Chapter 2697: Big and small contradictions, benevolence, righteousness and etiquette

Chapter 2697 Big and small contradictions, benevolence, righteousness and etiquette

Wei Kang thinks he is pretty good.

It's like a bear kid thinks he's great.

The reason why a bear child is a bear child is not because the bear child does not know the truth, nor is it that the bear child does not understand right from wrong, but that the bear child likes to test on the edge, and then challenge everyone's bottom line again and again, in order to learn Raise your own status in the family and among the people around you.

This is actually the same as a dog trying to challenge the status of the family. If it cannot be effectively stopped at the beginning, then the dog will challenge again and again until it becomes the "leader" of the family.

In fact, most of the brats who run into trouble in the society have already obtained the position of "leader" through "challenge" in the family early on. A group of elders surround the brats, exempting them again and again with the excuse of "just a kid". One responsibility caused the bear kid to mistakenly think that he does not have to take any responsibility, and began to be dissatisfied with all the people in the family hanging around him, so the bear kid began to try to be social, among all the people he could come into contact with. To cause trouble is like a dog that **** and **** everywhere and barks at everyone.

Who can argue with a child?

Then female boxing came, and quietly added the word "female" in front of the child...

  Cough cough.

But what bear children will never understand is that it is impossible for society to be as tolerant as in a family. At home, even if the parents are fierce and scolding, they are still parents. In society, not everyone is a bear child. parents…

For example, Wei Duan had a strict order before, prohibiting Wei Kang from sneaking back to Chang'an, but this time, Wei Kang still sneaked back.

Violating his father's order is not a big deal in Wei Kang's view.

At worst, I will be scolded again...

If you are in trouble, if you really can't do it, you will be beaten up, and that's about it.

If it doesn’t work, just two meals?

As for the issue of heirs, although it is indeed terrible, Wei Kang pondered, it is impossible.

Although Wei Duan said that if Wei Kang made any mistakes again, he would revoke the position of Wei Kang's heir, but if this heir is not given to Wei Kang, who can he give it to? Is it possible to give it to the disabled at home? Doesn't this become the laughing stock of the Chang'an gentry? Wei Kang can be shameless, but he feels that his father is shameless, so he can always take advantage of the shameless thinking about the shameless.

What's more, Wei Kang feels that what he is doing now is extremely correct!

Qiao is not a good person? No, Qiao is not only conniving at the misdeeds of his people in Sichuan and Shu, but also arrogant and domineering in the Wufang God Dojo. There are even rumors that he privately tortured people to death in the Dojo without proper means.

So, can such a person become a representative of the scriptures? If it was discovered and exposed after the scriptures were passed on, wouldn't it be embarrassing for the hussars, thinking about what the hussars wanted, taking the initiative to share the worries of the hussars, wouldn't it be wrong?

Wei Kang looked through the relevant materials delivered by the intermediary messenger and was very satisfied.

But satisfaction is all satisfaction, it still seems a little meaningless to beat Qiao Bing to death with a stick.

Sometimes, laws and regulations, no matter which feudal dynasty it is, are downward, that is, they are used to regulate the bottom. As for the middle and upper feudal officials, they are not very applicable in most cases. For example, if an official who is so small that he hits an ordinary pedestrian while drinking and riding a horse, he will be given three days to see if the official can solve the problem by himself. If it is solved, nothing will happen. to be dealt with in the law.

The problem of merging is the same.

   Qiao and have a problem?

Have.

But there are too many officials with problems...

Among the feudal dynasties, how many officials dare to pat their chests and say loudly that they have no problems at all? The benefits of not eating an extra meal, not getting an extra penny?

And in many cases, because the people's wisdom is not developed, there are some things that cannot be reasoned with ordinary people.

For example, building roads and opening mountains, some people said that I have a grave here. Then he said that he would give a subsidy, one hundred, and go to relocate the grave. Then some people feel that since they are willing to give one hundred, they can give one thousand. So I repented and said that it would cost a thousand. Then he said that he wanted to negotiate. When individual people heard that it was possible to negotiate, they felt that they wanted less. Since one thousand can be negotiated, then ten thousand, one hundred thousand, one million, ten million, or even hundreds of millions can also be negotiated. ?

Of course, there are also some officials who feel that there may be some ordinary people who can’t make sense anyway, so they don’t even bother to talk about those who can make sense at the beginning, and use the strongest methods when they come up.

Time is tight, tasks are heavy, and layers are layered on top of each other. The higher-level map saves trouble, and the lower-level naturally saves trouble.

If it is serious, which of the officials in these feudal dynasties has clean hands?

The positions of the buttocks are different, and the viewing angles are also different.

So if Wei Kang said to rely on these material evidences, he might not be able to achieve the effect Wei Kang wanted to achieve.

Wei Kang wanted to make Qiao fall down, and he wanted to collapse very quickly before the scripture ceremony, not just stumbled.

Only in this way can Wei Kang have a chance to become the new religious leader...

Wei Kang put down the evidence in his hand, closed his eyes and began to calculate.

If Qiao falls together, then in the Wufang God Dojo, the upper and lower will be involved, not to mention those deputy positions who are deeply involved with Qiao, those who can stand up in the dojo to make up for the vacancy caused by the ceremony , I am afraid there are not many.

Among the three assistants in Chang'an, how many can take over the banner of Tao Te Ching after Qiao Bing fell?

In fact, there are quite a few people who are proficient in the Tao Te Ching, but they are either too old or have a high position, so Wei Kang believes that this is the best opportunity!

Compared with those people, naturally the biggest advantage is that I am young.

After all, who would have trouble with a kid?

Wei Kang chuckled, like a brat who was expecting the prank to succeed soon.

Therefore, if Wei Kang wants to make Qiao Bing fall just right, he should add a fire to these materials.

The so-called people do not raise officials and do not investigate, so now the problem is, how to find this person, and how to make such a move just right...

  …( ̄_, ̄)…

Without Butcher Zhang, do we have to eat hairy pigs?

Can I still find Butcher Chen?

Even Butcher Chen is a part-time job...

Seeing that the situation was not good, Zhang Shi ran away. Based on the clues left by Zhang Shi, Wei Kang secretly found Chen Ming, the Taoist priest who had been tricked and made things difficult for him.

The matter of Chen Ming being tricked and made things difficult for him is big and small.

After all, there have been many such things throughout the ages, so many that they are even a bit accustomed to it.

In Qiao Bing's heart, what he did was not "making things difficult", but declaring the sovereignty of the territory, just like a tiger or a leopard, or a dog peeing with its legs crossed, so Qiao Bing didn't think it was a big deal things, and in many ways as a leader. Choose someone who is older, and have fun with the old and the young, and then improve yourself by suppressing the other party.

After all, if Chen Ming couldn't bear it, he should just get out.

Qiao didn't mean to let Chen Ming stay in the Wufang God Dojo all his life, but he gave Chen Ming the right to choose. Even though Qiao didn't know that Chen Ming had been a Taoist priest for so long, he didn't know much about other ways of survival. This so-called option to quit was actually almost non-existent.

Therefore, Qiao didn't feel that Chen Ming had only one choice, which was to be patient.

The fact is indeed the case.

Chen Ming did not resist, but endured silently.

However, what Qiao is not clear about is that being silent does not mean that the person agrees, and not speaking does not mean agreeing, but as the leader of the Wufang God Dojo, he has become accustomed to thinking that others' silence means acquiescence and approval.

Wei Kang approached Chen Ming, and Chen Ming was very moved, but Chen Ming still had doubts. He thought that Wei Kang would not be able to defeat Qiao, so he refused to stand up to testify, but Wei Kang was confident, He lightly asked Chen Ming to go back and wait, saying that a turning point was about to appear...

Chen Ming was skeptical, but for him, if Wei Kang was really able to overthrow Qiao Bing, he didn't mind chasing and beating the dog in the water, he jumped up and kicked Qiao Bing, and then hit a few stones.

  Everything seems to be calm...

On the other side, although Qiao Bing himself knew about some of the family affairs, um, only a part of them, until now, Qiao Bing still thinks that the things in his family have not exploded, and he still has a fluke mentality. Perhaps it was under the influence of this kind of fluke mentality that Qiao Bing even showed more diligence than usual. These days, he has worked tirelessly and spared no effort to give advice on the matter of teaching the scriptures. Get everything done properly.

Among these things, the most important thing is to find suitable sentences from the Tao Te Ching and turn them into proper rituals...

This is actually a bit troublesome.

Qiao didn’t find it troublesome because Lao Tzu’s core concepts and the Confucian faction that advocated etiquette were somewhat contradictory.

It is necessary to inseminate with a grand ceremony like "Da Ceremony", bah, teaching scriptures, in fact, it is somewhat contrary to Lao Tzu's original intention.

China is the earliest, almost open.

Many people think that the social ideal of utopia is a western trend of thought, but in fact, Lao Tzu put forward this point very early on. Lao Tzu believes that the highest state of society is that all people are "virtuous". The so-called superior virtue naturally means that there is no selfish desire, everything is for the public, for all people. From a certain point of view, this is actually very similar to Utopia.

Therefore, what is very interesting is that in fact, when Huaxia was in the schools of thought, many ideas had already sprouted, such as Laozi, Confucius, Mozi, etc., Huaxia seemed to have opened up at that time, standing in advance with countless forks. intersection...

So much so that the ruling class at that time had too many choices, resulting in various choice syndromes.

Lao Tzu’s way is too difficult, Confucius’ way is too hard, Mozi’s way is too poor…

Picking and picking, the Seven Kingdoms looked at themselves and others, and then tentatively went their own way.

There is a system, there are plug-ins, after all, people still need to use it, right?

   And there are pig teammates.

Obviously here is a big kill, and there is a big Song Te Song...

It's like Qiao Bing, who worked very hard to find the etiquette norms that are in line with the present from the Tao Te Ching, and confirmed its correctness from the Book of Songs and the Analects of Confucius, but the pig teammates at home have already Started sending heads.

While in Chang'an, Qiao Bing was still trying to push the tower while holding his breath.

To combine the Tao Te Ching and the ancient rites to formulate the "Ceremony of Teaching the Classics", there are two towers that must be toppled, one is Lao Tzu's and the other is Confucius.

In Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching", "Li" is relatively belittled, which is very different from Confucius' Confucianism's praise of "Li".

Of course, this may be because the "Tao Te Ching" talks about morality, while Confucius talks more about "benevolence and ritual".

Confucius believed that among the "Tao, Virtue, Benevolence, Righteousness, and Propriety", the most important ones were the "Ritual and Music System" and "Ritual and Music Concept". Confucius also made the most efforts in these two aspects, and it became the core concept representing his ideological system.

Ritual and music culture is dominated by rituals and supplemented by music. It evolved from the Zhou Dynasty and the patriarchal culture of the tribe. and moral law.

As the Zhou people entered the slavery society, the original equal and democratic factors in the Zhou rituals gradually weakened, while the content of the hierarchy continued to strengthen, but one thing was consistent, that is, the ties of blood ties continued, and the family organization and social political organization were integrated. After King Wu destroyed Shang, Zhou became the "co-lord of the world". In order to rule the vast Yellow River and Huaihe River basins, the Duke of Zhou carried out some reforms on Zhou Rites, which is called "making rituals and making music". The change.

  So "li" is wrong?

Not really, at least not on a simple basis of right and wrong.

Lao Tzu said that there is no need for etiquette, because etiquette is for downward, but for morality.

Confucius said that everyone must be polite, and there must be rules.

Confucian etiquette has two important principles, one is respect. It is to divide people into many classes, to maintain the respect of the lowly for the noble, and to recognize the privileges of the nobility.

Zunzun is first of all Zunjun.

Another important principle is kinship, that is, love for relatives, which includes father's kindness, son's filial piety, brothers' friendship and respect.

According to the principle of kinship, the interests of the family are paramount, and relatives who violate the laws of the country should conceal them rather than report them. "The father conceals himself from the son, and the son conceals himself from the father, and this is right in it." 』

As for "rituals", there were subsequent additions, which gradually became a kind of ritual system and ritual law formulated and promoted by the ruling class representing the interests of the ruling class, that is, the legal system.

Because the ruling class in a private ownership society is superior and only cares about the interests of its own class, the etiquette laws enacted first protect private ownership and royal rule. Therefore, it is often harmful to the broad masses of working people, and of course it also has some binding force on the people of the aristocratic class who want to destroy and overthrow this kind of etiquette.

It is undeniable that "rituals" also have some content and norms to regulate civil disputes, and they are implemented by means of state violence agencies. However, people of various social classes compete for self-interest, and they will naturally try to use this etiquette. Or avoid this kind of etiquette, and there will be endless incidents of violations of etiquette.

Lao Tzu said, "If you don't respond to the gift, then throw your arms and throw it away." 』

So, Lao Tzu does not like "rituals", he prefers "morality".

Go up the way, go up to virtue.

  Is goodness like water?

Benevolence, righteousness and etiquette are all subordinates.

Tao, relatively speaking, is the "pursuit", the best ideal, and virtue is the concept that everyone should abide by.

  Lao Tzu's way is "morality".

Lao Tzu believes that in ancient times, when there was virtue, people could consciously do things that benefit the society. Later, the society improved in name, with more people and alliances, and more productive forces.

If you shout too much, no one will listen.

So I just "throw it away".

These two seem to be going in completely different directions, as if two contradictory sides are at the same place, which makes Qiao who is caught in the middle very painful. If you don't care about it at all, and do it casually, such as making an altar, planting four flags, etc., then what should you do? Find a craftsman, maybe the ground of the steps of the altar is made straighter than Qiao Bing.

Qiao did not want to find a theory to support the grand ceremony, just like the great theory of the Qinglong Temple, it has a height, and this height can ensure that he will not lose the right to speak in the grand ceremony and be easily replaced by others.

It has to be said that Qiao Bing is not completely incompetent. After thinking hard for several days, he suddenly burst into laughter, because Qiao Bing suddenly saw a sentence, "The way is governed by the law, and the people are free from punishment." And shameless; Dao is based on virtue, and etiquette is based on etiquette, shame and integrity"...

『It’s done! ’ Qiao danced with his hands and feet, ‘If you are not virtuous at the top, you are virtuous; if you are not virtuous, you are not virtuous! This is intercommunication! The original meaning is also! Morality, benevolence, righteousness and etiquette are actually the same! 』

Qiao laughed loudly, and then greeted, asking people to hurry up and make two long banners, that is, to write the ten characters "morality, benevolence, righteousness, and etiquette, in fact, the same", and then use it as the core element of the entire scripture teaching ceremony.

Qiao is not capable, but it does not mean that he has a good character.

Just like the words of Lao Tzu and Confucius, it is precisely because of the lack that there is a special need.

This is like a contradiction, conflicting all the time.

The same is true for Qiao Bin, he said every day to be kind, to cultivate virtue, to worship the gods of the five directions, and to cultivate good fruits in this life, but his own buttocks were not clean. There are always some things that seem very complicated, but if you make up your mind and implement them step by step, you will find that everything is not as difficult as you imagined. The key to success or failure depends on the lack of courage and strength to implement it.

The internal affairs of Qiao Bing's family are actually like Laozi's morality and Confucius' benevolence and etiquette. No matter which one you choose, you will have the opportunity to change the fate of the Qiao family. No choice.

Although Qiao Bin stated on stage that "morality, benevolence, righteousness and propriety are actually the same", in reality, he neither chose morality nor benevolence, righteousness and propriety.

  He finally chose "Benefits".

Just when Qiao Bing was about to complete the preparations for the scripture teaching ceremony, some people suddenly came to the Dali Temple in Chang'an City on this day...
