The Day of the Draw at Hogwarts

Vol 4 Chapter 37: Revisit Huck

Human-to-human relationships need to be maintained from time to time. A relationship that is not carefully maintained will only gradually change.

As Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Huck's relationship with him is still worthy of Tom's maintenance.

Tom glanced at the time and realized that he was passing by, just in time for afternoon tea in Downing Street.

"I'll go out first."

Without any hesitation, Tom immediately left the Granger's house and drove to No. 10 Downing Street.

Taxi drivers do not find it very strange, in fact, many tourists visit there every year. Of course, tourists generally can't walk to Gate 10, and can only visit Downing Street across the iron railings.

Tom was treated like a tourist.

A black guard with a Bobby helmet stood in front of Tom, "Hey, lad, this is not a place to hang out, you should be there."

He pointed to the iron railing not far away, "If you are here to take pictures, please stand behind the iron railing."

Here we have to praise Tom's personal image. After being admitted to Hogwarts and befriending Hermione, Tom greatly improved his quality of life and was no longer the poor little tramp. Now, he looks like a rich boy. He is well-dressed and handsome, and his first impression is very good.

So much so that the guards were very patient with him and did not raise any vigilance. As soon as his skin changed, Tom might now be surrounded by plainclothes police.

"I'm not a tourist, I'm an old friend of Mr. Harker and I want to see him."

Guard:  …

He glanced at Tom, and asked, "I'm sorry, sir, do you have an appointment?"

Tom:  …

"No……"

Before he looked for Huck, he was "teleported" directly to the balcony of his house. The too close relationship made him ignore Huck's current identity: Prime Minister of the British Empire.

"Then I'm sorry, I can't let you in."

"So how can I make an appointment?" Tom scratched his head, feeling that it would be more convenient for him to go directly to Huck's house?

Apparating directly into number 10? He doesn't dare, who knows what anti-theft mechanism is in here? Getting caught by then will be front-page news.

"Write a letter and wait for the process approval, or Mr. Bernard's approval," the guard explained to Tom very patiently. At the end, he glanced at Tom. "But since you are an old acquaintance of Mr. Huck, why don't you give him a personal phone call?"

Tom suddenly felt super embarrassed: what did he do when his brain was hot! This behavior is so stupid. Sure enough, his actions are still too unrestrained.

Tom still didn't understand that his behavior was not so much freedom, or that after he became a wizard, his mentality had undergone a subtle change-he didn't take the non-magical regime seriously.

This is the arrogance of the wizards in their bones. Regardless of pure blood, mixed blood and hemp, a wizard will have this kind of arrogance, because this kind of arrogance is contagious! Tom, a Muggle-born wizard, only spent a few years at Hogwarts, and his mentality changed unknowingly.

Tom suddenly remembered a sentence: Only women and villains are difficult to support, and they are not inferior if they are near, and resentment if they are far away. The relationship between myself and Huck is very "villain" now, and it's not bad if they are close!

"I'm sorry, I was reckless. I'll make an appointment on the phone with Mr. Harker." Tom was ashamed of what he had just done, and he decided to go home first and then find a way to get in touch with Harker.

The guard looked at this strange young man, and his heart moved slightly: he wouldn't really be Mr. Huck's acquaintance, would he?

"Cough, I can help you call Mr. Bernard." The guard changed his mind in just a few seconds and called Huck's secretary, Bernard.

At this point, Huck and Bernard are discussing a small matter.

It's really a small thing: a Scottish sheepdog strayed into a minefield. However, this incident attracted a lot of media attention.

It's really weird that something trivial has attracted so much attention, and one can't help but wonder: Does the British media have no other news to report? But for Huck, this is a good opportunity to increase his approval rate - as long as he orders the troops to be dispatched, the puppy can be rescued from the minefield.

"Yes, Prime Minister, this is indeed a good opportunity to boost approval ratings, but I must remind you that it will cost hundreds of thousands of pounds." Bernard is giving Harker an analysis of the pros and cons.

At this moment, the phone rang.

Bernard answered the phone and heard a report from the guard outside the door.

"Bernard, what happened?" Huck fiddled with his glasses, looking at his personal secretary.

"Uh, Prime Minister, there's a guy named Tom Yodell outside the tenth who wants to see you. He claims to be an old friend of yours."

Huck raised his eyebrows, "Ah, it's Tom, please come in!"

So a few minutes later, Tom was sitting at the Prime Minister's desk.

"So, what are you here for?" Huck looked at Tom after "inviting" his secretary out. He was also curious as to why this guest from the magical world suddenly became interested in coming to him today.

"Have you read today's news? Unknown wildfire in northern Scotland~www.wuxiamtl.com~ Tom decided to start with today's news.

"You mean the wildfire in northern Scotland that suddenly burned and then suddenly extinguished? I saw this, watching the news is a must for every prime minister - of course, this is not the same as the free time I have after becoming prime minister. Less relevant."

Harker is telling the truth, when he was minister he had to deal with boxes of papers every day, but as prime minister he has a lot less to do. More often he attends conferences, meets with leaders of various groups and promotes his own policies. Of course, there is also thinking about how to increase the approval rate.

"This fire is really strange, wait—" He raised his head and looked at Tom in surprise, "Is this fire related to wizards?"

"It didn't matter, or I let it go." Tom told Huck what had happened the night of the Quidditch World Cup.

"Are there any Muggle-hostile groups of wizards?" Huck almost jumped up in shock. "Then you... no, you're definitely not..."

He glanced around in fear, as if there was a dark wizard hiding in a corner of the office, always ready to jump out and take his life.

"Don't worry, the Ministry's job is to protect the Prime Minister." Tom's words reassured Huck.

But looking at Huck's expression, Tom still said: "The Ministry of Magic is not monitoring you, we just buried a hidden stake to make sure no dark wizards hurt you."

At this moment, the door of the office was suddenly pushed open.

"Sir Humphrey, you can't—" Bernard's voice came from behind the door, audibly trying to stop the man named Humphrey, but failing.
