Vampire Overlord System In The Apocalypse

Chapter 58 - Maxed Skill Tree Level! And...

-----

Noah glanced at his Skill Tree, as he saw his progression through it.

"I have 105 Skill Points… It won't be enough to clear it immediately, I need ten more Skill Points…" said Noah with a bit of bitterness.

"Ah… You said that F-Rank Ability Cores give you 5 Skill Points right?" asked Arthur, throwing Noah an F-Rank Ability Core of his.

Noah caught it as he glanced at Arthur.

"Well if you insist, I shall take this offering," said Noah.

"Master…" said Adamantine, offering her Ability Core to Noah too.

"You too? Well, if you insist. I will not stop you, although I was not going to ask you for it," said Noah expressionlessly, although his subordinates knew that he seemed flattered.

"This should be enough…" said Noah.

"Aw! I missed my opportunity to give an offering to Noah-sama…" said Iris.

"No need for more, keep the ones you have for yourself, grow stronger and become more useful so you can be my strength," said Noah.

Ding!

[You acquired 10 Skill Points!]

"With this… I should be able to max all of them and get four new Skills!" thought Noah, as he immediately exchanged all Skill Points!

Ding!

[You have spent 20 Skill Points!]

[You unlocked the [Blood Curse: 1 (C)] Skill!]

Ding!

[You have spent 25 Skill Points!]

[You unlocked the [Blood Armor: 1 (C)] Skill!]

Ding!

[You have spent 30 Skill Points!]

[You unlocked the [Blood Potion: 1 (C)] Skill!]

Ding!

[You have spent 40 Skill Points!]

[You unlocked the [Blood Combustion: 1 (C)] Skill!]

Noah felt a rush of new power surge through his body, as he acquired several new Skills!

All of them seemed useful on their own, and Noah could not help but smile triumphantly.

Blood Curse was a Skill that could let Noah curse the blood of a foe, the foe needed to be at least one meter of distance from Noah for the curse to be activated on his blood, and if the blood were visible, this chance for the curse to occur would increase.

The curses that could be inflicted were only three, and they would randomly be chosen when Noah unleashed a curse on his foe, which could stack up to three times as well.

Such curses were [Muscle Paralysis], [Exhaustion], [Confusion].

Blood Armor was a simple Skill, yet very useful.

Although Noah had already used his blood before as some kind of armor, the crystallized blood was way too frail to be used properly as armor.

However, with this Skill, it was possible for him to use his or any blood he had inside of his Blood Sphere to generate a full armor set of blood that could cover his body and inhibit part of the damage he took in physical and magical combat, the armor could be regenerated as long as there was more blood or mana to supply it with, and it looked very useful.

Blood Potion was a simple Skill as well, it let Noah convert his blood into a restorative liquid, similarly to how Poisonous Blood could let him convert his blood into poison.

Of course, such liquid would not be effective on him, but could be effective in any of his subordinates, and even other non-vampiric beings.

The intensity of its healing power was based on the Skill proficiency level, but it seemed to even be capable of healing status effects at the proficiency level of 1.

And last but not least, Blood Combustion was a Skill that could let Noah be capable of combusting his own blood, making it explode.

The power and intensity of this were based on his Mind Attribute Value and the Skill's Proficiency Level, and he could also use his own blood, throwing it over his foes and then making it detonate, as long as the blood he threw were at least at a distance of two meters from him.

This last Skill seemed incredibly strong if used correctly, and Noah could not wait to use it in the monsters he was planning to hunt tonight with his family of vampires.

However, the System had other plans for him at the moment.

Ding!

[You have completed the [Level: I] of the Blood Progenitor Skill Tree!]

[You have unlocked [Level: II]!]

"Oh, this was quite obvious… Perhaps I should check these new Skills and see how much they will cost me, I would assume that the cost of Skill Points needed will keep increasing…" thought Noah, as the System once more startled him.

Ding!

[Conditions for [Evolution] have been achieved!]

[Conditions: Reach 75 in every Attribute Value and unlock all of the [Level: I] of the Blood Progenitor Skill Tree completed!]

[Do you wish to evolve into [Level II: Vampire Noble]?]

[>YES NO]

What was showing in front of Noah was not something he had been expecting.

Evolution.

Something that, according to Noah's knowledge, was not really a concept at all in this world.

He had heard that strong enough Mutated Beast would mutate into greater types of beasts, but that was never said to be actual Evolution.

And monsters that emerged from Dungeons would never increase their Ranks, so they seemed to not be able to evolve.

Yet… he was able to evolve, somehow!

"Oi, Dracula… What is this? The System says I can evolve into a Vampire Noble," said Noah, as the Blood Progenitor suddenly woke up from his sleep startled!

"W-What?! You… You can evolve now?!" roared the Blood Progenitor in awe!

This seemed to not be something he did not know about, in fact, he was surprised that he could do it, but not surprised about a concept he did not know about!

"Oh? So you know about evolution, spit it out," said Noah.

"Tch! …In Abyss, Vampires can evolve after reaching certain stages in our Blood Core Cultivation… You seem to have reached Stage 2, and can evolve into a Vampire Noble. We, Vampires, have many Ranks, which seem to be similar to the aristocratic titles of your world, each of our evolutions is based on one of such titles of nobility. You were a simple Vampire, but now, you can raise into a Vampire Noble, slowly rising in the hierarchy… There are many other Evolutions… My former one was a… Crimson Vampire Blood Overlord! I was… just some steps behind reaching Vampire God!" said the Blood Progenitor.

"So that was your actual race, Blood Progenitor is simply your monster name then?" asked Noah.

"Indeed… that's the name that this System has given to me… as a monster…" said the Blood Progenitor.
