Legendary FBI Detective

Chapter 14: outstanding

  Chapter 14 Outstanding People

On the first day of joining the No. 5 investigation team, Luo An did nothing, just sat at the desk and brushed the computer for a day, and then got off work at the end of the day.

At nine o'clock the next morning, Roan, who really had nothing to do, shook his head and saw Mona chatting on the Internet. Ryder was not in the office and he didn't know where he was. Only Lacey just woke up and was eating. So Roan moved the chair to Lacey's side and asked:

"Lacey, is this what we've been doing all week?"

"What's the meaning?"

Lacey just woke up and was still dazed. After hearing Roan's question, she reacted for a while before she understood what he meant, so she tilted her head and replied:

"Are you saying there's no work this week? Of course not."

Immediately after, Lacey turned around and muttered while eating:

“We haven’t worked for two months.”

   "What?"

Roan was stunned by Lacey's panting, and then hurriedly asked:

   "Why?"

"Because our No. 5 investigation team has just been established, no one has handed over the case to us."

Lacey finishes one bag of donuts and starts eating a second bag:

"That's not right. Three months ago, the New York Police Department did hand over several cases to our No. 5 investigation team, but we failed to solve the cases within the stipulated time, so the team leader, Vernis, withdrew the case and handed it over to us. Another investigation team."

  “.”

Roan fell silent, then raised his head and asked:

"Have other investigation teams solved those cases?"

Lacey nodded as a matter of course, and said:

   "It's broken."

  Roan: "."

Where the **** did I come to?

Seeing the distorted expression on Roan's face, Lacey patted him on the shoulder comfortingly and asked:

"Why do you think Augustus transferred you to the No. 5 investigation team?"

Roan already had the answer in his heart.

"Not only because you are handsome, but also because you can solve crimes."

  Roan: I knew it!

After finishing the second bag of donuts, Lacey began to unpack the third bag, and at the same time introduced the identities of the members of the No. 5 investigation team to Roan:

"Ryder is from the swat action team. His marksmanship, fighting, search and rescue, and weapons are all top-notch, but he can't solve the case."

  Roan: "."

"I, Lacey, came from the intelligence service. I am very good at scouting and undercover tracking. But I can't solve the case."

  Roan: "."

"The technicians sitting behind you are all old people who have worked in the FBI data room for several years. Asking them to find relevant information on suspects is definitely faster than any investigation team."

Roan's face became more and more weird: "But they won't solve the case."

   "Yeah."

Lacey patted Roan's shoulder with a serious expression:

"So we need someone who can lead us to solve the case."

Roan almost suffocated to death, took a deep breath before recovering:

Thinking of the best, at least this team needs me, and I am an indispensable member of this team.

But after thinking about it, Roan asked Lacey again:

"What about the team leader Augustus? Do you know what he did before?"

"of course I know."

   Lacey nodded and introduced:

"Augus was previously an administrator in the Criminal Justice Department."

Roan nodded and realized: "So Augustus can't solve the case."

"right."

After hearing all this news, Roan rubbed his chin and asked, "If there is no accident, if a case is handed over to our investigation team in the future, I will lead you to solve the case, right?"

Lacey pondered for two seconds, then nodded: "It should be."

Roan then asked: "Since I lead you to solve the case, what's the use of Augustus as the team leader? Wait for the case to be solved and then claim the credit?"

"of course not."

Hearing what Roan said, Lacey immediately widened her eyes and said to him seriously:

"Augus is responsible for taking the blame, and dealing with his superiors to resist thunder!"

"... Lacey, why were you transferred here."

   "Because I insulted the officer."

   "As expected of you."

Backing to his workstation, Roan looked around and saw Mona clapping her hands on the computer, as if she was invading some program, so she couldn't help but sighed: "Investigation Team No. 5 is truly outstanding."

  Papapa—

Just when Roan was thinking about whether he should leave the No. 5 investigation team for a few days and go out to do some private work to make money, the team leader Augustus walked to the front of the office area with a big belly, and said loudly:

"Attention everyone! This time, two cases have been handed over to our No. 5 investigation team! A missing and kidnapping case, and a serial murder case!"

In 2005, the United States had not popularized the big screens of later generations, so there were several large whiteboards standing in the front of the office area. Augustus took a whiteboard and began to write the tentative names of the two cases on it.

【Missing and Kidnapping Case of Rich Woman】【Serial Murder Case of Female Corpse in Lake】

Ryder returned to the office area and distributed the information to everyone, among which Roan's information is the most detailed.

  Roan: "."

Since there is a case, I have to read it. According to the urgency of the case, Roan began to check the first missing and kidnapping case, and the bear-like Ryder also began to introduce it to everyone:

"The victim's name is Sabina Card, 36 years old, disappeared from her villa in Connecticut. The time of the incident was probably between when she came home last night and eight o'clock this morning. His husband Da When Lun came back from a business trip, he found that someone broke into his home and his wife was missing, but her mobile phone and wallet were still left in the entrance hall."

Seeing that everyone had finished reading the information in their hands, Augustus tapped on the whiteboard to attract everyone's attention, with a serious expression:

"Until there is no further evidence, we have to speculate that she is still alive! The police at the Greenwich Police Station think this is a kidnapping, but this kind of thing is not very common on their side, so they chose to seek our help."

Greenwich Village, located on the Long Island Strait, is a satellite town of New York City and one of the most upscale areas near New York State, with a very high standard of living. Many celebrities, artists, and musicians have been born here.

Without waiting for everyone to ask their own questions, August took out a few more crime scene photos from a folder and pasted them on another whiteboard, saying at the same time:

"Serial murder is the unlawful killing of two or more victims in separate incidents by a criminal or criminals. At five o'clock this morning, a wild angler was in a lake on the border of New York and New Jersey, A female corpse was accidentally discovered, and the divers found three other female corpses after checking the bottom of the lake.

The first victim, Linda Chipo, married, 28 years old, was reported missing by her husband eight months ago, and was killed shortly after the forensic examination proved that she disappeared.

The second victim, Beatrice Leon, married, thirty-four years old, disappeared two months ago.

The third victim, Natalie Carlyle, married, twenty-five years old, disappeared a month ago

The fourth victim, Tamara Terry, married, thirty, disappeared two weeks ago."

Ask for a monthly pass! Ask for a monthly pass! Ask for a monthly pass!
