"What's wrong?" Parker asked immediately concerned.

"It's nothing." Bai Qingqing tightened her legs to prevent the thing from dripping on the animal skin mattress.

Parker felt that if he reached in, the heater in the bed would escape, so he didn't insist. He quickly washed the towel and handed it to Bai Qingqing.

After waiting for Bai Qingqing to wash and dress, Parker rubbed his shriveled belly, "I'm so hungry!"

In the cold season, males exercise less and have much less need for food. They can eat once every two or three days. Parker's last meal was two days ago. He exhausted his energy yesterday and was starving this morning.

"Then go hunting." Bai Qingqing opened the curtains, and fresh cold air rushed in. She closed her eyes and took a greedy deep breath. The next moment, she coughed twice because of the cold air.

Parker hugged Bai Qingqing from behind and patted Bai Qingqing's back to calm her down. "No, I'll cook food for you first and then go hunting."

Bai Qingqing looked back at Parker and said with a smile: "Okay, you can also eat a little before hunting, so as not to lose strength."

Parker felt sweet in his heart, picked up Bai Qingqing and walked out of the door.

A few days ago, Parker replaced the bacon with five cans of powdered salt, and the main house was clean and fresh again. Vincent sat by the fire and looked up at Bai Qingqing.

Bai Qingqing felt embarrassed when she saw Vincent and avoided Vincent's eyes.

Parker put Bai Qingqing next to the fire and said softly: "What do you want to eat?"

"Hmm..." Bai Qingqing pouted and pondered for a moment, then said: "I want to eat stewed chicken, ah, stewed short-winged bird."

"I'm going to kill the bird." Parker ran out quickly, so fast that his tail flew up behind him, and Bai Qingqing couldn't help laughing.

Glancing at Vincent aside from the corner of his eye, Bai Qingqing stopped laughing, pretended to cough twice, and said, "Did you sleep well yesterday?"

"Very good." Vincent replied immediately.

Bai Qingqing quietly breathed a sigh of relief. Vincent probably didn't hear anything he shouldn't have heard. The noise he and Parker made didn't seem to be very loud, so he couldn't hear anything in the main room.

Unexpectedly, Vincent's next words made Bai Qingqing fall from the clouds into hell.

"Your mating ended when it got dark, so you slept well." Vincent explained seriously.

Bai Qingqing kept breathing, her expression just frozen.

"Qingqing!" Parker's voice came from the bird shed, "Did you eat short-winged birds a few days ago?"

"No!" Bai Qingqing shouted outside the door.

"Weird." Parker knelt on the ground and sniffed, his face full of disgust.

Because of yesterday's mating, there was a lot of orc scent nearby. Parker snorted and rubbed his feet on the ground.

When Parker came back with the short-winged bird, Bai Qingqing asked, "What happened to the bird shed?"

"It seems that there is a missing bird. I must have remembered it wrong." Parker didn't care much about this and frowned: "The smell of orcs is all around my house. I will cover up their smell later."

Bai Qingqing was bored anyway, so she stood up, picked up the bamboo basket and walked out the door: "I'll go take a look and pick up the eggs by the way."

Vincent and Parker looked at each other. In the end, Parker stayed to cook, and Vincent got up and followed Bai Qingqing out.

After the short-winged bird is mature, it can basically lay an egg every two days. After snowfall, the output is less, but it can still lay an egg every three or four days. Twenty or thirty short-winged birds can produce forty or fifty eggs in a week.

Bai Qingqing entered the bird shed and first went to the bird's nest to look for eggs.
