Chapter 646: Reward

Aakesh left the altar with the wisp, while the creature looked at Aakesh's back with a mixture of anger and helplessness in its lowest pair of eyes.

"Here is your wisp," Aakesh expressionlessly stated and gave the wisp of faith energy to the parasite, excitedly looking at it.

The Anarchic Parasite didn't even wait for a moment and grabbed the wisp.

The next moment, it started laughing since it would be the first person in its clan to absorb the faith energy of an Emperor.

A few seconds later, the parasite stopped laughing since it was now time for it to absorb the faith energy and restore itself to its peak status.

The next moment, its single golden eye turned black, darker than the abyss, and soon an aura of chaos surrounded the creature, floating in the air.

It took Aakesh so much effort to bring the wisp out, but for the parasite, it weighed nothing. The parasite then muttered something not audible to Aakesh.

The next moment, the particles in the wisp of faith energy started scattering. They didn't go very far, but they began surrounding the parasite.

A few seconds later, a cocoon made up of white light, the size of a basketball, covered the parasite. It looked like a glowing sun. The light was so blinding that Aakesh had to close his eyes, and when he tried to sense what was going on, he failed to see what was going on.

Aakesh moved several hundreds of meters away from the place since the cocoon, instead of cracking, had started to expand and release an unprecedented amount of heat that could burn Aakesh's skin.

Aakesh only stopped moving when the ball stopped expanding, and he was out of its heat range.

Time flew by.

The process was neither long nor quick as it took for the cocoon made of white light to shrink back and then crack open for a short three minutes.

Aakesh still couldn't see the parasite as it had white light covering its entire body.

Aakesh didn't have to wait for long as the light receded shortly after, and the Anarchic Parasite presented itself to Aakesh.

The Anarchic Parasite looked the same as before, but if Aakesh were to very carefully look into its eye, he would see that the color was more intense this time.

"Thank you! If not for you, even I don't know, how long would it have taken me to reach this state," The parasite thanked Aakesh as it flew toward him.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded and then asked the parasite for his reward for successfully completing the quest.

The parasite didn't speak anything in response but only looked at Aakesh.

The next moment, a wave of mental pain attacked Aakesh. Its intensity released such an extent that Aakesh had to grab his head, but he didn't scream since it was like losing for him.

When the pain faded, Aakesh had a cold expression on his face, but soon it turned into one of a surprise after finding out a new piece of memory in his head.

"Hey, system, why didn't you stop the parasite from adding information to my head?" Aakesh didn't lose himself in excitement and asked the system since the piece of memory was directly imparted into his head, without the system even asking him.

[Host, the memory isn't harmful. The system would only act in Panagea for your safety if your soul is in danger.]

The next moment, the system's mechanical and emotionless voice rang inside Aakesh's head.

***

After conversing with the system for some time, Aakesh finally focused on the new piece of memory in his head.

What the Anarchic Parasite gave Aakesh wasn't any knowledge, but it was a skill and a Divine grade at that.

[Skill name: Space Displacement,

Grade: Divine,

Level: Level 4,

Requirement: Level 450+,

Details: The skill allows its owner to teleport to any space they know completely as long as it is in the total range of the skill,

Range: Hundred trillion lightyears,

Condition of growth: Exceed the range of teleportation, a Chaos stone, and the knowledge of the Level 5 Space Displacement.]

Aakesh looked at the details of the skill and couldn't help but nod in appreciation since this skill would come in handy even in the world outside Panagea.

Aakesh decided to hold his horses and ask the system first since there was a requirement of Level 450+ for using it in Panagea.

[Host, you can use the skill in the Primal dimension, but its range would lessen due to your low strength.]

The system responded, and Aakesh nodded. Aakesh didn't feel insulted when the system used the word low strength since he actually was very weak when compared with the Level 450+ creature in Panagea or the Multiverse.

Aakesh then looked toward the parasite, only to find that it was not there. Aakesh looked around only to find it nowhere.

Aakesh didn't think much of it since the parasite must have left after handing Aakesh his reward. Aakesh then focused on the screen that was still playing what was going on with Bella on the altar.

Unlike Aakesh, Bella didn't have that powerful mental strength or unlimited endurance, so she got tired of  fighting her inner voice and traveling continuously. At the moment, she was lying on the fifty-third step, based on what Aakesh remembered.

Aakesh could still see the number of plants, and each step had one unique plant of its own, so Aakesh made his conclusion based on that.

After resting for a few minutes, Bella stood up and took a step forward toward the next plant.

She would stop at every plant for some time since as the number of steps grew, the value of the plant increased with it, and at the same time, the intensity of the inner voices urging also multiplied.

"Ugh!"

Bella couldn't help but groan in frustration as there was still one more plant left before she would be able to leave the step and go forward.

"Take it out! It could help us become overlords!"

As usual, the inner voice appeared and urged Bella to take the plant out. For some reason, it had no uniqueness to it, and yet, Bella found herself uncontrollable. The next moment, she bent down and finally snapped it out.
