Chapter 100 Regulus’s Room

Dumbledore left No. 12 Grimmauld Place with the locket in his hand without stopping.

Only people were left looking at each other.

After learning about Regulus from Klee’s incision, Sirius lost interest in continuing to clean. He waved his hands half-heartedly:”That’s it for today. Sorry to bother you all.”

Then, Sirius Send the little wizards home and go to the fifth floor alone.

There are three rooms on the fifth floor, one of which is his own, the other is owned by his brother Regulus, and the last room in the corner belongs to his mother.

Sirius walked to the stairs and stood in front of a door.

There was a small sign on this door, and the paint underneath was deeply scratched. He stopped and looked at it carefully. It was an imposing little sign, with fortification handwriting written on it:

No entry without my express permission, Regulus Arcturus Black.

Sirius took a deep breath and finally pushed open the door.

Regulus’s bedroom was a little smaller than his, and Sirius stood in the doorway, using magic to open the far window. He looked around while waiting for the air to circulate in the room.

The decor of this bedroom is equally rich, with Slytherin’s silver and green everywhere, covering the bed, walls, and windows.

On the wall against the bed hung a giant rug depicting the Black family coat of arms and the French motto of eternal purity. There are many yellowed newspaper clippings and irregular collages stuck around.

It was all about Voldemort, and Sirius frowned. He still couldn’t imagine why his younger brother, who had crazily worshiped Voldemort, had such a big change.

Sirius walked towards the room, a small cloud of dust rising from the bedspread.

“Ahem,” the dust raised made him a little uncomfortable, so he took out his wand,”Clean it up!”

The magic brushed across the surface of the furniture, taking away all the thick dust covering it. Sirius then sat on the edge of the bed and carefully read Voldemort’s newspaper clippings on the wall.

He wanted to find out where Regulus changed his attitude. Reason.

The newspaper clippings on the wall are arranged in chronological order, and they are all reports from the Daily Prophet:

The first newspaper clipping: Unknown dark wizards are killing Muggles wantonly.

The second newspaper clipping: Those dark wizards call themselves death eaters The third clipping: Death Eaters, led by leader Voldemort, attacked and killed people everywhere.

The fourth clipping: Voldemort occupied Diagon Alley.

The fifth clipping: The Dark Lord is determined to overthrow the Ministry of Magic and establish a pure-blood regime.

Sixth Newspaper clipping: Magic is power! The supreme Dark Lord arrived at his loyal Ministry of Magic today

……

These newspaper clippings are a snapshot of the early days of the First Wizarding War.

At that time, Voldemort led the Death Eaters and dark creatures such as werewolves and giants to deliberately provoke war in the British Isles. He strives to overthrow the British Ministry of Magic’s regime in order to establish the supremacy of pure-bloodism, and all Muggles and mixed-bloods must be eliminated.

The two sides in this war: the Ministry of Magic and the Order of the Phoenix led by Dumbledore, and the Death Eaters and dark creatures led by Voldemort.

The First Wizarding War lasted for eleven years, with both sides fighting back and for

th, resulting in countless casualties. Even the British Ministry of Magic fell for a while. Fortunately, with the help of Dumbledore, they took it back from Voldemort.

The last newspaper clipping was from 1979, the year Regulus died.

Sirius didn’t find any useful clues, so he looked elsewhere.

Soon, he was drawn to a photo of a Hogwarts Quidditch team smiling and waving in the frame.

He moved closer and saw the snake-shaped pattern on the player’s chest, which was the Slytherin Quidditch team.

Sirius found Regulus at a glance. He was sitting in the middle of the front row. He had smooth black hair and a slightly arrogant expression on his face. He was the same as him, but smaller than him.

Sirius also remembered that Regulus held the Seeker position on the team.

After he was successfully elected as Seeker, he excitedly shared the news with them. After receiving the letter, his mother happily bought him a Nimbus 1800, which was the best broom at that time.

But now, the broomsticks have been upgraded to Nimbus 2001, but Regulus is stuck at 18 forever. Sirius looked at the smiling boy in the old photo blankly.

Sirius stood up and looked at the desk and bookshelf aside.

On the desk were an old quill, an old textbook that looked like it had been roughly turned over, and an inkwell, while all the Hogwarts textbooks were neatly placed on the bookshelf.

Nothing seems to be of value.

He lay on the ground and looked under the closet again, picked up a book on the shelf, and looked around for places where things might be hidden.

Looking through the whole house, Sirius couldn’t find anything hidden.

He then sat on the chair and looked through the notes in the old textbook on the desk.

Soon, he was shocked by what was written on one page. I saw that on that page, the space that should have been blank was written in intermittent black ink:

“……Kreacher was taken away……”This ink mark was a bit blurry, and Sirius could barely make out its contents. Regulus seemed to be crying when he wrote this sentence

“Kreacher is back… The Locket……”

“Eternal life…the glory of pure blood…ha……”

“……The Dark Lord deceived us……”

Regulus’ transformation seems to have started when Kreacher was taken away. When he learned that Voldemort wanted to kill Kreacher to keep it a secret, he finally realized Voldemort’s cruelty and violence and began to change his mind.

Sirius exhaled slowly. He never thought that the stupid brother he thought was brainwashed by pure-blood thoughts would care so much about a house elf, a house elf who in his opinion had a low status.

Perhaps, he was too proud.

Sirius’ face was gloomy and uncertain. He seemed to have never really understood his brother, and he had never let go of his superiority as a wizard.

After figuring out the reason for Regulus’s sexual transformation, he began to think about what the devil was hiding.

Can’t you make it clear? Sirius looked at Regulus’ straight handwriting and felt a little depressed.

Although Regulus wrote down the key word immortality, he scratched his head and couldn’t think of any magic or props related to immortality.

Could it be the elixir of life?

The clever Sirius thought of what happened at Hogwarts a while ago. Could it be that Voldemort hid a magic stone in the locket?

……

After the early morning of the next update, Kavin, some codes cannot be figured out.
