Tome of Blood

Chapter 68: -68- Take them down!

  Chapter 68-68-Take them down!

The arrest of members of the Rosary Society was a long and complicated process.

Of course, the length and complexity are only for the vigorous and vigorous Trial House. In fact, the Trial House, which has always used thunder to suppress evil, hardly ever lasts more than 24 hours for a holy judgment.

Especially here is Boulder, the center of power of the church in the southwestern part of the New Moon Kingdom. From the moment the city gate was closed, the Rose Society, an underground gang, was already a shackle.

It was early morning, the thunderstorm had ended, and the wind and rain had gradually subsided.

Above the sky, thick dark clouds are still churning, presenting a kind of dull dark gray in the night.

In the Rose Manor, the lights are brightly lit. More and more members of the Rose Society have been arrested here, and there are no fewer than 500 people.

They were unified with their hands bound, bound in series by the sacred locks, and half kneeling on the ground.

Behind them, piles of firewood piles full of grease were built. Although the heavy rain had just stopped, these firewood piles remained dry under the effect of divine magic.

Several Judgment Knights held torches, ready to light the pyre at all times. The flames of the torches were pale golden, and they were the fire of judgment that could burn the soul.

This is the flame of the holy royal court to judge enemies, sinners, heretics and evil people. It is notorious in the continent of Myria. Any existence under the flame, including the holy royal court's own believers, will be wiped out.

Looking at the pale golden flame, some members of the Rosary Society turned pale, some looked blank, but... more people glared at the Judgment Knights.

All transcendents know the procedure after igniting the fire of judgment, which means the beginning of the divine judgment, and there are only two choices left for them—

Or, be wiped out in the flames of judgment.

Or, sign the most demanding judge contract, become a judge, and die for the trial until the last second of your life...

Even death is not the end, their soul power will be recovered by the Judgment Spear, an artifact of the Judgment House, and become part of the heritage of the sacred royal court.

As for those ordinary people without extraordinary power, there is only one end for them—to burn everything in the fire of judgment.

"My lord Rajiv, except for those who were killed after desperate resistance, and a few who fled to the inner city or outside the city before the city gate was closed, most of the remaining members of the Rosary Order are here."

In front of Rajiv, the second-order trial knight, the trainee knight respectfully.

"Most...? And, why are there so few peripheral members of the Rose Society?"

Rajiv was quick to catch the loopholes in the subordinate's discourse.

The trainee knight hesitated for a moment, and whispered in Rajiv's ear.

After a while, Rajiv stared and frowned slightly:

"What? The demon hunters are blocking it? Did they attack the trial troops?"

"This group of guys with depraved beliefs...do you know what they are doing?! Is it an order issued by the church!"

"No... no, according to the inquisitor, they seem to be hired."

  The trainee knight spoke carefully.

   "Hire?"

Rajiv was stunned, and then suddenly became furious:

"Who hired it? How bold! They dare to accept this kind of employment?"

"It seems...it seems to be the Castel family."

   "Castell?"

The second-rank knight Rajiv was slightly startled.

He narrowed his eyes and looked at the parchment in his hand:

"If I'm not mistaken, the Rose Society seems to have quite a few peripheral members who are closely related to the Castel family, and the president of the Rose Society... even has contacts with Castel's heir."

"Hmph! These degenerate noble families colluded with gangsters and oppressed civilians. I haven't even troubled them yet, but I came here myself..."

Beside him, several other second-tier trial knights also nodded:

"Castel... If I remember correctly, this Castel is one of the families that His Excellency the Grand Knight asked us to focus on?"

"They... also seem to be suspected of being involved in the cult of evil gods. Your Excellency the Great Knight has always suspected that there was something wrong with the blood demon case that night. The Great Priest seems to be hiding something."

"Hmph, for the benefit of your own future, you actually joined forces with such a dirty family, the great priest is really old."

"If it's just for hire, the witcher knights don't dare to participate in the holy judgment. Since Castel is behind the trick, I'm afraid there is also the shadow of the great priest behind it..."

"This trial is over, and it must be reported to Your Excellency the Great Knight. The Great Priest has completely neglected the sanctity of faith and our Trial House!"

The trial knights were very angry.

As the supervisors of the church, it is also one of their tasks to supervise whether the priests are qualified.

"Okay, this matter will be discussed after Your Excellency the Grand Knight captures Sebastian Flameheart. Let's start the trial."

Rajiv, headed by him, prevented his colleagues from continuing to talk.

As he spoke, he looked at the members of the Rosary Society gathered in the manor, and said in a solemn voice:

"According to the report, the Rose Society sheltered the wanted pagan demihumans, smuggled contraband such as hand crossbows, controlled knives, and seeds of source power, secretly colluded with the Blood Demon Sect, and participated in several blood demon cases in Boulder. President Sebastian has contacts with the Adam Sect active in Corea, and has an ambiguous relationship with the most wanted criminal of the Holy Royal Court, the White Witch, the evidence is conclusive..."

"According to Article 66 of Chapter 13, Volume 4 of the Royal Court Code...the Rose Society is confirmed as a secret evil group, the danger is assessed as extremely dangerous, and the purification level is to be executed immediately!"

After finishing speaking, he looked at everyone in the Rosary Society:

"Of course... My Lord has always been merciful. Evil people will eventually be punished as they should, but those who repent will also have a chance to live."

"Sinners who have fallen into the abyss of evil, let's make a choice. Should we be purified by the fire of judgment from our Lord, or should we repent and use the rest of our lives to atone for our sins?"

"Bah! The lackey of the Holy Court! The son of a bitch!"

An angry curse came from the crowd, and immediately greeted the angry eyes of the trial knights.

   "Kneel down!"

A Judgment Knight kicks the cusser to the ground.

Rajiv followed the voice and saw that the scolder was a male demihuman. He was tall, strong, and ugly, with two black wolf ears on his head.

"He is Luf the Wolf, the second-in-command of the Rose Society, with a high reputation in the Rose Society, and also the patriarch of the remnants of the demi-humans taken in by the president Sebastian."

A trial knight hurriedly introduced to Rajiv.

"Werewolves? Heh... the remnants of blood disciples who regard the extinct blood kingship as totem worship... It seems that the Rose Society is indeed related to blood demons!"

  Rajiv sneered.

After finishing speaking, he withdrew his gaze and looked at the other members of the Rosary Society present:

"Those who are obsessed with obsession, stay where they are, and those who want to repent, take a step forward!"

After listening to the words of the trial knight, the arrested members of the Rosary Society fell into commotion.

After some cursing, yelling, sighing or crying, about half of the members took a step forward.

Including all demihumans and advanced superhumans, no one chose to move.

Rajiv, the second-level trial knight, was not surprised by this. In the choice of life and death, most people still hope to live, even if the trial only gives them a slow death path.

This is also the reason why the local judicial forces can continuously receive supplementary strength.

In fact, as an underground gang that has not been formed for a few years, half of the people choose to die, which has already surprised Rajiv. Among the cult groups he has dealt with for so many years, there are not many who can die in this proportion.

This actually made him admire the Rose Society, and even the president of the Rose Society, Sebastian, who was being hunted down by the Grand Knight.

The Rosary is not really a cult group, nor does it have the twisted beliefs of the cultists to increase cohesion.

Even so, there are still so many extraordinary people who choose to die, which is enough to show that Sebastian, the president of the Rose Society, does have a certain charisma.

And those who would rather die than surrender are worthy of being looked at at any time.

Of course, admiration belongs to admiration.

As an evil person, you must be punished!

"Put the holy lock on those who repent, and the rest of the sinners will be judged!"

  Rajiv ordered.

However, as soon as he finished speaking, a crisp voice broke the silence:

   "Wait!"

The trial knights turned their heads and saw a mighty team approaching from outside the manor. The leader was a carriage with a black eagle emblem on the side.

On it, sat a beautiful girl in a white dress.

Hundreds of witcher knights followed her around!

Seeing the Black Eagle badge, Rajiv's expression turned ugly instantly.

His eyes fell on those demon hunter knights whose highest strength was only the first level, his expression turned cold, and he waved and ordered:

   "What are you still doing?"

"Take down Charlotte de Castel, the heir of Castel who is in collusion with the Rose Society!"

"Take down all the witcher knights who participated in blocking the divine judgment!"

"An accident happened, I will bear it!"

Rajiv straightened his back, and the powerful coercion of the second level of Silver Moon swept across the scene.
