In Morpheus Online, even if players had obtained a common ranked class, it didn't mean that they would always fall behind the others who had better classes.

They too got the opportunity to progress and upgrade their classes. Of course, the higher your starting class rank was, the more difficult it was to upgrade it.

'Was there anyone who managed to progress with a Legendary Class upgrade?' Arthur wondered.

As far as he could recall, while there were tens of legendary classes, only a few had been obtained by the players. Openly, there were only known to be 5 Legendary class players though it was speculated that there were more than that.

'I think only one among the five Legendary class players had managed to obtain a class upgrade quest and even that was never completed.' Arthur remembered. 'But here I'm getting it right from the start? This only means that the true potential of the Dragomancer Class is even greater than I originally thought.' He reckoned.

Arthur's excitement was already on the rise when he saw the fifth bonus that would be given.

'A hidden stat!' Arthur wondered which one it would be.

There were Several Hidden stats in the game, with them being divided into two types. They were either locked or unlocked.

Unlocked hidden stats were those that every player had but they simply couldn't view it. The best example of this was the Luck stat, which couldn't be seen but affected all factors.

Modifying or improving hidden stats was very difficult and there were only a few items or titles that could do this.

For example, the title that Arthur had obtained, One who uncovered a secret allowed him to find them easily. This was a title that affected luck, but only to a certain limit.

Hidden stats often had a broad set of effects and thus were one of the things that functioned as a random factor in a player's stats.

Then there were locked Hidden stats that weren't usable by all players. They would only become available to those who obtained them somehow. Usually, this was in the form of a class or some kind of an item.

The Hidden stats that were obtained from an item were not modifiable while those that were obtained from a class could still be improved. They were greatly sought out, as it basically meant having an advantage that the other player didn't have.

Arthur was even more excited since the hidden stat would be coming along with the class.

'What kind of stat would be appropriate for this class?' Arthur knew he had to wait till the entire process was finished.

At this point, he couldn't even see his surroundings since the light was blinding. Only the game interface was visible and so were the notifications.

~DING~

>Your Pet 'Great Horn Bramble Beetle' is evolving<

'So it finally starts.' Arthur saw the next notification.

Pets in the game could also evolve and improve. In a way, this was the same as class change for them while still being a bit different. They improved in grades upon evolving and could turn into entirely different creatures upon finishing it.

There were many routes for their evolution too, with some being better and some worse.

'Since this is related to the Dragomancer class and the voice said the beast needed to have a Dragon bloodline, it should be an evolution that takes that path.' Arthur reckoned.

He could only watch the notifications for the progress, as his vision was basically a blank white right now.

A couple of minutes passed before the next notification appeared.

'What the…' Upon seeing the stat changes of the Beetle, Arthur was astonished. 'Just how many stats did it grow?' he counted the number of stats that had increased.

All the stats of the beast had increased, and a new skill was added.

'Twenty three stat points were added… that's basically the same as gaining five levels… and this was just the baseline adjustment of stats. The actual growth from level up will increase as well.' After calculating the stat growth, Arthur was shocked.

After all, this was just his pet that had improved. He didn't even know how much improvement he himself would have.

After calming down, Arthur focused on the other changes that had happened.

'Just as I thought, the beetle turned into a Draconid and even gained their signature breath skill.' Arthur observed.

Draconids were one of the many types of beasts that had descended from the Dragons. While they didn't have the same powers as the dragons, they were still stronger than most of the other beasts.

There were many kinds of Draconids too, as they were usually hybrids of other beasts and had some characteristics of the dragons.

The most common kinds one might have seen were serpents or lizard type Draconids.

In fact, this was the very requirement one needed to fulfill, in order to pass the Trial of the Dragomancer. Bring a beast that had a dragon bloodline and had the potential to turn into a Draconid.

But around the Kestrel Village, there was just one mob that fulfilled this condition, which was the Great Horn Bramble Beetle!

Without the beetle, Arthur would have never been able to obtain the class.
