This book started writing in mid-January 2022, and ended in November with 1.57 million words in ten months. I can only say that it is difficult to calm down...

In fact, this book was originally expected to be over two million words long, but the results gave me a shock.

I like the background of League of Legends very much. From the War Academy period in S2 to the establishment of the League universe, I have paid attention to the background setting of League and I like it very much.

But there are a lot of regrets in the League background, and Riot Games is currently developing a new game and has transferred many designers. The background of the main universe is almost stagnant (especially the tacky Curse of Ruin and Sentinel of Light written by the skin team) ).

It happened that War of Two Cities was aired, and I originally wanted to ride on the popularity, but since I am a setting party and strive to follow the original work, I wanted to wait until it was completed before writing. Unexpectedly, War of Two Cities is a completely parallel universe. After I figured out how to integrate the setting into the main universe and what angle to start with, the popularity of Battle of Two Cities was actually gone.

When this book was put on the shelves, it had less than 17,000 in it. I almost went to Sanjiang to read it. It must have been 1,450, but it turned out that it only had 950 orders. The book's subscription ratio was not even 1,000. It was so disappointing. I'm a little bit shocked, but I'm still going to keep writing.

The result was as expected. When I wrote the second volume, there were only more than 200 subscriptions left. The editor's recommendation and the best-seller recommendation saved my life. By the third volume, the subscriptions were back to 500 or 600, and then I fell again. More than two hundred, but after two homepage recommendations, but not even two thousand, it really made me feel a little bad. Especially during that period, whenever I wrote about my daily life, some readers said that I was stupid...

Then, I thought about speeding up the pace and cutting off almost all the daily routines. But looking at fan fiction, in addition to making up for the shortcomings of the original work, many readers also like to post posts with their favorite female characters, and League of Legends should have clicked "Group portraits" "Written in a way that the eyes should not just focus on the protagonist, so I went astray, cutting off some side plots, and began to lose control of the rhythm.

I always said that I wanted to wait until I got home and update it every day, but by the fourth volume, the number of subscriptions was barely more than 200. The pace accelerated again, and I received another recommendation from the editor, but there was no improvement. I collected more than 40,000, and all of them were subscribed. It was only over a thousand. At this time, I knew that this book was completely hopeless. It really had no motivation, so I wanted to speed up the pace and finish it quickly.

When I finished writing the later plot, there were not even 1,000 new subscriptions every day, and the follow-up subscriptions were less than 200. My mentality completely collapsed, and I even had the idea of cutting the book as a eunuch, but I still finished it bit by bit.

It's okay to say it's unfinished, but it doesn't count when you think about it. At least the main plot of the main universe has been told. It's just a deletion of the plot and no branch plots. For example, the ruined curse and the invasion of the underworld will not be so hasty. Tarr is not involved at all, and the plots of Ionia, Bilgewater, and Mount Targon are all brushed aside.

There is also the final Void War. According to the original outline, each region must be written about. Now that I am really powerless, it is better to just finish it.

This book could actually be better, that's my problem.

This is the first long novel that I can write to completion, which allows me to accumulate experience, learn lessons, and strive to do better next time.

Regarding the new book, I started to conceive it as soon as I had the idea of finishing it.

At that time, I was thinking of writing another League of Legends background book, starting from Ionia. Unfortunately, the beginning of the writing was deleted. In addition, the current League background stories are too niche and cannot be compared to e-sports books, so After thinking about it for a while, I decided to write something original for my next book.

Steampunk, SBC Foundation and a little bit of Cthulhu elements are the style of the next book. The outline has been written and the setting is complete. It is expected to be released next month.
