The Evil God of Hogwarts

Chapter 388 The Road to Escape

Thomas is a professor here, so he is naturally familiar with the structure of the university. He led Xing Ze through various secluded paths, like a fish in the water.

"You seem to know the structure of the college quite well." Xing Ze couldn't help but praise him after walking across a small stone bridge covered with moss.

Thomas smiled hastily and turned to look behind him. He was obviously still worried about whether those people would catch up. After confirming that no one was there, he wiped the sweat from his head and slowed down his pace slightly.

"Sir, I don't know your name yet?"

"You'll know, but not now. How long until we get out of the Academy?"

"It's almost, it's almost. Go through the alley in front, and there is an abandoned iron gate over there." Thomas replied, "The lock is very rusty, we may be able to break it open."

This uncertain answer did not satisfy Xing Ze. He frowned and asked, "Maybe?"

"I don't know if the school has changed new locks recently. If so, we can climb out. The wall there is not too high."

"Well, you are indeed familiar with this, Mr. Thomas."

"Just call me Thomas. My uncle, he was a professor here. So, I often come to the college with him."

"Ah, Douglas Kimball." Xing Ze nodded.

Thomas paused for a moment, but quickly moved forward again, and he didn't say another word after that.

Not long after, the two came to the iron gate. Fortunately, the college did not replace the rusty door lock. Xing Ze stepped forward and kicked the door, causing the iron fence door to clang.

Seeing that the door was not kicked open, Xing Ze added another kick. With a louder sound, the iron doors opened on both sides. The two looked at each other and quickly walked out of the academy.

After walking on a small gravel road, Xing Ze found that they were on the banks of the Severn River. The calm river flowed slowly, catkins were blowing in the wind, and several fishermen were leisurely drinking beer and chatting on the shore in the afternoon.

The years are quiet and peaceful. Xing Ze sighed in his heart as he walked up to the anglers and asked, "Hey, friends, do you have a car?"

The few people turned their heads and looked over in confusion. They just felt funny about this stranger who suddenly appeared. One of them replied happily: "Are you crazy or drunk, kid?"

Five minutes later, Xing Ze drove the "borrowed" Jaguar SS100 on the road. Thomas, the co-pilot, looked away and sat upright. The furious car owner's curse was covered by the sound of the car's engine.

"We just robbed a car. Oh my God, if he called the police, we would be sent to the police station."

Xing Ze replied calmly: "No, it won't. Besides, we are borrowing it."

"Handing over the keys at gunpoint is not borrowing."

"Okay, Mr. Thomas, don't worry about these details. Just tell me, how did you go to the Invisible Sect?"

"It's a long story, where do I go now?"

"Go back to your uncle's house."

Xing Ze's answer shocked Thomas. He stretched out his hand to hold the car door and wailed: "No, no, don't go back, that place, that place..."

"I know that place is full of snake people, but I need to find a book. You know what I mean, right?"

"So...so who are you?" Thomas yelled, putting his hand on the door handle as if he was ready to jump out of the car at any moment.

"Teacher at Hogwarts, special detective at Scotland Yard, member of Lord Merlin, secret service wizard from the Round Table. Pick one you like, Mr. Thomas."

This series of names made Thomas feel dizzy, but after being stunned for a moment, he probably shouted as if he had caught something: "Hogwarts? Is it... is it that school in the magical world?"

"Oh, good. It seems that you know something about the wizarding world. But considering that your grandmother, Katie Kimball, is a wizard, this is not surprising."

The surprise on Thomas's face flashed, and he swallowed and said, "Then you must have found out that my grandfather came from the Hawkins family, and there is a terrible curse about the Hawkins family."

"It's just some superficial information. You have to tell me the details. Your family, the Snake Man's holy book, and your missing uncle Douglas."

"Although I'm not sure what your purpose is. But I have to remind you that my uncle Douglas is back."

"Huh? You mean Douglas is in Brichester?"

Thomas looked gloomy and continued: "Yes, he is back. That thing looks like my uncle, talks like my uncle, speaks and behaves like my uncle, but it is definitely not him."

After hearing this, Xing Ze thought about it in his mind for a while, and then replied: "I know that many curses can control people's minds, the most famous of which is the soul-stealing curse. I can't undo your uncle's curse. , but a friend of mine might."

"No, it's not a spell. I have some understanding of your spells. My grandmother left us a lot of books related to magic. I know my uncle. The man who came back and claimed to be Douglas is definitely not my uncle."

Thomas said it with certainty, as if the matter was irrefutable. The determined attitude could not help but shake Xing Ze's heart. If, as Thomas said, Douglas Kimball suddenly returned after missing for so long, and at this point in time, there are indeed many things to doubt.

It's just that I don't know how much of the information given by Jezebeth is true. If Voldemort has really been taught by the snake people, then the magic level of the snake people will not be too bad at least. But Jezebeth got this information from the Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange.

This is also the reason why Xing Ze saw through Jezebeth. Knowing the plot of the original novel, he understood that Bella was a fanatical believer of Voldemort. She had an admiring obsession with Voldemort and was also Voldemort's most loyal subordinate.

It's not surprising that Bella knew Voldemort's secret past, but she would never tell anyone else these secrets unless Jezebeth made a handsome deal with her. But Xing Ze couldn't think of any deal that could impress that crazy woman.

Then again, if there are really magic among the snake people, then it would be easy to control an ordinary person like Douglas. So Xing Ze still felt that Douglas was controlled by some kind of magic.

"I will keep an eye on Douglas. However, the purpose of my trip is for "Snake's Teeth", and I will not stop until I get that book."

"If that's the case." Thomas said softly, "The book is not in my uncle's house, so you don't have to bother looking for it."

The screeching sound of brakes sounded on the road, accompanied by the blaring horn of the car behind and the driver's curse, "Fuck, can you drive!"

Xing Ze pointed his middle finger at the car behind him, and then asked Thomas impatiently: "That book, where is it?"

Thank you for your patience. No recommendation tickets, monthly passes, or rewards are needed. I haven’t been able to ask for this after being out of action for so long, so I’m going to come back and write a less-than-perfect ending to the story.

So that's it.
