-Congratulations! Your Level has risen from 0 to 1!

-Got 10 AP( Additional 3 AP due to the title's effect)

-Got 10 SP

It took me three Grass Lizards to fully level up to level 1. If it was another class that is not the Versatile Class, one Grass Lizard is enough to level up. Still, that is enough proof on why this class needs heavy grind as it is indeed going to heavily rely on grinding and extra experience earned from quests and kills.

I can certainly do some Instant Kills by exploiting the weak points of the monsters but they are not so necessary to do right now as they are easy to kill and not necessary for me to perform it.

I checked my stat and decided to spend my newly earned AP. The SP will have to wait once I get into the inn. This time around, I spent 3 AP on STR, and 3 AP on AGI. 2 AP for the DEX, and also 5 AP for the INT. I didn't put any on the END stat though since most of my equipped equipment raises the END stat. Sure it might allow me to become a tanker and soak more in hits but I definitely don't need to be that tanky as I don't specialize to be a tank player. I won't be needing any additional health and defense for now. I want to focus on my speed and strength alongside my magic skills. With the Magician and Magic Knight combined, perhaps I can find a good combination of skills to use in battle using what I learned in both classes. That is why I want to focus on raising my mana first so that I can sustain my power to keep on using magic skills. The higher the INT stat is, the higher the mana capacity and mana regeneration are. As for my other stats, yep, pretty mediocre.

As expected, the Versatile class has a very high EXP intake, and just looking at how the increase is, it certainly is not a beginner-friendly class.  After getting to level 1, I already need to get 2000 EXP just to hit level 2. That would be equivalent to around 20-30 Grass Lizards. Once I managed to pass the level of the monster I am killing, the amount of EXP will also be reduced horribly that is why you can't continue killing the same monster, again and again, to level up to a higher level. It's quite a big amount of penalty. Normal players, once reaching the level 1 threshold, would only need 1000 experience. It might not look as bad as it looks right now but once my level gets a lot higher and higher, the number will definitely feel like trouble in the future and a chore to grind in the near future. Even I am not looking forward to it.

Looking at the monsters, it seems their numbers are getting lower and lower seeing the number of players are already starting to gather around the Grass Lizard's habitat. Sooner or later, getting one monster to kill will take some time before you can successfully do it. I should hurry up myself too.

I spotted three grass lizards in a distance. It is a pain but I have to do this quickly.

"Should I do that?"

There is a technique I know in real life that I practice before. Perhaps I can use that to instantly kill all three monsters without them getting stolen by other players.

I changed my weapon into a katana. I don't have skills yet that can be used with it but I have the experience in real life that I can use. Perhaps, this will work as I have abandoned this method years ago after I did not find any sort of use to this technique. Maybe I was a fool for not using it in the game in the past too.

Focusing on the three monsters, I held the scabbard of the Versatile Weapon that is now on its katana mode. It was great to see that it also has its own scabbard as the playstyle of a samurai has to do with its scabbard. Putting the katana and the scabbard on my hip, I pushed the handguard of the katana using my thumb and when the opportunity appeared, I slowly closed my eyes and proceed to the kill.

SWISH

SWISH

SWISH

"SKREEEEEEEEE!"

The tiny screams of the Grass Lizards after they died echoed in my ears before I opened my eyes. Behind me are the three targets that were killed simultaneously. It looks like I still retain the training that I did and still have some muscle memory in them. Too bad that it seems I have gotten too bad at it, I have to do three swings just to kill three monsters. It usually needed one swing to perform that much of a kill.

I swing the katana to the side, flicking off the sticking blood on the blade before returning it to the scabbard. It looks like I have made a mistake in the past timeline abandoning this. Perhaps, things would be much better than what happened before but there is nothing I can do anymore. I changed the form of the Versatile Weapon into a knife and went to the dead bodies of the monsters. Despite being dead monsters and giving a few drops, I needed to earn extra money, leaving their dead bodies would just be a big waste.

After inspecting them, I started to butcher their dead bodies and skin them up for some materials I needed. Slicing their open mouths to their main bodies, the three grass lizards' bodies were each sliced cleanly in half, instantly killing them. Not too far from me is a small armor that has also been dropped by one of them. Perhaps I got lucky and a piece of armor dropped from the loot.

Unfortunately, the pelt is unusable as I cut the monster too cleanly in half. If I managed to behead the Grass Lizard, it would have been much better to get a full pelt. The only thing that I can sell is the sticky tongue that is a prime ingredient in some throwable potions.

After picking up all the loot, I checked the armor to see if it was of any use. However, I can only sigh since it is only much better than my normal armor. It's nothing noteworthy to be honest but a good replacement for now.

...

After around thirty minutes of hunting the Grass Lizards, I managed to reach level 2 at long last. It's harder finding a new Grass Lizard to kill now that players are now flocking here, left and right, leaving me with no enemy to hunt. I decided to leave and go back to town to sell all the materials for now.

Then, my stomach started growling. Damn, I still can't get over the fact that eating here in the game works like you did eat something in the real world. I don't know how that works but since I am hungry, I decided to stop by an inn to eat. I have a few coins to spare so this would be enough to buy a good and hot meal to replenish my food parameters.

To make the game more realistic, your hunger is real life and the game world is synchronized. Meaning, if you felt hungry in the game world, perhaps you should log out and eat. Of course, there is an option to eat in the game world where your hunger will replenish indeed, but that was not a permanent solution. Once you log out of the game, you will still have a bit of hunger just like before but not intense enough that you will feel like you have an ulcer as a result. It screams "Balance is the key."

Of course, I had a trusty inn to get along with, and this inn has been my very own companion for many years especially during the many downfalls in my life that I have experienced even though they are just NPCs, they have been a very good friend to me like a real person in the past timeline.

Talking about the NPCs in Alternate World, every NPC is able to answer and think like a normal person. They are not just normal AI that are just preprogrammed to do what they needed to do. They are like the people living in that world. Perhaps, you can say, that they are the main inhabitants of the world and the players are the invaders of their world.
