The First Store System

973 Husband and Wife!

Chapter 973: Husband and Wife!

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh was relaxing on his chair with his eyes closed when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store. Aakesh opened his eyes and turned around in that direction, and an unfamiliar face greeted his sight.

It wasn't a Thorron or Corron, but another Vurron group, Firorron. This group had the same features as other vurrons, but they had a pattern of a still fire engraved in the area between their brows.

The man had a surprised expression as he entered the store. His footsteps were steady at first, but as soon as he saw the indifferent eyes of the store owner, they slightly faltered. The man seemed to be calm and composed, so it didn't take long for him to regain his steps.

Aakesh didn't look at the man for long as he moved his eyes away. The man then began to look around the store, seeing what made it so special.

The man's name was Alaris, and he was the son-in-law of the city lord of Fire City.

The Fire city lord only had daughters, so the status of the son-in-law in the city was on the same footing as the son in other Vurron cities.

Alaris was traveling with his wife all across the five Vurron cities, celebrating his ten thousandth anniversary, when he heard about the store.

The store owner and his story interested Alaris so much that he immediately hurried to the store while his wife was still on her way toward the store.

"Hello, store owner," Alaris greeted Aakesh with a neutral tone. His cultivation was the late Divine Lord, while the store owner was only an early Divine Transformation, so that was the best way he could talk to the store owner.

Aakesh nodded in response to the man's greeting and waited for the man to ask about the store's products.

Alaris didn't know much about the store owner's personality since most of the storytellers were those who had heard the story of that day from others' mouths and were not there, so there were various illustrations of Aakesh's personality. Some deemed him demonic, some called him cold, and some even termed him a messiah, as he had killed those who troubled the people.

Alaris didn't mind Aakesh's silent response since he was one who didn't care about such things.

"I am Alaris Fireson..." Alaris then introduced himself and shared some basic information about himself. Fireson was the family name of the city lord.

As per usual, Aakesh answered, "I am Aakesh."

"What products are available in the store?" Alaris finally asked the question Aakesh had been waiting for since he came here.

"There are five products available in the store.

"First are pills. The store currently sells only Lesser and Higher level..."

"..., you can get the beast," Aakesh concluded the introduction of all five products available in the store.

Alaris had a shocked face as he heard about the products one after another. Especially, Panagea.

"Do you mean, we could even reach the rumored peak of the Sacred Dimension in Panagea and then we could exchange our cultivation just by paying money?' Alaric's eyes were wide open as he asked Aakesh.

"You can even reach the level of the third dimension if you have the ability," Aakesh indifferently responded.

"How much does it cost?" Alaris asked as he was immersed in its effect so much that he didn't even hear the cost.

"One entry costs five lesser Sacred stones, while every hour stay cost another five lesser stones, while you can stay at most for six hours," Aakesh answered.

"It's this cheap!" Alaris couldn't help but exclaim in astonishment.

"The store sets the price to be fair for both the customers and the store owner."

"Can I enter Panagea now?" Alaris asked as he wanted to see Panagea for himself before thinking about other store products.

"No, you'll have to wait for forty-seven minutes," Aakesh answered as all the virtual portals were filled at the moment.

***

Around a few minutes after Alaris entered the store, his wife also stepped inside, and she was clearly angry with Alaris.

Aakesh then saw the meek Alaris, as he didn't dare to look into his wife's eyes till she got her fill of reprimanding him for leaving so suddenly.

After that, Alaris introduced all five products to his wife, who made the same expression as he did when he heard about the products.

"Were you waiting for me to enter Panagea?" The wife's tone turned gentle as she asked.

She knew her husband's personality since he had been like this since he was young. Whenever he found something that felt interesting to him, he would ignore other people around him and completely immerse himself in it. So his not entering Panagea came surprising to her.

Alaris smiled wryly and told his wife about the waiting time. The gentle face turned into a scowl and she responded, "Why did I even expect it from you?"

Time flew by, and several hours passed in the blink of an eye.

There was around an hour left before the sunset when a door appeared out of nowhere in the store's hall, and soon Lily stepped out of it, in the midst of Aakesh introducing the store products. The sudden emergence surprised the new customer talking to Aakesh.

"A cat?" The man mumbled in surprise as he wasn't aware of the actual race of Lily.

Lily ignored the customer and jumped on Aakesh's head, waiting for the sunset.

"Store owner, what's the race of it?" The customer asked, clearly curious about it.

He believed the race to be high since someone like the store owner had it.

Aakesh ignored the man's question and began from where he had stopped the introduction.

The man smiled wryly, but didn't interrupt Aakesh and heard about the store's products.

Since there was less than an hour left before sunset, Aakesh informed the man about there not being a spot in the virtual portal, making the man disappointed.

"I'll go and check the Beast Summoner Device," The man respectfully informed Aakesh and then turned in the direction of the room.

The man had only taken a step forward when he suddenly stopped and turned around, "Can I summon a beast like her?"

The man truly liked Lily, so he wanted to know whether he could also have a beast like her or not.

Lilu frowned upon hearing the man's question, but since she didn't want Aakesh to reprimand her, she silently stayed.

"Not right now," Aakesh replied. Since the question was related to the store, he had to answer. Lily was no longer an Epochal Feline but a perfect hybrid, but since the system added Epochal Feline, he could get it.

The Epochal Felines were also a top-level race in the Multiverse since only one of them was born every Epoch, so it would be a long time before the system started selling them as beasts.

Aakesh had also asked the system about his bloodline, and at that time, the system clearly told him that his bloodline had nothing to do with beasts.

The man was disappointed upon hearing Aakesh. After hearing the product's introduction, the man had already decided to become a regular customer, so there will be chances in the future.

"Hmph, he wants an Epochal Feline," Lily ridiculed the man after he left.

Aakesh only smiled upon hearing Lily and began to play with her.

***

The man's name was Daryn, and since he came from a wealthy family from the capital of the Fawkes Kingdom, he chose to start from a beast of his level, the Divine Lord.

Daryn had decided to go for six summons, so when he reached the column, he took a deep breath and pushed the button.

The next moment, a square light covered one of the nine sections and began to rotate.

In no time, five seconds passed, and a beast never seen by Daryn appeared on the screen.

Soon after, a card appeared out of nowhere and flew into Daryn's hands.

An anticipated expression appeared on his face as he wanted to know what beast he summoned.
