Tome of Blood

Chapter 307: -157-Captive

Viscount Leon-Castel soon met the leader of the reinforcements.

It was a rather handsome young man. Although he was dressed as a mercenary, his gestures were elegant like an aristocrat, without the rudeness of a mercenary at all.

I saw that the other party came to Charlotte and bowed gracefully:

"Beautiful Lord Earl, we meet again."

The voice is gentle, with a slight accent of the Fallen Star Kingdom.

Combined with the galley warships moored in the bay, the old Viscount quickly realized that the leader in front of him was probably a noble from the Fallen Star Kingdom.

So... the Earl's reinforcements are noble troops from the Fallen Star Kingdom?

  Viscount Leon-Castel's heart moved slightly.

He couldn't help but glanced at the young earl, his eyes wandering before the young man and Charlotte.

With his sharp eyesight, he quickly observed more details.

The young man is well-mannered, and his gesture reveals his respect for the young earl.

However, although respectful, it is not flattering.

This attitude is more like a deeper respect than a difference in status.

Reminiscent of some of the secrets he knew about the Castel family, Viscount Leon-Castel quickly had some guesses:

Could it be that... the young people in front of you represent those fallen star nobles who have an old relationship with the former countess?

The more the old Viscount thought about it, the more he felt that this might be the case.

Yeah, and this is the only way to explain why the other party pretended to be a mercenary.

After all, he is an old enemy who has fought against the New Moon Kingdom for decades. If he participates in the Castel war as an army of the Falling Star Nobility, it may cause a strong reaction from the entire New Moon Nobility.

On the contrary, it would be much more convenient to join the war as a mercenary.

The more Viscount Leon Castel thought about it, the more he felt that he had discovered the truth.

Of course, he didn't know that the reason why Earl Ulster respected Charlotte was actually because he regarded Charlotte as the spokesperson of the true ancestor in the secular world.

"Your Excellency, Commander, thank you for supporting Castel. Without your support, Castel would be in danger this time."

Charlotte looked at Earl Ulster and smiled.

Urst glanced at the nobles following Charlotte calmly, and said with a smile:

"The Nightcrawler Mercenary Group is Castel's most loyal ally. Castel is in trouble, so of course he must give full support."

   Earl Ulster said.

After speaking, he pointed to the tent behind him:

"My lord, we captured a special prisoner in the enemy camp last night. I thought you might be interested."

   "Oh? Captive?"

  Charlotte suddenly became interested.

Viscount Leon-Castel couldn't help but look in the direction Ulster pointed. After seeing the heavily guarded soldiers outside the tent, his eyelids twitched:

"Could it be... the third prince?"

Yurst glanced at him and shook his head:

"The whereabouts of the third prince of Xinyue are unknown, most likely they have escaped."

"However, the identities of these two captives may be more useful to Castel."

   "Oh? Two?"

Charlotte's heart moved slightly, showing curiosity.

Even Viscount Leon-Castle cast a puzzled look at the tent behind him.

Following Earl Urst, everyone quickly entered the heavily guarded tent.

In the tent, two mercenaries in cloaks were guarding a blood-soaked young knight nobleman. His face was pale, his eyes were closed, and he seemed to have fallen into a coma.

And when Viscount Leon-Castle saw clearly the appearance of the young knight and the iconic purple lion clan emblem on the opponent's chest, he suddenly lost his voice:

   "Earl Lindt?!"

"Mr. Len Castel, do you know him?"

  Charlotte asked curiously.

The old Viscount nodded and replied respectfully:

"My lord, I attended a banquet held by Duke Violet a few years ago, and I met him once."

"He is the eldest son of the Duke of Violet and the first heir of the Duchy of Violet. He is also an extraordinary knight whose strength has reached the second level of Silver Moon."

Speaking of this, the old Viscount couldn't help but said:

"My lord, this is indeed a very useful prisoner for Castel!"

"He is the most valued heir of the Duke of Violet. He alone is comparable to those captured Violet soldiers, and is enough for us to get a sky-high ransom! Even... territory!"

After hearing the old Viscount's words, Charlotte's expression became clear, and her eyes lit up at Earl Lint, as if she was looking at a group of Quintanas in human form.

However, her eyes quickly scanned the tent and continued to ask:

"Your Excellency, Captain, there is only one person here, where is the other prisoner?"

"My lord, the mental state of the other prisoner is not very good, and he was placed in the innermost place alone."

   Yurst said.

After finishing speaking, he looked at the large group of nobles surrounded by Charlotte, and said:

"It's better...don't go in with so many people."

Charlotte nodded slightly, and glanced around:

"The others stay, Sir Leon-Castel and Sir Vincent follow me."

Viscount Leon-Castell and Vincent Roman-Foer should be respectful, followed by Charlotte and led by Urst into the innermost compartment of the tent.

There is a simple bed in the compartment, but there is no one on the bed, only messy quilts.

In the corner, a woman in thin clothes is curling up into a ball.

After seeing everyone coming in, she quickly hid behind the bed like a frightened animal.

   "Ms. Eleanor?"

After seeing the woman's appearance clearly, Charlotte was surprised.

Viscount Lien-Castel and Vincent couldn't help exclaiming:

   "Eleanor? Hiss... Duchess of Boulder?!"

After realizing the identity of the woman, the eyes of the two nobles lit up almost at the same time.

No one else, this is the lord of Boulder.

   True Lords!

The reason why the third prince Philip was able to fight against Castel was not because of his status as a prince of the royal family, but because of his status as the husband of the Duchess of Boulder.

All his power in Boulder comes from his wife!

In other words, since even the Duchess of Boulder has been taken prisoner, this war... can be declared over.

The old Viscount and Vincent looked excited, but Charlotte noticed the faintly visible scars and bruises on each other's body.

  She frowned slightly:

"Your Excellency, Captain, what are the injuries on her body?"

  Earl Ulster shook his head:

"Her injuries were already there when we found her. She should have been abused for a long time."

   "Abusive?"

  Charlotte's heart skipped a beat.

   "Exactly."

   Earl Ulster nodded slightly.
