The Dawn of the New World

Chapter 93 - Return Continued

"Oh shi-" his eyes constricted as whatever power that was holding him up disappeared and he fell straight down like a rock.

*Bam*

Although he was still a bit disoriented, he still managed to land on his feet without much trouble.

"W-Woah, why is it like this?!" he was so engrossed in his own body that he didn't even pay attention to the surroundings.

He jumped up and down without even putting in much strength and he still managed to jump more than three meters straight up.

"My entire body feels so light, it feels like I was in a swamp before and now my own body has no weight of its own at all," he mumbled while looking at his hands. Until he felt a cold breeze go by and looked up only to see hundreds of eyes looking back at him.

"What are yo-" as he was trying to get the sentence out, he looked down at his body and noticed that everything was...out for everyone to see.

"Aaah" with one hand covering the front and one his back, he ran to the side where there were some bushes and plants.

"The hell is going on?! Where am I? Who are you? What did you do to me!?! Don't tell me, my virg-" hao Xuan suddenly looked down at his private parts with a pitiful expression and fired one question after another.

"Shut the hell up, you damn pervert!" before he could finish, an extremely loud voice cut in from his left.

He turned around and saw a young girl of about 17-18 years of age pointing at him with a beet-red face. She had green hair and was dressed very formally.

"Who the hell wants your virginity! Put some clothes on and stop swinging that thing around!" she yelled while throwing him a robe.

Still not knowing what was going on, he put the robe on and awkwardly walked out from the bushes. Three high elders were still floating in mid-air, looking at him warily, while the old lady and the man that was sent flying into the wall both were out and looking at him with poisonous eyes.

"Kill this brat," the lady said once again while floating next to the others.

Hao Xuan got the shock of his life, "Why the hell are you trying to kill me? Is it because you don't want to leave any witnesses? Look, I don't care what you guys are into, but I don't want to be involved," he shouted while pointing at her.

"I just woke up here, naked, and now you're trying to kill me? Why? The hell did I do to you?" he asked when the lady didn't answer, trying to sound as logical as possible.

The lady still didn't answer immediately and just looked at him for a good 20 seconds before saying, "It's not what you did, but what you will do."

At this point, the Matriarch also floated up and stood between them. "Mother, there is nothing wrong with him. You can see he is fine and is not a danger to anyone. He is a member of the Red Legion, we CANNOT kill him lest we want to start a war with the kingdom of Mei."

The old lady frowned and looked at Hao Xuan once again, as did the other elders. "Fine, but he cannot stay here. Leave this place with haste and never return," she said while looking at the matriarch and then Hao Xuan.

With that, she turned around to leave when Hao Xuan spoke up angrily, "I don't want to be here anyway. God knows what you did to me, why would I stay with you people?!" he shouted and covered his chest with both hands like a young lady that was molested.

A visible vein could be seen throbbing on the side of the old lady's forehead. Thankfully, instead of lowering herself to his level, she quietly vanished from her spot along with the other elders.

"Everyone please disperse," the matriarch said with a smile and waved her hand. All the spectators bowed respectfully once and moved along. She then looked at Hao Xuan with a smile and nodded at him.

"Yun'er, take the young captain away and get him something appropriate to wear," she said awkwardly while looking at the princess. Hao Xuan was wearing the princess's night robe, which was much MUCH smaller and could barely cover half of his gigantic body.

He suddenly noticed that and closed his legs and pulled the robe to cover all the important bits.

"But mother, why do I have to? Let a servant take care of this mongrel!" the princess said pleadingly. But the matriarch only looked at her with a raised eyebrow and she shut up in a second, "L-Let's go," she said to Hao Xuan and walked away.

"O-Oh, yeah," Hao Xuan quickly bowed towards the Matriarch and followed after her while still trying to cover himself up.

She took him through several corridors until they finally reached a courtyard. There was a small hill in the garden with water flowing under it with many fishes moving around. The place wasn't that big but looked quite comfortable.

"Wait here," she said without turning around and went inside. Some clanking noises and muttering could be heard. "Why do I have to? Everyone always treats me like a slave, if I wasn't here, everything would stop."

Hao Xuan paid no attention to her whining and just enjoyed the scenery. With the many different flowers, insects, fishes, and other small rodents scurrying around, it really looked very natural and beautiful. He couldn't even tell this was all underground until he looked up and saw the lightstones.

"Come in," her voice came after a few minutes. He walked in and saw her standing in front of the door.

"I put some clothes in there, change," she said while pointing at another door behind her. Hao Xuan didn't say anything and walked in to see a kimono neatly put out on the bed.

"How the hell am I supposed to wear this? They don't have pants here?" he mumbled with a frown but still tried his best to put it on. Surprisingly, it was extremely comfortable and a perfect fit for him.

He walked out and saw her still standing there with an annoyed expression.

"Whose is this? How is it a perfect fit for me? Did you guys measure me while I was unconscious and made this beforehand?" he asked suspiciously.

He was expecting her to get angry and shout at him again but instead, there were some tears in her eyes. "Did I go too far?" he thought to himself.

"It was my father's. Return it before you leave," she said calmly and turned around, walking out of the house.

It was Hao Xuan's turn to be in an awkward position.

She led him back towards the area he had woken up at and through another corridor. A few minutes later they came out to an area that looked like a modern shopping market from the earth. There were hundreds of people here. All of them stopped and bowed respectfully wherever she passed-by.

They came to a stop outside a three-story building with a huge courtyard in front. Sounds of people fighting came from inside.

She opened the door and casually walked in without even knocking. Hao Xuan hesitated for a few seconds and then followed after. As soon as he entered, he saw dozens of people fighting.

"CAPTAIN!" a person shouted and everyone looked in their direction. These were the Mad Saints.

"CAPTAIN IS BACK! LIEUTENANT!" one of them went running into the building and not even five seconds later, Kuo, Hash, and Maddy came running out.

"Captain! You're safe!" Kuo shouted as he came running towards Hao Xuan and gave him a bear hug.

"Cough, Lieutenant....." Hash and Maddy who were standing behind him smiled looking at him and patted Kuo's shoulder, who suddenly regained his senses and saluted Hao Xuan, "Captain, it is nice to see you up and about."

"O-Oh," Hao Xuan, on the other hand, didn't remember being this close with Kuo but he didn't mind.

"Sorry to make you guys worry," he laughed while scratched his head.

"Meow" while they were talking, Hao Xuan heard a small voice and suddenly looked up to see Zhurong falling from the sky straight towards his face with a gleeful expression.

"What the fu-" he quickly jumped up and caught him.

"Meow Meow Meow Meow" Zhuroung couldn't stop talking and kept licking his face.

"Hahaha, sorry sorry," he lovingly patted his head, getting a deep purr in response.

"But where did you come from?" he mumbled and looked up and saw the four newbies standing on the roof. All of them looked cheerful other than Mia, who looked like she just got told she had cancer.

They were chatting happily until a voice interjected, "As you can see, he is fine. Tell the general we have held up our side of the deal, now it's his turn," the princess said unhappily and walked out. No one even noticed she was there until she talked.

"Y-Yes your Highness," Kuo said with a slight bow towards her retreating figure.

"And make this idiot in charge of the new city. We will deal with him directly," she turned around and pointed at Hao Xuan.

"E-Eh...?" everyone was speechless. Putting Hao Xuan in charge of an entire city, did the princess fall for him? They all looked at him and noticed the differences. He was more than two feet taller than before, even towering over Kuo, Hash, and Maddy. Plus his long hair with the muscular build was showing even through the loose kimono, giving a very mature vibe.

"H-Hey, was the captain always this good looking?" one of the female soldiers asked another while blushing.
