Chapter 13: Ranger's Tree Cave House

The ranger has his own cabin deep in the dense forest. This is not the kind of building built with boards and stones, but is slowly created by modifying the direction of the growth of trees.

Keep going back, this house has existed two hundred years ago, but there was only one tree hole at that time. Now, with the growth of the trees, the original tree hole has been pushed to a height of 20 meters, which seriously affected the stability of the trees. So decades ago, the tree hole was smashed open and demolished, and it became an open observation platform that Zhao Mai now sees.

There are still three rooms that can be used. They belong to three generations of jungle rangers, each built in their own time. There is an unfinished tree hole under these three, which should be prepared for the next generation of rangers. Some purple-red vines climbed on the tree hole, emitting light fluorescence from time to time. Unlike the vines that absorb the nutrients of trees, the roots of the purple vines are stuck in the soil, and there is no sign of weakness, but like a chain pulled, the size of the tree hole is continuously expanded.

The gourd-shaped ranger tree is surrounded by a piece of grass, and only the grass can survive under the shadow of the huge canopy, and other trees can't grow at all. A group of rabbits were playing around here, and ran away when they saw Zhao Mai, and quickly got into hiding under the intricate rhizome of the ranger tree. A big white goose straightened its neck, flapped its wings fiercely, and squatted towards Zhao Mai.

Carl raised his foot and kicked the big goose aside. The goose blinked, knowing that he had completed the task, so he supported his fat belly with his wings, screamed again in demonstration, and twisted his body, like an ancient fat official, swaying to the trough to find something to eat .

Goose has a strong sense of territoriality, and is similar to a dog in terms of nursing homes. Hearing the chirping of geese, a gray-green head protruded from the tallest tree hole room.

This is a half-orc, the descendants of the orcs and other humanoid races. Whether with humans, elves, halflings, or dwarfs, beasts are born with half-orcs, which to some extent also shows that their bloodlines are strong. At present, only the dragonborn can suppress the bloodline of the orcs, and the offspring left will be half dragons. Dwarves...Have never heard of half-dwarfs, which also shows that their blood is as tough as their temperament.

This has to mention another race: Elves. The descendants of elves and humans are half-elves, but what about orcs? This is a taboo topic, and even the most gentle elves will get angry when they hear it. Zhao Mai discussed with a group of big-minded friends and thought that it was a half-orc rather than a half-elf that appeared in the end.

It is said that the orcs have been using this to prove that their blood is more noble than the elves. This is the root of the feud between the elves and the orcs.

More gossip, why do other races have a good attitude towards half-elves, but the elves are not good to them? Among them... it's good for everyone to understand. Even the "noble" race is useful for thinking in the lower body.

"Teacher, you are back!" The Orc screamed happily, and then jumped directly from the tree house that was nearly ten meters high. He adjusted his posture in mid-air, and landed firmly on the ground like a vigorous cat.

With a small head and a thick neck, his body hasn't swelled up yet, this is still an orc in his youth. He was wearing a leather skirt around his waist. In the process of jumping down, the things underneath swayed into Zhao Mai's line of sight, causing him to feel sick now.

"Solu." The old ranger pointed to the half orc and introduced it to Zhao Mai. "This is Mike. I picked it up from the lake. He is lost."

The orc opened his arms and hugged him. Muscles and muscle groups, such as the chest and biceps, worked together to squeeze out the air in Zhao Mai's lungs. Zhao Mai's eyes turned white and a scream of "Uh...er..." in his throat.

Fortunately, Soru just gave him a hug and released it. He immediately turned around and flipped through the bag behind Carl, taking out the wild boar legs and jumping happily.

Zhao Mai took a few deep breaths and adjusted his breathing. He vaguely saw a trace of cunning flashing under the half-orc's gray eyes just now, not knowing whether it was a simple joke or something else.

Karl put down his backpack, put his index and middle fingers in his mouth, and blew hard. The ranger hut immediately came alive, and dozens of various animals crawled out of hiding. Zhao Mai saw a python with a bucket thick enough to push the soil, swim silently behind the rabbit, and open its mouth in the blood basin.

Before he exclaimed, he saw the rabbit being thrown into the air and then being pulled aside by the python tail. The chubby gray rabbit flicked on the grass like a tennis ball, and grumbled out.

The python grinned, squeezed from side to side, and came straight to the front. Its eyes were docile and pleased, and it moved its head more than a foot away from Carl's palm, like a child waiting for praise from an adult.

The old ranger did not move, but continued to wait. Not long after, a bald yellow old dog walked out of the tree hole. UU reading www.uukanshu.com has a lame leg and blind in one eye. The oblique wound from the top of the head to the corner of the mouth has been around for many years, and it is obvious that this is the cause of blindness.

Behind it was a chubby puppy, striding to keep up with his short legs. The old dog looks like a golden retriever, but this puppy doesn't show its breed. It looks a bit like Akita and a little like Shiba Inu. It always opens its small mouth, trying to bite the only remaining hair on the old dog's bald tail.

Soru put down the pig's leg, walked two steps tightly, picked up the puppy, and wiped his face affectionately with it. The old dog stretched out his big tongue to lick his lips, spat at the python, and put his chin in Carl's palm.

It first enjoyed the caress of its owner, and then crawled to take a nap under the sun with satisfaction. The python hoped to enjoy a full body massage, but after the old ranger grabbed it by the neck and shook it a few times, he was satisfied, and "grandly" let out his position.

Karl pointed to the tree hole on the second floor, signaled that Zhao Mai could live there, and then led a group of chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits to inspect the yard. Soru threw the puppy on the ground, and yelled and followed.

The python tilted his head and looked at Zhao Mai, stretched his nose up and down and sniffed it carefully, seeming to be examining where it would be better to make a mouthful. Zhao Mai knew that the animals trained by the Ranger would not hurt people easily, so he could face it calmly without being frightened. Obviously, this kind of performance made the python very satisfied. He gently wiped Zhao Mai with his body and walked away on his own.

The puppy rolled over and fell at Zhao Mai’s feet. Looking at the little red tongue that it spit out, Zhao Mai held it in his arms with pity.

The python hissed twice and glanced back.
