Tome of Blood

Chapter 21: -21-Tool Cat and Miss Playwright

Chapter 21-21-Tool Cat and Miss Playwright

"Your Magistrate! It's the courtyard in front! I saw with my own eyes a carriage go in, accompanied by two servants on horseback!"

"They still have crossbows in their hands!"

On the dilapidated street, a skinny homeless man pointed to the yard not far away, and said flatteringly.

In front of him are two teams of knights.

A team wearing black robes and holding silver swords, obviously knights of the witcher house, led by the female knight Kara of the second rank of Silver Moon and the son of the duke, Leno, followed by the anxious old servant of the Castel family, Ka. Simodo.

The other team was uniformly dressed in leather armor, and they were the city guards of Boulder City, led by a nobleman in robes with a mustache.

It was the robed nobleman who spoke to the tramp.

He pinched his mustache reservedly, nodded slightly, and then looked flatteringly at Leno on the other side:

"Lord Leno, this should be here. This used to be the estate of Earl Broyle. After the disaster ten years ago, this place was abandoned."

"We received a report more than ten minutes ago that someone was galloping on a horse in the city. The description of the carriage is very similar to the carriage of the Castel family, and it is likely to be the hijacker."

Leonor nodded solemnly, then looked at Kara.

Kara did not speak, but directly led the Demon Hunter Knight and rushed in.

Leno was stunned, subconsciously wanting to keep up, but after glancing at the homeless man who looked forward to fawning, he stopped again, and groped in his pocket.

The homeless man's eyes gradually brightened, full of hope.

But after touching it for a while, Leno looked a little embarrassed.

He glanced at the homeless man, coughed dryly, looked away unnaturally, and said to other people as if nothing had happened:

"Captain Kara has already entered, let's follow quickly."

After finishing speaking, he drove his horse and followed.

The tramp sighed, and looked at the nobleman in robes who was the magistrate.

  Robe Nobility:…

"What are you still doing in a daze? Get out of the way! Can you afford to delay the work of the Demon Hunter?!"

He had a stern face, whipped the whip in the air, and said coldly.

Then, he rushed in with the rest of the city guards.

Only the tramp is left cursing and eating ashes in the swirling dust:

"Bah! Noble bastard! Curse you for giving birth without an **** hole!"

  …

A group of people entered the courtyard, and a strong smell of blood rushed to their faces.

Everyone's complexion changed almost at the same time.

Kara glanced at the beast-like bloodstains on the ground, got off her horse, and knelt down on one knee to grab a fistful of blood-stained soil.

"The blood had solidified not long ago. It should have been fifteen minutes to half an hour ago. Judging from the traces of the battle, it should be some kind of small monster, which tends to be humanoid."

Leno also followed, glanced around, and said.

Kara glanced at him unexpectedly, but didn't speak to him.

Her gaze followed the bloodstains to the broken carriage and hideous corpse not far away.

"Two attendants had their hearts ripped out, and one... hiss... was a bit miserable. It looked like he was the first to encounter a monster."

   Leno clicked his tongue.

As he spoke, he pinched his chin, thoughtfully:

"This killing method... is a bit like—"

   "Bloodfiend."

   Carla went on.

Her gaze has been wandering around, as if looking for something.

"Blood... Gorefiend?! Lord Kara, do you mean that my master has encountered a Gorefiend again?!"

Quasimodo's eyes widened, his expression terrified, and bead-sized beads of sweat appeared on his forehead almost instantly.

"Don't worry, your master is not here, it's a good thing."

   Leno comforted.

After finishing speaking, he stepped forward to investigate, but he tripped over something under his feet.

Leno looked down and found that it was a hand crossbow.

He picked up the hand crossbow and was about to throw it away after a few glances, but suddenly his expression changed slightly.

I saw him looking at the crossbow handle with a serious expression for a while, and his face became more and more ugly.

Glancing quietly at the demon hunter knights and city guards who were searching the scene, he silently put away the crossbow.

The scene in the courtyard is horrible.

After some investigation, everyone has confirmed that the three people who hijacked the Countess of Castel are all dead.

Even the pack horse of the carriage was found dead in the forest.

  However, the kidnapped girl disappeared.

Quasimodo's expression became more anxious and worried, and the faces of the demon hunters gradually became solemn.

And at this moment, a crazy roar suddenly came from deeper in the courtyard:

"Roar-!"

The female knight Kara rushed over almost instantly without hesitation, and the rest of the witcher knights followed.

Leno hesitated for a moment, and chased after him with the sheriff and city guards.

Everyone circled around a forest, and their vision was wide open.

What came into view was an abandoned garden, a silver cage of light was very eye-catching in the night, and a crooked humanoid monster was trapped in it.

It has a pair of sharp fangs, and its long tongue is dripping with mucus. While roaring, it keeps struggling in the cage.

Lai Nuo's eyes narrowed slightly, while a cold light flashed in Kara's eyes:

   "It's an out-of-control blood demon."

"Yo! You are finally here, meow!"

A hoarse voice attracted everyone's attention.

Everyone cast their gazes, only to see a fat black cat lazily lying on its side on the incomplete sculpture not far from the Cage of Light.

One of its front paws is holding its head humanly, while the other front paw is yawning:

"Yawn... If you don't come, Master Cat, I will fall asleep."

"Lord Nice? Why are you here?"

The demon hunting knights were slightly taken aback.

The female knight Kara was not surprised, but asked succinctly:

   "What about her?"

   "Yawn...in the carriage behind!"

  It pouted behind its back.

There, there is still an intact carriage parked.

The moonlight was like water, and the night breeze blew open the curtains of the carriage, revealing the scene inside.

In the carriage, a petite and beautiful girl was curled up in a corner, sleeping peacefully.

She breathes steadily, her white dress is very neat, her slightly protruding chest undulates gently, her long eyelashes tremble slightly, and she smacks her lips occasionally, as if she is having a good dream.

"Owner!"

Quasimodo was surprised and rushed up.

"Shhh! Keep your voice down! Still asleep!"

The black cat quickly put up a paw and blew in front of its mouth, staring at the cat's eyes and said.

   "Hmm... oh oh oh!"

Quasimodo was stunned for a moment, then quickly covered his mouth and nodded, his movements became more gentle and cautious than ever before.

The black cat heaved a sigh of relief.

At this time, Kara looked at it, and her voice was as cold as ever:

"What happened?"

"Hey, what else can there be? It's unlucky for those three idiots. It's a good choice to choose this yard as a stronghold. Who knows there is an out-of-control Gorefiend hiding here!"

  The black cat pouted.

Saying that, it bitterly said again:

"That's really an ugly and cunning gorefiend! Cruel! Evil!"

"If it weren't for Master Cat, I've been following secretly, and Miss Castel would have suffered a lot!"

"Okay, it's good if you come here, maintaining this orderly cage, but I'm exhausted, Mr. Cat!"

   "You? You saved my master?"

   Quasimodo looked grateful.

The expression of the black cat is a little unnatural.

It gave a dry cough, glanced guiltyly at the sleeping girl behind it, and said proudly:

"Well, Master Cat was also entrusted by someone to protect your young lady in the recent period! I want to thank... let's thank Raoul of the Mission Hospital!"

When it comes to the name Raoul, it almost gnashes its teeth.

"Thank you! Thank you very much! The Castel family will never forget your kindness!"

   Quasimodo kept thanking him.

The voices of the crowd seemed to wake up the sleeping girl, and a delicate hum came from the carriage.

Quasimodo cheered up, and hurriedly greeted him, saying in surprise:

   "Master! Master, you are awake!"

The long eyelashes trembled slightly, and the girl slowly opened her sleepy eyes, which were a little confused.

Seeing Quasimodo's ugly and worried face, her eyes gradually returned to focus, and a sweet and innocent smile appeared on her delicate and lovely face, and her delicate and crisp voice was very pleasant, like an angel:

   "Oh! It's Quasimodo..."

   "Us, is this home?"

  Nice:…
