Chapter 900: Threat!

It didn't take long for Jemiah to return to the store, as the issue wasn't serious for someone of his level. Following him, Dandalia and a male Thorron, who had his head injured, also appeared in the store.

After leaving the store, Jemiah learned the actual content said by Dandalia, as she couldn't hide it for long before spouting it.

Dandalia, her parents, and her younger brother all managed the store on Seventeenth Street since they depended on the income it provided. Although they didn't lead luxurious lives, they could still be said to have had better-than-average lives.

While Dandalia's parents had saved a lot for the store, the father took a loan because they were still short on some money. As people said, taking a loan was easy, but paying it back wasn't.

The interest rate was twenty-five percent, so it didn't take long for the amount to double and then grow further at an outrageous rate. The family had already paid more than they had borrowed, but the amount in front of them didn't seem to come to an end.

Since the business was good, the family was able to pay the installments on time every month, but recently the trade had been in a slump for some reason, so the family got their installment late.

Paying late installments arrived with a warning, as goons came to the store and ransacked it. While breaking into the store, one of the female goons' eyes fell on Dandalia's younger brother. As a result, she became enchanted by him.

Then a predictable story followed, and the father became the damsel in distress. Since Dandalia had no idea what the female goon would do to her brother or what the other goons would do to the father, she had no choice but to turn to Aakesh for assistance.

For Jemiah, who was on the verge of breaking through to the Divine Lord, solving the issue wasn't any trouble. He didn't even need to sully his hands. Jemiah only released his cultivation pressure, and the goons began kneeling on the floor.

As for the installments, Jemiah didn't interfere since the family had borrowed loans; it was up to them to pay the total amount. Jemiah also warned the goons not to repeat this endeavor.

"Thank you for letting general Jemiah leave to help us," Dandalia thanked Aakesh as Jemiah told her that if Aakesh hadn't told him about his spot being safe, he wouldn't have come outside to help her.

The father also followed suit and bowed toward Aakesh. As one of the many who gloated when Garoun threatened everyone with consequences if they entered the store, fear could not be hidden from the man's eyes.

Aakesh only nodded in response to the bowing, unaware of the thoughts going on inside the man's head.

Dandalia then bought one body healing pill from the store. Spending ten lesser Sacred stones when there was a sword of debt floating over her head took some guts for Dandalia. But after seeing the injuries spread across her father's body, she paid the amount and took the pill from Aakesh's hands.

Dandalia's father felt a pang in his heart as he saw those ten stones go from his daughter's grasp, but at the same time, his heart also felt warm. He and his wife had taught their daughter the right things.

The pair of father and daughter hurried out of the store after Aakesh received a second bow from them.

After Dandalia left, Aakesh closed his eyes and began another of his relaxation sessions.

Time flew by, and hours passed in a flash.

The six hours for the third group of customers were over, so the system forced them out. With nothing more than a few seconds, all three grayed-out portals began shining with splendor.

The three customers meditating in the corner opened their eyes as they heard the sounds of people coming out of the portal room.

Since all three in the exiting group were generals, they nodded their heads in greeting and then left the store. The three remaining customers didn't waste any time and also rushed inside the room.

Soon after, the last six hours of the day for the store began. Aakesh had also opened his eyes once he heard the sound of the third group leaving the store, but he soon closed them as none of the three showed any interest in the other three products and left the store.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh was relaxing on his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from the store's entrance. As he opened his eyes and looked in that direction, he found a new customer entering the store.

"Hello, store owner!" Like every other customer, the newest entry in the store also greeted Aakesh.

"Oh, pills!" Before waiting for Aakesh's response, the customer exclaimed in surprise as his eyes fell on the pill counter.

"What types of pills are these?"

Aakesh didn't let the customer wait and soon introduced all five pills to the customer. The customer nodded after the introduction of each pill.

"Give me three of each!" The customer requested. Aakesh had already explained the limit on pill purchases.

Aakesh stood up from his chair, went to the counter, and took three pills of each category one by one.

After he had taken all the pills out, Aakesh pushed them toward the man and added, "You need to pay three hundred thirty lesser Sacred stones."

The customer nodded and then took out the required amount from his space ring. He then handed it to Aakesh.

After getting the pills, the customer seemed to be in a hurry as he placed the pill in his space ring and turned around to leave the store without asking about other store products.

Aakesh returned to his seat as he saw the man leaving the store, but the man suddenly stopped, turned around, and stated, "If these pills are as good as you say, then I will return tomorrow with new customers, but if the quality isn't satisfying, I will return with my guards to destroy this store."

After saying that, the man didn't wait for even a moment and hurriedly left the store. Aakesh closed his eyes, ignoring the threat in the man's voice.
