1342 (1) Second Store Upgrade Quest(10)

Chapter 1342: Second Store Upgrade Quest(10)

Sirish acted and punched. The opponent wanted to dodge it, but space seemed to have frozen for him, and he couldn't move.

The opponent's face turned pale as an instinctive fear gripped his heart as he looked at the cluster of deathly energy around the punch.

Boom!

An explosion like sound rang as the punch finally connected with its target.

Thud!

The next moment, the opponent crashed to the ground, creating a sound. Even though there was no hint of injury on the opponent's body despite getting punched, the enemy couldn't be any more dead.

The deathly energy in the punch didn't affect the body but the spirit.

Sirish's consciousness looked slightly frightened when he saw the outcome of the attack. The killing punch was effective, but the rate at which the soul of the opponent disintegrated into nothingness was a shocking sight.

The next moment, a white light covered him, and following that, he found his consciousness back inside the store. His eyes immediately went to the screen on the semi-pillar, and as soon as content appeared on it, it was permanently engraved into his mind.

[Skill: Reaper's Embrace

Level: God

Cultivator: Early to Peak Supreme God

Compatibility: 83%

Training Time: Seventy-eight thousand six hundred seventy-nine years.]

Sirish was surprised to find out that despite his compatibility being the highest with the skill, it took the longest amount of time for him to completely master it.

But when Sirish remembered how the skill played out in the experience session, he didn't find anything wrong with the long training time. At the same time, he also frowned since he was confident in himself to step into the Sacred Emperor in that amount of time. His confidence wasn't unplaced since he was one of the rare cultivators in the Sacred Dimension to step into the Sacred King level in only around a hundred years.

'No need to worry. The skill will be useful at that time as well,' Sirish thought in his heart since the cultivation art being for the Supreme God level didn't mean that its effects wouldn't be worth much when at higher cultivation levels.

Sirish then stopped thinking about other things and returned his focus to what was ahead of him. He then pulled out the skill card and left the queue to complete the purchase.

When he walked out of the room, there was already a small line of a few customers in front of Aakesh, so he joined it, waiting for his turn.

Laney gasped for breath as she sat down to recover her energy after the quest. Her expression didn't look good as there were numerous wounds spread across her body, and some of them weren't small injuries.

A group of seven people had come with her, but now there were only two left, and that included her.

Cry!

A man seemed to be crying, holding the hand of a woman. What was even more outrageous was that there was only the hand, and there was nothing else of the body left.

"Stop crying!" Laney suddenly yelled in frustration. The quest's difficulty had surpassed the worst-case scenario in Laney and the group's minds, so the casualties were severe.

The man stopped crying and looked at Laney with intense hostility.

"If it were not for you, she would have been with me." The man cried out and charged.

Laney felt rage bubbling in her heart since she was severely injured while helping the group, but here, the last survivor was blaming her for the tragedy.

Even though Laney felt angry, she could understand the man in front of her, so she didn't retaliate offensively and simply bound the man to the nearby tree.

"Do you want to keep crying or avenge your lover?" Laney suddenly said.

The man was trying to charge forward in anger, but he suddenly stopped struggling. Some sanity seemed to return to his eyes.

"How?" The man asked with a hoarse voice. Whenever he remembered the scene of the massacre, his body would begin trembling from fright.

The reason the man was even angrier and more frustrated was because his wife sacrificed herself so he could run away when the opposite should have happened.

"We will go back after we recover." Laney didn't speak much and closed her eyes. Her injuries were serious, and she was extremely tired, so she needed some rest to recover.

Laney also didn't want to go inside and fight the beast, but the scene in front of her had somehow infected her. There were also the leader's last words that made her make an illogical decision.

Around an hour ago,

"Leave with others; I will stop the beast until then." The leader called out to Laney and requested it since she was the strongest after him in the group.

Laney was taken aback by the man's sudden request. She instinctively responded, "If someone should stop the beast, it should be me. I have unlimited lives."

When the leader heard Laney's response, a gentle smile appeared on his face, and he said, "You are young and almost the same age as my daughter. I know you have unlimited lives, but how can I let you take that risk when I am here?"

"Even though you have unlimited lives, I am sure it would hurt," The leader added and then immediately charged at the beast.

Laney stood there frozen since when the man smiled, she seemed to see her father smiling at her.

"Senior, I want to complete the purchase," Sirish requested, passing the five skill cards to him.

Aakesh nodded and took the card from his hands. With a single glance, the purchase details appeared in his mind.

"You need to pay fifteen ultimate… supreme Sacred stones," Aakesh expressionlessly informed Sirish.

The next moment, an autonomous alert rang in Sirish's head, asking him whether he wanted to pay using the store card.

After he agreed to the payment, the amount was deducted, and soon after, an alert informing him of the successful payment rang in Aakesh's head.

"The skills are yours from now on…" Aakesh informed Sirish and also told him how to absorb the knowledge stored inside the card.
