There is Room For Abandoned Women In the 1980s

Chapter 347: Young man worships his aunt

Chapter 347 The young man worships his aunt

 “Auntie is great.”

Tie Zhui looked at his aunt with admiration. She was even more powerful than grandma. Grandma had to scold and hit others to frighten her opponents. She just talked and laughed and made the annoying grandma Wu speechless.

 “Work hard.”

Zheng Xinyue smiled, bent down and tickled the tip of his nose, and ordered him in a low voice.

“Okay, my aunt has asked me to do the work. Let’s spread out the herbs.”

Tiechui happily agreed and called his brothers and sisters to work together. The little guys' faces were as black as coal from the sun, but they were all strong and energetic.

 “I’ll go cook for you.”

Since she never went to the fields, Zheng Xinyue took on the job of cooking at noon. Gao Guilan tried to stop her several times but didn’t stop her, so she let her go. Zheng Xinyue worked so hard just to keep her family fed.

At noon, she boiled a pot of potatoes, made a pot of egg custard, and made egg drop soup. Half of the potatoes were mixed with miso and green onions and set aside to dry. She mashed the other half into a paste and mixed it with corn noodles. Together, fry potato tortillas in lard from wild boar fat.

After getting off work at noon, Gao Guilan took his two daughters-in-law home. When he entered, he smelled the aroma of pancakes all over the house. When he saw several little guys sniffing around the kitchen door, Gao Guilan's face sank and he began to curse.

“What are you doing? You ask your aunt to serve you every day and no one helps you. Do you have any conscience?”

“Mom, you’re back. I didn’t let them enter the kitchen. It wouldn’t help but would only cause trouble. I was afraid of oil splashing on them.”

Zheng Xinyue walked out of the kitchen carrying a bowl of fragrant potato and corn pancakes and explained to her mother with a smile.

“You, you know how to spoil them, who has such an old child who doesn’t help with the household chores?”

Gao Guilan glared at her daughter complainingly. She protected these children whenever she mentioned them, fearing that they would be spoiled by her.

"Haha, Mom, didn't you see the yard is full of herbs? The children dug them together with me. Aren't they helping me with the work? Wash your hands quickly. The food is ready. I also boiled the mung bean water and drank it. Reduce the heat."

Zheng Xinyue smiled and touched her mother with her elbow, and spoke to her coquettishly, while praising the children for their abilities.

“See how much your aunt protects you. When you grow up and become successful in the future, you must respect her.”

Gao Guilan had nothing to do with her coquettish daughter. No matter what she said, she had her own old ideas, so she simply gave orders to the children with a straight face.

“Hide your filial piety to your aunt.”

Tie Zhui raised his face and answered loudly. He was the first to express his loyalty. The child did not say this because he was afraid of his grandma. He loved his aunt from the bottom of his heart and regarded her as his closest relative.

What a good aunt, make good food for them, teach them to read and write, and tell a lot of good stories. The young man worships his aunt.

Other children also responded excitedly one by one: "Good girl, respect her."

“Okay, wash your hands and eat.”

Gao Guilan saw that the children really liked Zheng Xinyue, and she was also happy. Her face became better, her voice became less fierce, and she directed the children to wash their hands and prepare to eat.

“Xinyue, I’m very tired from gathering herbs. You’d better wait for me to come back to cook in the future?”

Li Xiuli came over and whispered that although the food cooked by Xinyue was delicious and she could fill her stomach, she still felt bad about sitting back and enjoying the results while letting her sick sister-in-law serve her.

“Sister-in-law, do you think my cooking is not delicious?”

Zheng Xinyue deliberately looked sad and whispered in the second sister-in-law's ear to ask her.

“Of course not, your cooking is so delicious. My second sister-in-law’s cooking can only be barely eaten, but your cooking skills are like those of a chef.”

Li Xiuli was afraid that her sister-in-law would misunderstand, so she quickly waved her hands to explain, but Li Xiuqin glared at her from behind.
