Hogwarts: Wizards Supreme

Chapter 16 I don’t know what to name the chapter

The door was suddenly opened, but no one could be seen through the crack in the door. Two low exclamations vaguely came from the air.

Brian showed a calm smile there, but it looked a bit weird in the night atmosphere.

Dumbledore turned to look at the door, and he joked: "It seems that there are a lot of people hanging out tonight. So, you're here again, Harry?"

A head appeared out of thin air beside the door, and as Harry pulled off the invisibility cloak, the figures of two young wizards appeared.

"Oh, and Mr. Weasley is here too." Dumbledore smiled.

Harry and Ron turned pale and stood there helpless. Finally Harry plucked up the courage and said, "Sorry, Professor, we..."

"No, I know why you came." Dumbledore said, "You discovered the joy of the Mirror of Erised like thousands of people before you."

Seeing that Dumbledore was always smiling, Harry couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief and said calmly: "It...it made me see my parents..."

"It's always addictive." Dumbledore turned to the magic mirror and looked deeply at it. Harry involuntarily pulled Ron closer to the magic mirror. He looked at the figures of his parents in the magic mirror with longing in his eyes.

Ron looked at himself in the magic mirror, his eyes widened and his face showed excitement.

"Ah, I think Mr. Weasley also discovered the fun of it?" Dumbledore said.

"I...I saw that I became the Head Boy, oh, and captain of the Quidditch team..." Ron said excitedly, "Does it foreshadow the future, Professor?"

Dumbledore smiled and said nothing, looking at Brian. He felt Brian needed a little involvement, too.

"Obviously not. On the contrary, it predicts the opposite of the future." Brian touched his chin with one hand and played with it. "What you see in the mirror will in turn be your future."

Ron's face turned pale, and even the red hair on his head seemed to have lost its color for a while, making him look pitiful. Harry was at a loss.

"Oh, Mr. Foley is obviously joking." Dumbledore said, covering his forehead. "It never shows the future, Mr. Weasley."

"It can only reveal the most urgent and strongest desires in your hearts." Dumbledore explained, "What it presents is never the truth."

"Never indulge in the illusion it brings. The excitement of reality is what we need to explore." Dumbledore warned everyone.

"It will be put in another place tomorrow. Harry, please don't look for it again, okay?"

"Okay." Harry murmured as he reluctantly looked at his parents' smiling faces in the mirror.

"Okay, now you should go back." Dumbledore winked mischievously, "Of course, please don't cause trouble to Mr. Filch. I don't want him to come to my office to complain tomorrow."

Brian and the others nodded and walked toward the door. Harry walked at the end. He paused and asked curiously: "Professor Dumbledore, what did you see inside?"

"I saw myself holding a pair of thick wool socks." Dumbledore rubbed his crooked nose and said, "Socks are never enough."

"I think you are not candid enough, Professor." Brian said softly.

Dumbledore blinked at him.

The three people walked out of the door, getting farther and farther away from the lights in the room.

"Why are you here, Slytherin?" Ron was secretly annoyed that Brian had lied to him and made him embarrassed.

"Weasley, I don't expect you to call me cousin, but at least you need to be more polite." Brian looked at him with a hint of melancholy, as if looking at his troublesome naughty child.

Ron's face turned red and he jumped angrily: "Go away, Foley."

With that said, he pulled Harry and ran away.

Watching the two figures disappear under the invisibility cloak, Brian calmed down, used the moonlight to identify the road, and successfully returned to the common room.

[Witness the Mirror of Erised incident, witness point +1]

This time it turned out to be a witnessing event, which was a bit unexpected.

However, the system only gave him a reward for witnessing the event, without double witness points for participating, which made Brian couldn't help complaining about the system's judgment. Does he have to take the place of the Mirror of Erised and conjure up Harry's parents to be considered a participant?

However, the plot seems to be very important this time, and the reward is enough to provide some witness points, which can be regarded as replenishing the consumption.

Currently, his number of witness points has returned to 1.7 points.

"Dumbledore was there when I saw the magic mirror. He must have watched the whole process." Brian rubbed his eyebrows.

"I was a little emotional at the time. It's hard to say whether there was any flaw in my Occlumency at that time." Brian sighed, "I hope Dumbledore didn't see too much."

"But everything is clear." Brian thought before falling asleep. "I have been on the right path."

Harry and Ron returned to the dormitory, and Ron jumped to his feet and said: "Damn Foley, he is simply more hateful than Malfoy."

"By the way, he's your cousin?" Harry asked curiously.

"Oh, you must not mention his family in front of your mother, she will be sad." Ron said, "Foley's mother is my mother's sister, but they have a very bad relationship, and we never interact."

"Of course the relationship is not good. The Foley family used to side with You-Know-Who." Ron whispered, "Our family has always been against You-Know-Who. My mother's two brothers were killed by You-Know-Who's supporters. She hates You-Know-Who and the others."

"But Foley's mother was on the side of the mysterious man at that time. She was a cold-blooded traitor!" Ron did not hide the dissatisfaction in his tone.

"Mrs. Weasley told you this?" Harry asked.

"No, I overheard part of my parents' conversation. When my mother mentioned her, she sighed sadly. That must be true," Ron said.

"Yeah." Harry responded, but couldn't help but wonder what Foley saw in the magic mirror?

During the rest of the Christmas break, Brian's days returned to calm.

He mostly sat in the soft armchair in the Slytherin lounge, leaning against the warm fireplace, eagerly absorbing new knowledge. If the library hadn't been a little too cold, he might have stayed in the library.

Quirrell got a dragon egg from somewhere. Brian looked at the big black egg, but what he was thinking about was whether the dragon egg was delicious and whether it was very nutritious.

"I don't think this tastes good, Foley." Quirrell said lightly, as if he wanted to use this to create a sense of oppression for Foley.

"You know what I'm thinking, Professor Quirrell?" Brian pretended to be surprised. He had not closed his mind just now, and was not surprised that it would be discovered, but deep down he still complained that Voldemort had nothing to do.

"Of course, all your thoughts cannot escape my insight." Quirrell said inscrutably, "This is the ability given to me by the Dark Lord."

Brian looked unhappy and slightly scared.

"Don't worry, I won't probe your thoughts at will." Quirrell achieved his goal and then comforted him, "I know your loyalty to the Dark Lord."

"Yes, my loyalty to the Dark Lord will not be allowed to be tarnished." Brian raised his chin, showing a proud expression like Malfoy.

His acting skills are so perfect that they will never be tarnished.

"By the way, your health is getting worse, Professor Quirrell." Brian said, looking at Quirrell's increasingly pale face.

"Ah, this is my master's punishment." Quirrell sniffed, his tone trembling slightly, hiding the fear in his eyes.

Brian dug in his pocket, took out a crystal clear crystal bottle and handed it to him: "This is the potion I prepared recently. It may make you feel better."

Quirrell took it over, smelled it, and sighed: "The Vitality Potion came in time. I didn't expect you to be so talented in potions. I want to express my gratitude to you, Mr. Foley."

"This is what I should do." Brian nodded reservedly.

Vitality potions can heal injuries, restore physical strength, and even replenish a person's vitality to a certain extent. They are very precious potions.

This is the result of Brian's recent self-study.

Of course, the preciousness of the vitality potion mainly lies in its rare materials, and its configuration process is actually not complicated. This is why Brian dared to configure it himself.

As for those precious materials, it was a piece of cake for Mr. Albert Foley. He always had some friends who could easily obtain some weird and extremely precious things. Without asking why, he brought Brian enough to prepare more than a dozen bottles of vitality potions.

"But it won't last long," Brian reminded.

"Of course, I have other choices." The corner of Quirrell's mouth twitched slightly, and his body trembled.
