Chapter 456: The Path of Reincarnation: Origin

Behind the Buddha, three rounds of golden light shine, which is a symbol of the Buddha's complete merits and achievements.

However, upon closer inspection, this light is not naturally generated, but a round wheel made of wood.

This wooden round wheel has a unique design, with three circles inside and outside, one after another. The Sanskrit characters carved on it mean the inscrutableness of Buddhism.

On the top of the wooden round wheel, there are three wooden sculptures of Bodhisattva sitting cross-legged. They are Shuiyue Guanyin, Skanda Xianchu and Manjusri.

They sit peacefully on the lotus, each representing different Buddhist principles and wisdom.

In front of the round wheel, the face of the Buddha is particularly eye-catching.

He has yellow eyebrows and white beard, a fat face, and six scars on the top of his head.

His bare chest and breasts make him even more tolerant and compassionate.

The three strings of Bodhi seeds hanging around his neck were of different colors and shapes, polished until they were shiny.

But that's not all. The most shocking thing is the bag hanging on his waist.

This bag is made of silk and satin, inlaid with turquoise and coral, and six Buddha statues of different sizes are embroidered with gold and silver filaments.

The copper bell hanging from the tassel on the bag makes a crisp and sweet sound as the breeze blows.

But on the contrary, it makes people feel a kind of fear.

At this moment, more than a dozen black-clothed monks swept in. After hearing the words "Why don't you worship?", they instantly trembled and knelt down on the ground.

Their faces were full of fear, and they did not dare to look up. They just kept kowtowing, as terrified as lambs waiting to be slaughtered.

In this solemn Buddhist hall, the Buddha sitting on it suddenly spoke, and his voice sounded like it was coming from the sky: "Where are you going?"

A monk spoke tremblingly: "Back to your Majesty... I want to go west to seek the true scriptures."

Before his voice could even finish, the ground in the Buddhist hall suddenly opened a bloody mouth under the monk.

There was no sign of this crack, just like a sudden opening in the ground.

In an instant, a slimy and wet tentacle emerged from it, and the sharp fangs shone with a cold light.

The monk seemed to see the shadow of death, and was instantly involved in it. Hot blood immediately filled the entire Buddhist temple.

The rest of the monks, after seeing this scene, still did not dare to take any action.

They seemed to be shrouded in fear and did not dare to look up at the horrific scene. They were filled with doubts and fears, wondering whether they would suffer the same fate.

Although they have some cultivation skills, they are just the same four-level real people.

Under the pressure of such strong power, he couldn't even circulate the magic power in his body.

Let alone trying to escape.

The Buddha sitting on it suddenly burped.

A strong smell of blood spurted out of his mouth.

The Buddha was smiling, and there was an inexplicable evil in his eyes. He pointed at another monk and said, "Tell me."

As soon as the monk heard the Buddha's words, his body suddenly started to tremble, like fallen leaves in the autumn wind, shaking even more violently.

The speed of his kowtow increased instantly, and there were even blood marks on his forehead. He was already incontinent, and a foul-smelling liquid flowed out from under the monk's robe.

"This is a noble place in the West, how can you desecrate it with this filthy thing?" The Buddha did not pause, and pointed his finger at another monk again, and there was another smell of blood in the hall.

A hole opened in the ground again, and a creature with fangs and tentacles burst out, as if appreciating its own mischief.

The monk was so frightened that he peed like urine and disappeared in the hall in the blink of an eye.

The monk swallowed his saliva and said, "Your Majesty..." There was a hint of trembling and awe in his voice.

Although he was scared, his body did not shake as badly as other monks. He straightened his back, raised his head, and looked at the Buddha.

He swallowed and said, "Your Majesty..."

The Buddha seemed to feel lifeless and moved his hand directly to the other monk.

The monk was swallowed up in an instant and disappeared without a trace.

"Your Majesty..."

Seeing that the accomplices who came here were dying one after another, a monk finally saw some clues and said:

"Pay homage to my Buddha..."

But I never expected that even so, it would still be swallowed up.

Like a death talisman that constantly urges death, when this Buddha points to a monk, it will kill him instantly.

In an instant, only the last monk was left in the entire Buddhist temple.

Among the many monks, he has the lowest status, and there are even patches on the monk's robes he wears.

After being called upon, the monk was not in a hurry to speak. Instead, he stood up halfway, clasped his hands together, and then said, "My Buddha is compassionate."

When the Buddha in the temple heard this, the smile on his face instantly became brighter.

He did not disappear in an instant like those monks just now, but he was still kneeling here.

Xie Que finally figured out a little bit about it.

Those monks before, whether they regarded the Buddha in the temple as "the great king" or "my Buddha", were all because of their dishonesty.

And this monk's words and deeds were full of piety.

Even when he said "My Buddha is compassionate" just now, his face was still calm and his eyes were pious and cautious.

The monk kowtowed again respectfully and said again: "The young monks came from Dayu in the east. They traveled a long distance and came here specifically to ask for the true scriptures from my Buddha."

Although his voice was low, it was full of determination and piety.

The Buddha raised his head slightly, with a glimmer of interest in his eyes, and asked, "Why do you want the true scripture?"

The monk took a deep breath and replied cautiously: "Emperor Dayu issued an edict to destroy the Buddha, ordering all monasteries and nunneries in the country to be dissolved."

"However, this edict ignores the profundity and greatness of Buddhism, and is ignorant. Therefore, the young monk and the senior brothers decided to come, hoping that I, the Buddha, can give me the true scripture. If I can bring it back, it will surely influence the Emperor Yu. "

After hearing this, the Buddha suddenly laughed. His laughter was extremely crazy. While laughing, he asked again: "Where did you originally want to go?"

he asked. The monk replied: "Western Heaven, Daleiyin Temple."

The Buddha asked again: "Do you know the difference between the Small Leiyin Temple and the Big Leiyin Temple in my little Xitian?"

The monk thought for a moment, as if searching for the right words to describe his understanding.

After a moment, he kowtowed and said: "The so-called Mahayana Buddhism is also derived from Hinayana Buddhism."

"Then why does the Great Leiyin Temple have to be more respected than the Little Leiyin Temple?"

When the Buddha heard this, his laughter suddenly became more and more rampant.

"Since the young monk is seeking scriptures, what about the Small Leiyin Temple? Will the scriptures he obtains definitely not be as good as the Great Leiyin Temple?"

The monk's voice was full of longing for the unknown and piety of faith.

"Whether it's the Great Western Heaven, the Little Western Heaven, or the Great Leiyin Temple, as long as you have Buddha in your heart, where will the Buddha's Dharma not be boundless?"

The Buddha kept laughing, and even with his laughter, hundreds of thousands of thick tentacles inexplicably extended out of the entire temple, dancing continuously with his laughter.

"Okay!" The Buddha stopped laughing and opened his eyes to look at the monk: "In that case, I will give you the true scripture. Do you dare to take it?"

When the monk heard this, he buried his head deeply in the ground and said nothing.

The next moment, phantom light flowed in the Buddha's hand, and three volumes of gold-skinned Buddhist scriptures as thick as a palm were dropped in front of the monk's eyes.

"The first one is the Great Sumeru Zen Dharma of Space. If you can practice it, you can realize the gods and Buddhas."

"Secondly, you can take this hymn of Maitreya Bodhisattva's Bodhicitta and spread it throughout your life."

"Thirdly, the same is true when the World-Honored One rises and performs sutras."

Xie Que couldn't help but be surprised when he heard this.

From this point of view, it may be that the future Buddha wants to separate territories with the World Honored One and rule.

The content of "Praise to Maitreya Bodhisattva's Bodhicitta" is all about praising the merits of Maitreya Buddha.

The book "The Sutra on the Rise of the World-Honored One" is very different from ordinary Buddhist stories. The World-Honored One in it has completely become a villain.

It seems that he has become an unlucky ghost under the theory of karma, which is in sharp contrast to the image of the compassionate Buddha in other Buddhist stories.

The book uses the theory of karma to explain the disasters that the World Honored One encountered.

This makes people wonder: Since the World Honored One did not do any bad things, why did he suffer so much?

This must be explained by Buddhism’s own theory. This is the retribution of this world!

There are other parts of the book where the Lord is portrayed as someone who uses his followers to make money, be greedy and exploitative.

This way of portrayal is really vicious, using Buddhism's own theory to discredit the World Honored Buddha.

What is even more irrefutable is that the events recorded in the book actually happened.

In other words, there are true records in other Buddhist scriptures.

This greatly guarantees the authenticity of the book.

Even today's eminent monks and virtuous men would find it difficult to refute its contents.

This book also makes people think deeply, is the World Honored Buddha in Buddhist belief really as described in the book?

However, this scripture was completely banned by Samanas at the beginning of its creation.

After all, the content above is too slanderous for the World Honored One.

Xie Que also learned about the existence of such a scripture from the memory of Demon Buddha Jingxuan.

As for the so-called "Great Sumeru Zen Void Dharma" in the first volume, Xie Que guessed that it should be a Buddhist Dharma that integrates void.

The monk kowtowed his thanks and left.

The Buddha sitting on the platform turned into a blur of misshapen flesh and blood in the next moment.

The only thing that can be seen clearly is the ugly and ferocious face and the two yellow eyebrows.

Xie Que's thoughts moved, and his perspective followed the monk back to the so-called Dayu Dynasty.

Among them, Buddhism was indeed expelled from all directions as it said.

Fortunately, the emperor was kind and did not massacre. He only banned some stubborn monks from cultivating and sent them to the mines.

After the monk returned to Dayu, he did not practice cultivation first.

Instead, he changed his robes and began to smear Buddhism in a village.

And spread the stories in "The Sutra of the Awakening of the World Honored One".

This monk changed his name to "Mingxin".

He knows people's hearts well and knows what these villagers like.

With his good medical skills and his strategy of spreading money, he, an originally unknown monk, gained hundreds of followers in a short period of time.

He used the human heart as the script and faith as the fuel to set this originally barren village on fire.

However, the world is not entirely kind and harmonious. Mingxin did not choose to respond positively and communicate with some villagers who had doubts, but secretly sent people to kill them.

Although his methods were cruel, his followers interpreted his actions as "sacrifice for faith."

For a time, the village was filled with praises. All the common people heard was endless admiration and gratitude for him.

Time flies, time flies.

Mingxin's reputation gradually spread. He did not wear the skin of Buddhism, and his slanderous behavior against Buddhism did not attract official attention.

His followers began to increase in number like a spark igniting a prairie fire.

They believe that Mingxin is their savior and the incarnation of Buddha on earth.

They believed in the teachings of Mingxin, they followed in Mingxin's footsteps, and they placed all their hopes in him.

Finally, Mingxin decided that the time had come. He began to create a religion. He used Buddhism as the cornerstone and faith as the brick to construct his teachings.

It is known as the "Reincarnation Religion". In the future, the Holy King will come to save the world.

And Buddhism is just a branch of Reincarnationism.

The so-called World Honored One is nothing more than the evil thoughts of the Holy King.

When Xie Que saw this, he couldn't help but be stunned.

Seeing these very different but many different canons.

Isn’t this the path of reincarnation in the hereafter?

But Xie Que was also a little unsure and decided to read on.

Since Mingxin's missionary targets are all low-class people with little knowledge, there is no rebuttal voice.

After all, I am not a poor man, and these poor people did not have any extra money to go to temples to burn incense and worship Buddha.

These are exclusive activities for young ladies from wealthy families.

Mingxin, on the other hand, will sink.

Although the existence of the Pofo Order meant that there were no temples or nunneries in the entire Yu Dynasty.

But Buddhism had been popular in Dayu for who knows how many years before, and the number of believers accounted for the majority of the entire country.

If it weren't for the numerous geniuses of this generation in the Taoist sect, the Buddhist sect would never have ended up like this.

And Mingxin saw exactly this.

Everywhere Mingxin went, he would serve as a foundation for the poor people and start preaching.

Many of his subordinates benefited from him, and when they were sick, they were treated and they had no money to provide them with food.

Because of this, the power of the entire Rotation Sect began to spread rapidly like a snowball.

Since Mingxin only targeted a small location and did not even enter the county seat, Mingxin was able to preach for half a year without being discovered.

When Mingxin and the Rotation Sect under his command were discovered, Mingxin already had hundreds of thousands of followers.

And Mingxin claimed to be the Holy King Linchen. Under the worship of these people, Mingxin not only absorbed those beliefs, but his strength also continued to soar like a rocket.

After practicing the "Great Sumeru Zen Void Dharma" given by the Yellow-browed Buddha, I became the True King of Yangshen within half a year.

Faced with the attack by Dayu's court, Mingxin led his followers all the way south. Under constant burning, killing and looting, this motley army of believers actually relied on their faith to kill 30,000 Dayu's army.

Because of this, Emperor Dayu was furious and personally sent Taoist masters.
