Chapter 138 - Winner(2)

Chapter 138: Winner(2)

The slight touch of the opposing Tao of Chaotic Thunder caused a chain reaction and caused countless explosions, with every explosion causing more destruction than the last one.

When the explosions finally ended, nothing remained on the battleground, and it turned into a piece of the void.

The next moment, Timothy appeared on the platform. He was unconsciously lying on the platform because the explosion had resulted in complete extinction, including his soul and the Tao connected with him.

A blue light had surrounded him when he appeared on the platform. His body was still in repairing mode, and only his bones had appeared until now. His entire body got fully developed a few moments later, and the next moment he opened his eyes.

"I'm alive!" Timothy happily exclaimed, seeing him uninjured. The next moment, a disappointed expression appeared on his face as his cultivation had reduced back to Soul Formation.

The other participants in the crowd looked at him with shocked and horrified faces. They felt horrified because of the simple destruction he had caused on the battleground and were shocked because of the number floating above his head.

Since Timothy won the battle till the Tao Seed level, they expected his winnings to be eight, but a golden nine was floating above his head, signifying he had won nine battles.

Aakesh ignored the reaction of the crowd and asked Timothy, "Do you want to go in to fight since you have won this round?"

Timothy shook his head and responded, "It's alright. I'm fine with nine victories."

"You should attempt it. It would only benefit you even if you lose," George suggested to Timothy, seeing him refusing.

"Yes, you should at least get the feeling of Tao Palace," Evelyn chimed in and added.

"Thank you, seniors!" Timothy bowed and thanked George and Evelyn, hearing their suggestions. He then looked at Aakesh and said, "I would like to go in, store owner."

Aakesh nodded and gestured for him to enter the portal. Only a few moments had passed when he reappeared on the platform with only his head. The next moment, a blue light engulfed him, and soon he became the same as before entering the virtual portal.

In the Tao Palace, the Tao fruit turns into a Palace. Since Timothy only had one fruit in the Tao Manifestation level, so his Palace was only on one floor. But since his sole fruit connected him with a superior Tao, his one-floor Palace was taller than many three-floor Palaces of the average cultivator.

Timothy's clone also had the same Tao Palace, but it had insight into the level which he didn't have. He only won the last battle by luck because of the explosion. If explosions wouldn't have happened or Timothy wouldn't have gained such a destructive element of thunder, he would've lost the last fight.

Since he didn't know anything about the Tao Palace level, his clone killed him right after the battle started by directly cutting his head.

When he appeared on the platform, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry after getting defeated in less than a few seconds.

Aakesh ignored his reaction and announced, "The event is over!"

"After the event, four people had a similar number of victories, and only one can win the event," He added.

The four participants who had won nine victories stepped forward since they expected another round to happen between these fours, but what Aakesh said next made them stop.

"Since Timothy had the lowest cultivation between the group of victors, and he had won the most number of victories higher than his actual cultivation level, he would be the winner of the event," Aakesh announced.

George and Evelyn shook their heads disappointedly after hearing the announcement. Kuriati stayed expressionless, while Timothy became dumbstruck after hearing that he was the victor.

"Di...did I really w...win?" He asked. He couldn't even speak properly because his voice was trembling due to excitement.

"Yes, come here," Aakesh expressionlessly responded and gestured to him to come forward.

Aakesh then waved his hands and the Tiger got free from the bounds of the pressure and roared, but its roar came to a sudden halt as suddenly a strange stone appeared in its consciousness.

Before the Tiger could see what it was, it dissolved into its consciousness, and the next moment, the tiger fell asleep.

"Here, it's your reward," Aakesh said to Timothy as he pointed his hands at the unconscious Tiger.

Timothy nodded and then looked at the Tiger with shining eyes. The next moment, he fell down on his knees and knelt with his head on the ground in the direction of the Tiger.

"Please give me your divine blessings, O great beast!" He murmured, and the next moment, he chanted some mantras the people of their religion usually chanted for prayer.

He then stood up straight and thanked Aakesh for the Tiger. He wanted to ask why the Tiger was unconscious, but before he could ask the question, he felt a stare from behind.

He turned around and saw the Tiger staring at him with confused expressions in its eyes. Before he could make out the reason behind the expressions, the Tiger pounced on him.

Many in the crowd immediately closed their eyes, believing a catastrophe had occurred, but when they heard a laugh instead of a cry, they opened their eyes, dumbfounded expressions appeared on their faces.

The Tiger was licking Timothy's entire face with a tongue bigger than half of his body. The lick tickled him, so he couldn't stop himself from laughing.

Aakesh ignored their play and waved his hands. The next moment, all the participants standing on the platform appeared on their respective chairs.

Timothy also appeared, sitting on his chair, while the Tiger appeared, sitting on his lap with its size similar to an ordinary Tiger cub.

[Host, Darkness has arrived. It's time for you to close the store.]

Aakesh was going to announce the start of another event when he suddenly heard an alert from the system in his head.

He then looked at the crowd sitting for the event and found more than 350,000 people currently sitting on their chairs.

He then announced the end of today's events and left the platform. Disappointed expressions appeared on the crowd's faces as they wanted to see more. But since Aakesh had already left, they couldn't complain to anybody.

The people only needed to think of leaving from the chair, and they would appear outside the store, so in no time, the entire store turned empty.

After exciting, many groups in the crowd started discussing today's events.

"I wish I could've won the sword," One of the men told his friends. The sword George won was still clearly embedded in his memory.

"Haha. And I wish I could've gotten that Elf as my girlfriend," His friend replied in a mocking tone while laughing.

"With a face like yours you wish for the Elf," One of the men scoffed, hearing the group's conversation.

"You..." The man spun back fiercely to react, but his words got stuck in his throat when he noticed the man's size.

Many of those who had come late had disappointed expressions since they missed most of today's events. Even if they didn't win any rewards, watching such high-level fighting without paying a penny was already a great deal for many.

After every participant had left the store, Aakesh closed the door.

"1580 more left," He mumbled and then turned around as his room had appeared.
