Is this the Thestral?" Luna fed the other one and stretched out her hand to stroke the long mane on the back of its head.

"Yes, only people who have seen death can see them." Brian said, "So I think they may have some relationship with death."

"Of course, these Thestrals in the school are all domesticated and very docile. Wild Thestrals are very dangerous."

"Do you know where there is death in the castle?" Brian said in a gentle voice, stroking the Thestral's neck. He knew that this creature had considerable intelligence.

Yeqi blinked her shining white eyes, leaned down slightly, and let Brian climb up.

The two Thestrals ran extremely fast in the jungle. Luna sat on the back of the other one, holding its mane tightly with both hands, looking around with interest with her eyes wide open.

They looked at the carcasses of several animals, but apparently that wasn't what Brian was looking for. Then, the Thestral carried them across the field and flew around the castle. The howling wind blew past his ears, causing Brian to tighten his grip on the Thestral's mane.

The ancient castle was illuminated red by the setting sun and looked extremely magical. The Thestral flew around the castle a few times, eliciting exclamations from several young wizards, and then flew back to the edge of the Forbidden Forest and landed lightly on the ground, as if it was just carrying them to play for a while.

Brian was sure that they had been hovering outside the school hospital for a long time, and they might have noticed Creevey's condition.

Brian's Thestral licked the back of his hand and turned back to stare at him with white eyes for a long time. The two men slid off their backs and watched them slowly disappear into the jungle.

"What an interesting experience." Luna's long golden hair was blown even more messily by the wind, and she seemed to be in a good mood.

"Yes, although I didn't find what I was looking for." Brian said, feeling much better. "However, we were seen."

"Flying around the entire castle a few times on something invisible to others..." Brian shook his head, "Then it gets really annoying."

They made it back to the castle before nightfall. I have to say, the days without Filch watching were really nice.

Brian watched Luna's back disappear around the corner, turned around and walked down the stairs, back to the lounge.

"Brian, I saw you! You and the crazy girl!" Blaise waved at him, "How did you manage to fly in the air?"

Many people cast their eyes over and looked at him curiously.

"It's nothing, it's just the Thestral." Brian said.

"Okay, to be honest, your flying posture is so weird that it's embarrassing." Draco suppressed a smile, "If it were me, I would never fly like this in public."

"Did you see it too?" Brian raised his eyebrows. There shouldn't be that many people seeing it.

"Oh, Blaise took some photos for you." Draco drawled.

Only then did Brian realize that there were several photos on their table. In the photos, two people were flying in the air on black Pegasus, their hair and robes fluttering in the wind. If you ignore the Thestrals riding on them, their postures It does seem exaggerated and funny.

"Wait a minute," Brian looked at the photos intently, "Why did he take the photo of Thestrals?"

Thestrals have a quality that requires someone who has seen death to see them. Brian always thought they were just invisible, but people who met the conditions could see through that invisibility.

But after seeing the photo, Brian realized he was wrong. If he really followed his idea, Ye Qi should not be captured in the photo. Cameras should not be able to capture invisible things.

"So, the Thestral is not invisible." Brian murmured, "It exists there, but people turn a blind eye to it because it does not meet the conditions..."

"So, is the same thing true for 'death'?"

“It is always there, never hidden, but those who do not meet the conditions will never find it.”

"So, what would that be? Why Colin Creevey?"

"What's so special about him?"
