A day at Hogwarts

Chapter 21 Sending out the mission

"There is a 'spider reaper' in the Forbidden Forest. He first appeared eight years ago. Every time he kills acromantulas, he cuts off all their legs."

"Although the acromantula hasn't seen him before, they are very scared. Once they see a corpse with no legs, they dare not come for a long time."

"We are also following the example of the spider harvesters, so that those giant eight-eyed spiders dare not come here."

On the way to the tribe, Ronan explained to Charles why they cut off the legs of the acromander corpse.

Charles put on a look of surprise, thinking he already knew what was going on.

He asked Ronan suspiciously: "Do those acromants often attack you?"

"Yeah..." Ronan sighed deeply.

Twilight on the other side whispered to Charles, "Three years ago, Uncle Ronan's son was killed by an acromantula."

Ronan sighed again, looked up at the sky among the branches, and said in a low voice, "This is the fate of the stars."

Charles also sighed.

Twilight whispered, "It would be nice if that person was still around."

Charles asked her, "Who?"

Twilight said with some disappointment: "He was the guardian of the Forbidden Forest many years ago. The Great Elder said that there were many poachers in the Forbidden Forest at that time, and those dark wizards were also hunting us. He killed us all by himself. All poachers."

Charles nodded and asked curiously, "What are his characteristics?"

"His wand was fifteen inches," said Ronan. "That's the only record of him."

"The stars foretell that he will return."

Charles nodded, 381㎜ wand, this is a good clue, go to the library to look for it when you have time, or ask the old man.

He asked again: "Those giant eight-eyed spiders are so harmful, have you thought of any solutions?"

Ronan shook his head, and said slowly: "There are too many of them, and they lay many and fast eggs. One brood can be hatched in six to eight weeks, and there are hundreds of them in one brood."

"My father, they used to destroy the spider nests in winter when the acromantulas were not around, but those spiders hid and slept in the caves, and the cave entrances were covered with thick leaves, so they couldn't be seen at all."

"The eight-eyed spider woke up because of the ground shaking, and surrounded them from all directions. Only Bane's father came back to tell us what happened, but he was too poisoned."

Charles fell silent when he heard this, and after thinking for a moment, he said, "I will help."

He also "remembers" some episodes about the centaur. The centaur dislikes humans very much and can only do so not to harm minors.

Just now Ronan called himself "Pony", and now he brought him back to the tribe, and the other centaurs did not object, which meant that they regarded him as a partner because they saved Twilight just now.

If a partner is in trouble, he will naturally help if he can.

As for Hagrid, who is like the grandpa of the acromantula, I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with him.

Charles thought, if he wanted to wipe out the acromantia at once, there was no way.

But I can learn from the Gulf War that just ended this year, bombing key targets, such as the place where eight-eyed spiders lay eggs.

Ronan shook his head and said, "I can hear that you really want to help us, but you are just a pony, and you will hurt yourself if you act rashly."

"If you really want to help, you can help us find the Spider Harvester, we would like to thank you very much."

Charles would like to say that I will give you his phone number, and you can find him yourself.

The centaur tribe soon appeared in front of Charles' eyes, surrounded by a wall made of tall tree trunks, and there were many foals that looked like one or two years old playing in the open space outside.

After entering the tribe, Charles found that the people at home were all old and young centaurs, and the elders either told stories to the children or taught them how to use bows and arrows.

Twilight brought home the blueberries she had just picked, and Ronan took Charles to the big house in the middle of the tribe.

There was a pungent smoke with a hint of aroma. An old horse man was lying on the mat, his body was a little bent, his eyelids were drooping, and he didn't know if he was asleep.

Unlike other centaurs, he wears a garland of flowers on his head.

Ronan introduced to Charles: "This is our Great Elder."

Before Charles could say hello, the Great Elder said slowly, "The starry sky has heralded it. Friends who use the Phoenix Wand, welcome to come."

Charles was taken aback, took out his wand and asked the elder, "Is this the wand you're talking about?"

The elder elder raised his eyelids slightly, instead of looking at the wand, he looked into Charles' eyes, and said slowly: "I don't think being a friend has anything to do with what wand you use, but what you do with the wand, you say yes ?"

Charles couldn't figure out why he said astrological predictions all of a sudden, and then denied the predictions all of a sudden. A serious friend didn't rely on predictions, so he couldn't figure it out for a while.

The Great Elder continued to speak slowly: "Nowadays there are more and more giant spiders, and many of our children have become their food. My friend, are you willing to help us?"

Ronan next to him could say immediately after hearing it: "Elder Elder, Charles is still just a pony!"

The Great Elder didn't seem to hear what he was saying, but just looked into Charles' eyes quietly with half-opened eyes.

Charles replied: "When a friend needs help, I will naturally lend a helping hand."

A smile appeared on the wrinkled face of the Great Elder, and he turned to Ronan and said, "Go and get the box on the top shelf."

Ronan quickly brought a box, and the elder asked him to give it to Charles.

When Charles took over the box, the elder said: "There is a chestnut forest in the south of the village. The chestnuts are about to mature now. The chestnuts picked there are important food for us to spend the winter. Now there is a group of acromantia occupying it, and we can't pick it. Chestnut, this winter is going to be hard."

"I hope you can help us eliminate the giant arachnid there. The magic spell in this box is supposed to be a reward, but I trust you, so I will give it to you first."

Charles felt a huge exclamation mark appear on the elder's head.

Holding the box, he said with some embarrassment: "I am willing to help you, but today is a little late, I have to go back to the castle, and I will come back early tomorrow morning. I'd better put this box with you first, and I'll come over tomorrow to look at it."

He felt that with the discipline of Hogwarts, a night out was enough to deduct house points until he became a public enemy of Gryffindor, so he planned to come back tomorrow.

There was a playful smile on the face of the great elder, and he asked Ronan to bring the paper, pen and writing board, and said, "You can live here tonight, don't worry, I will write to Dumbledore, you are here I met me on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, I asked you to help, he will not deduct your points."

He wrote a letter in no time, and when he was done he showed it to Charles, and it was indeed written that way.

Seeing him doing this, Charles felt that this matter might be urgent for them, so he took the task.

The elder handed the letter to Ronan and said, "Go to Hagrid and ask him to bring Dumbledore out to meet you. If Dumbledore is not here, please ask McGonagall. Don't say anything, just hand over the letter."

Charles was shocked when he heard it, he actually asked Dumbledore to come out to meet Ronan, what a shame.

But the next moment he figured it out, the centaur couldn't go up the stairs, so he could only call him out.
